I seriously don't get this. We got 10 - 14 inches of snow on SUNDAY. Then yesterday morning, an inch. School was called off again TODAY, by 5 pm last night, because of "snowy bus stops an unplowed back roads." There are three communities that feed this school district, Godfrey, about 26 square miles, Alton, about 30,000 people, and Foster Township, whose roads are plowed by Alton. Are you telling me that in a WEEK, they still haven't managed to get the rural roads plowed?????

After vaping Vapor Beast's Kick Ash through the night (woke up many, many times) about an hour after I got up for the day for the first time (I soon fell back asleep) I switched over to the last of my 555. But that's okay. Very shortly, we are going to the vapor shop to pick me up some more.

Much, much, much less caffeine, at least early on. Even if you have decaf tea, there is still SOME caffeine in it, as it occurs naturally, and can't all be gotten out. Coke, if you drink caffeine free, is 100% caffeine free because caffeine is an ADDED ingredient - but in return they add more sweetener to make up for loosing a bit of flavor when they take the caffeine out (that part I actually like with Diet Pepsi). But frankly, water will be your best friend, in moderation, for at least the next week. Say, one soda for every 2 8 ounce glasses of water. And drinking water too fast WILL make you sick. Your chapped lips could just as well be from the weather, though, with this weather hitting the entire country. Vaper's tongue can result from being dehydrated, or vaping the same flavor non stop for days and days with no break. I got it early on, and it was frustrating. Another thing that helps that is making sure you brush your tongue, and I find Biotene mouthwash, specificially for dry mouth, which I have a problem with, helps. After that first case, I haven't had it happen since, but I vape a LOT of flavors, but two FAR more than others.

Bump Everytime You Buy Something New

Oh, I will! Granted, it won't be much at B&M's (2 of them probably), but since I'm pretty much on my last tank of 555, and not many more tanks of RY4 left, and my SO (and thus, my ride) goes back to college next week, I'll pick up some much needed refills of some juices. Then I'm going to do some online ordering, another APV - I'll probably decide which one today and order it. Then I'm pretty sure it's dinner and movies tonight! One last family outing before oldest goes back to college. -

*dances around* I get to go shopping today! What and how much I buy depends on whether a direct deposit goes through tonight, or waits until next week to go through. -

Need more throat hit. Any suggestions?
spydre replied to doodler's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Truthfully, and my post history will bear that out, even though I have a couple flavors that I vape at 70/30, I'm the last person to ask about throat hit. The only time I EVER noticed th was the other day (when I posted about it), my SO had me take a hit off his RDA, which had 18 mg nic juice in it, .8 ohm coil, and the battery was outputting between 4.2 and 3.7. The TH on that LITERALLY made me choke. It's never been about TH for me, and, I don't know, the last couple days since I started getting sick, pretty sure it's not throat hit I'm feeling, but irritation on my throat. I really should call the doc, but I want to see how I do when I wake up tomorrow. Might have one last family night out before the eldest goes back to college. -
This is the one that Tam usually recommends that first timers start out at, and practice in, before moving up the ladder. These are the ones I currently use.....and am waiting on my next shipment of them, which should have been here two days ago. http://vapelite.info/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=62&zenid=g4nu874smpeq5gusitt2o0emg7 Now, Tam has something like Custom HH .357 something(?) I think, which is custom built on order, and she can send it back to be cleaned or rebuilt if needed, or replaced, but it is not rebuildable at home. There are some good, not disposable, but not rebuildable dripping attys out there, from what I understand. Then you have your RDAs - the rebuildable ones. iMedic has put together a HUGE list of just about everything rebuildable in this thread - dripping attys, regular attys, tanks, etc. I wouldn't recommend you start out any more complicated than the first link I gave. And go through the thread in the member tutorials about dripping. Heck, Tameki has a couple threads on dripping as well. Both Tam and iMedic spend the majority of their vaping dripping rather than using tanks, so they have the knowledge.

