Smoke free ordinance in Grand Prairie, Texas.
spydre replied to ThatCarGuyDFW's topic in General Vape News
I agree, Comp. Which is why I pretty much applauded when state law was passed making purchasing anything e-cig specific limited to those over the age of 18 in Illinois. Hey, that's why the City Council in one city passed a vaping ban. It was confusing people, who thought the vapers were smoking. So, okay, let's legislate to make the ignorant less confused? -
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your service to our country. My grandfather was a WWII vet, my father in law both an Army and Navy Vet, brother in law a Desert Storm army vet, and my father in law's father and all his uncles were Navy vets that served during WWII. As a matter of fact, the day I met my SO was the day after my now brother in law reported to the reserve....building/base/depot, to prepare to depart for training before heading over to Kuwait (this was a month before war was actually declared). The day he came home was Prom Night, so after the Prom, we went back to his house, and I met his brother and some of his squad mates.

Wow, if you were a gun nut, I could see how that would be totally awesome looking for you. Talk about a personalized look, lol. I didn't use my MVP long enough to get around to getting a Tardis wrap for it (or a $50 Tardis leather holster), which would have been MY personalized look of choice with that....

Well, hell. Maybe the Dallas papers have it? Just a shot in the dark. -
Are RBA coils more dependable/last longer than the disposable coils?
spydre replied to spydre's topic in Coil Builds
I'm leaning toward getting one (I'll be making a post on that), but it's likely going to be my SO that does the rebuilding - which means in all likelihood, unless I can convince one of the shops to build me a coil, I'll be waiting until he feels like he's "better" enough/had enough practice to make the coils well. I have hand issues + tremors, so using a torch or even a soldering iron may not be the best idea for me. He hasn't been at the RBA/RDA thing very long, and hasn't built very many coils yet, I don't think. And yeah, was planning on probably doing cotton as the wicking material, since SO said that changing that out is MUCH easier than changing out silica or ecowool, which would be threaded THROUGH the coil, rather than around it, right? So he might run into issues if he was rewicking, threading the wick through the coil. -

Try talking to one of the local newspapers - they may have a link to it. -
Yeah, for the DIYers in the group, I knew if ya'll counted all your DIY stuff, the count would get up there fast. iMedic, especially since you sell yours. Sweater, that's because your sense of smell and your tastebuds are still healing. Heck, that could be why I didn't like RY4 at first, but love it now. Probably couldn't taste it well enough (and for someone who loves food as much as I do, I didn't realize I had been missing taste) to realize how yummy it was.

I prefer either 2.2 or 2.5 heads, myself, and those you can expect to be above or below .2 as well.

Okay, I have to say this. Did some looking at the AR mod, read the description, and a word stuck out at me. Ascetic. Okay, Vapor Hub seems to be the only place that carries this, so I don't know if Vapor Hub wrote that or if Tac Mods USA wrote it (like other manufacturers tend to do, at least I think so because they are word for word, every vendor). The proper word was aesthetic. Ascetic means something TOTALLY different. It's just one of those things that sticks out to me, irks me to no end (a vendor/manufacturer not using proper English - unless it can be excused on translation issues), which could very well turn me off a potential buy. But that's just me. I think professional people should BE professional. And now that I've finished "Spydre's Soapbox" for the day, I'll step off of it.

I would be perfectly happy if spring happened early, but I don't want one of those springs where just as my backyard dirt areas become resistant to making muddy paw prints on my floor, we get enough rain, or it rains long enough, that keeps it that way for another week. I love my dog, but I'm tired of wiping his feet every time he comes in. If it's just snow and we don't have any ice melt on the back steps or patio, and we don't have to worry about snow being packed in between his pads, I don't necessarily have to worry about wiping his feet off. Our last dog was light enough (35 pounds) that unless it was REALLY mucky, she seemed to sort of float on top of the mud, but Dodger is more than double her weight, plus much bigger, so yeah, he doesn't float in it. Plus he sits in it. The good thing is, under most circumstances, unless he's preparing to lie down, when he sits, his rump doesn't actually hit the ground (I don't know why he does this), so it's just the entire back of his legs that get covered in the mud. But he likes the snow. Snow makes him HYPER, and he just runs! That, and I looked outside after the last snowstorm, when we got a foot, and he literally, for no reason, just DOVE his whole head into the snow!

Ah. Well, in all fairness, I have my tacklebox which the slots are ALMOST exclusively held by juice bottles, and then I still have some sample bottles in my cabinet here. The majority of my tanks are now stored in this Case Logic case thing that I stole from my SO (with his permission), although the ones that go in the car with me are stored in my eGo carrying case rather than my actual eGos. But like I said, with some of these, once I empty them, I won't be re-ordering, unless at some point in time between now and emptying them I get the urge to start vaping the flavor like mad again.

Um, what's funny?

What did he say? I have to say, I'm pulling for the Broncos.

My goodness, Wizard. I am ashamed to admit that I don't know a lot about your geography. Are you in the Lake Effect area? We're getting the really cold snap - at least my dog won't be stepping in mud at his favorite spot in the yard, where he SITS in the mud - but we are only are supposed to get about two inches.

Or even checked ECF for reviews. They have a huge membership, so reviews are numerous. Also, check http://vaporrater.com. Shoot, there's another site that has, rather than critic reviews, user submitted reviews, but I can't remember it ATM, and I'm not sure I have it bookmarked. Has to have a certain amount of ratings (I think a 1 - 11 scale, something like that?) before they'll publish the rating.

Even though I vape a lot, I HAVE noticed that I tend to vape more when I'm sitting in front of the TV, of course, totally absorbed in the TV. At the computer, it's a bit less, as it's sitting on the desk, so I have more conscious thought about taking a hit. I also tend to over vape in the car.

This for all of you. Some of you, I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to, but others, I don't. How many juices do you keep in rotation. And do you keep like a certain number of juices on hand, but only rotate a few for a while, while others sit for a while, and the rotate some of the others back in, while rotating some of the others out of your rotation? I'm just curious. Was discussing trying a few new flavors out with my SO, and the topic of all of my juices came up again, and I'm gonna end up with juices sitting forever and I'll be drowning in juice, so I'm wondering how you guys do it. I mean, I have probably three or four that are, if not every day vapes, then every other day, unless what happened this past week happens and I get vaped out on it and need to take a break from it. Then I have a few that are, usually at least once a week vapes. Then I have a sort of well, I have all my juices tanked currently, except for Papa Smurf, I just don't hit them that often, although I'm hitting Turkish Honey Tobacco, Irish Cream, and Honey Wood Tobacco enough to put them in the weekly column. When Fadora gets open, I expect to add Apple Cider to be in that first group. So, I'm wondering how you guys do your juice "collections", am I normal or a madwoman for looking for juices (likely to replace some of them) for that not so often, but for when I get a taste for it group?

The title says it all. I'm not talking about the wicks. I'm talking about the coils themselves. I seem to be running through Kanger coils lately (and granted, SOME of my large recent usage was replacing coils that probably needed to be replaced for a while, but were in seldom used tanks), but my most used tanks are running through coils lately. Okay, there may be something else going on in my 555 KPT tank, I don't have time to investigate it tonight, but one of the reasons I even TRIED the Aspire, despite knowing nothing about it, other than it was a pyrex BDC was because I've been disappointed with the Kanger coils I've been getting lately. A time or two, I'm sure I've replaced a coil that didn't need replaced, who knows. So that's what I'm wondering. Even if it was just one one RBA for ONE of my every day vapes, that would make a HUGE difference if it lasted longer. Okay, I got one pack of coils, I think, last Friday, changed, changed the majority of my 5 main tanks. I've already had to change out the coil again in at least one of them other than my 555 - and I'm not even addressing the 555 tonight, because I have some detective work to do, but the 555 SEEMS to go through Kanger coils the most frequently. I should own stock in KangerTech at this point, I think.

Too bad they couldn't unlock the door to you today so you could just GRAB IT! -
Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly IS hookah? I've never known.

Glad your cough has eased off. One of the worst things about transitioning off analogs, IMO.

Yeah, I loved the Jeremy Irons joke. And Gilbert Gottfried's joke was funny reading it, as was Jeff Dunham's, but with those guys, delivery is EVERYTHING. Especially Gottfriend.

I'll get through it. I have before. I called the script in too late Friday for it to get approved, since I had forgotten about it.