SVD/VTR/Sigelei Zmax and other APV owners

How stiff is the dial? About as stiff as an eGo Twist or the like (like my Winder)? -

Well, a Provari is most likely out of the budget, since I believe there is a computer that has to be rebuilt as well, plus, I prefer wattage vaping. I don't want to have to go to my ohm's calculator to figure out the voltage I need for the wattage I want, when I can set the wattage, and the unit figures out the voltage based on the resistance. So on the SVD, is it more than one button, or a single button? I have to admit, I LOVED the single button operation of the Zmax. As far as the Zmax, which brand did you have? Smoke Tech or Sigelei? -

I thought you would get more throat hit if you went HIGHER in PG. Am I wrong? I do know you get more flavor that way. -
Well, it's a heat wave today. We got a little bit more snow last night - like an inch, tops. But my SO actually pulled over on the road to call me and tell me to get the trash/recycling out to the curb, because the truck is close. Problem is, the snow doesn't realize that it's 31 degrees, and is still cold as hell, and my guys didn't shovel a path from where we keep the cans to the front of the house, and for some freaking reason, they didn't shovel the front walk that goes down toward the street. So my son grabbed the recycling can before I could, so I was stuck dragging a mostly full 90 gallon trash can through a foot of snow. Shoot, I hadn't even been up long enough for my pain killers to take effect on my back, and I was dragging that through the snow? I guess with the youngest out of school AGAIN today (because rural roads are still a mess), he forgot that it was Thursday, although when he went to the car he could CLEARLY see the neighbors' cans out on the street. But his back does hurt as much as mine, from all the shoveling he's done this week.

Well, I've found a good RY4 that I'm going through 50 ml in about a month's time - one of my ADV. Why?

This thread contains most everything you need to know, thanks to iMedic. Again, a big to him for taking the time to type all that stuff out.

Windows 7 is your OS. Browser, I'm sure you know - internet explorer, firefox, etc. For screen shot, try the printscreen button.

Since I've got this sinus thing going on, there's some stuff I'm not tasting (which is probably a good thing since I only have one tank of 555 left outside of what is IN my tank), some stuff that's plain irritating, so I'm bouncing around flavors finding one that I can sorta taste and satisfy me, and one that doesn't irritate me. So far it's back and forth between Better Vapes' 618, which isn't really satisfying me, and Fadora Vapors Spiced Green Apple. Granted, there are three other evods I haven't tried yet.
-
Nope. It's a 555 blend that basically was semi cloned for me using Jive 555 Nutty Tobacco from Vapor Beast as a starting point. It's from my go-to B&M Better Vapes. For a while, they had lost their 555 recipe due to a computer crash, part of the recipe was lost, but they've come up with a whole new recipe for me, that I like better than the Jive 555 from Vapor Beast. I like them both, but Better Vapes has definitely edged out Vapor Beast's for me. Plus, it's cheaper. I don't know why they haven't updated their web page showing that 555 is now in stock, unless they are planning on selling it only to me (which would really be ..... unprofitable, as I generally just get a 50 ml per month of it, but we a buy a heck of a lot of stuff from them, enough they discount other SOME stuff for us, like glass bottles with drippers). If I see Steve when I go in there tomorrow, I'll ask him why they haven't updated the web store yet, since I've been bragging about it. I should add, the 555 that I get from Better Vapes has a sweeter note than Boba's has, but both have that nutty note.
-
Okay, I've only experimented with flavors I can kind of taste this morning because the sinus/cold situation has decided to hit me hard, but a lot of my flavors are giving me throat irritation when I vape them. Since this is the first time I've actually gotten sick since I started vaping, I'm assuming this is normal? And just a note: when I smoked analogs, it didn't reduce my smoking when I got bronchitis like other people would. I might put the cigarette out early, but I still usually smoked at the same rate.

Stupid school idiots. How old is your daughter?
-
And I'm assuming that's 4.8 volts on a twist....which is over 9 watts which some juices just don't handle. And yeah, when your coils go bad, if you leave them in, you could be setting yourself up for problems.
-
I do get enough caffeine as it is. I don't need my vape to have it, too. But some of the companies that make the "red bull" type flavors put caffeine in them as well.

I need the pros again regarding taking out flavor wicks.
spydre replied to Patricia's topic in General eLiquid Discussion
Boba's to me has a bit of a nutty note - at least, most times, that's what I can taste most of. It doesn't taste like a tobacco flavor at all, and there are times when I'm pretty sensitive to the "ashtray" taste.
