I think that the device here from TW is the same as this. It gives quite a bit of information. The delivery is a bit clumsy, as are most of PillBox's vids but it is packed with information and really explains how this will work.

I picked up a low res version and gave it a try this week, it is pretty decent. It holds a good 2-3 ML in the cartridge area so it is ideal for traveling. Flavor was very good as was the vapor production. Dripping a standard 510 on a HV device is still much much much better but as an additional option for on the go, the mega atty wasn't bad at all.

Dj.j.rocks Tribute To Mark And His Mods
Burn replied to DJJROCK's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Nice Vid, well done, Mark is a terrific guy. (Please dont ever tell him I said that) =) -
I believe it is because nicotine is derived from tobacco. I don't want e-cigs to be taken away but I do think we are in desperate need of regulation and standards. There is the obvious issue of the mall kiosks and their reputation for selling to minors. Also, as stated before, there isnt any control standards for a product that we do take into our bodies. This creates a pretty significant vulnerability for accidental, irresponsible and even terrorist behavior. This whole mess with the FDA and the struggle of how it will be regulated reminds be of the frustration I often have in a corporate environment where people spend WEEKS talking about doing something while the problem continues to exist as they speak. Hurry up and freakin' regulate e-cigs already; get some standards in place to provide some assurance of product quality and safety. What are we paying these jackholes (FDA) for anyway?

I have vaped at NFL, MLB and NHL games recently and nobody has said anything. With that being said, it is a local policy, of course, and if NOPD are going to not allow it then it really doesnt matter too much what I or anyone else has experienced. Try holding it in so there isnt much output, be discreet and root Colston on to a big game, fantasy football playoffs start tomorrow. =)

I have always been partial to Decadent Vapour's Cafe Brasiliano as well. As is with all of the Decadent Vapour flavors, they are derived from natural sources which makes a HUGE difference. This is why I am such a big fan of all their flavours. Totally Wicked is running a great promo until Dec 21 where the prices on the site fluctuate. I have personally grabbed discounts of 51% (and another 7.5% using the code "caz") on 2 separate orders. They dont sell alot of premixed in the DV line of flavors but I do think they have some in 18 and 36MG strengths and of course, they have plenty of the flavorings for people who mix it up themselves. There is another flavor, Doppio Expresso, which is the same as Cafe Brasiliano but it has added caffeine to it. http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/products/totally-wicked-eliquid/totally-wickeds-decadent-vapour-2-product.html I have tried quite a bit of coffee flavors and most of them were made from artificial flavors (such as Loranns, flavourart and Capellas) and those typically produce the "burnt coffee" type of flavor, in my experience.

Concerns about battery life is allowing me to resist. Did any of you order the 18650 extender?
-
I am really trying to wait and read some of the early reviews but resisting has been difficult. Quite frankly, threads like this dont help either. =)

Is the author talking about the guy from Nantucket? because I know how that poem goes.... =) (good poem, fun read)

Some people who make their own juices (Where is Dave Larson anyways?) will suggest that you dont add nic when experimenting with flavors. However, I found exactly what you described, the taste does change, even when at weaker amounts of nic (6 or 12). I forgot about that way back when (June?) it was discussed in another thread. Yes its true and thanks for bringing back the memories. =)

I had to change my recipes to 20% VG from 80% for use in cartomizers as they do plug up the filler as Chris says. For Cartridges, when I rarely use them, I can use heavy VG only with the Lipton pyramid tea bag mod. I find the 80% pg 20% VG mix to be the most versatile, which is probably why it is the "standard" base mix for most suppliers.

A Question About Hi Drain Batteries
Burn replied to asmcriminal's topic in General Vaping Discussion
no and no, at least I have never seen a protected version. High Drain batteries, in my opinion are the "snake oil" of e-cigs. They are not designed for devices that uses under 3 amps of power as e-cigs do. They drop off just as quick (or quicker) than regular batts. I purchased some and found that they are the same exact performance with typically less battery life. They are designed for high output devices, which e-cigs are not. Why do many suppliers sell them? marketing hype... I have asked a few what they actually do and what the benefit for e-cigs are. None of them have ever responded. There was a recent post about a new device that boosts voltage to create a variable device. That appeared to be a more genuine need for a High Drain source but that has not been verified. a fully charged 3.7 battery comes off the charger at 4.2v and will drop off to 3.4/3.5v before dying. If you are looking for a constant charge, you need a regulated device (variable voltage devices are regulated) to maintain consistent performance/output through the battery life cycle. -
Blu was my first e-cig and while I admit it is not a great performance product for an experienced vaper, I do fully believe it serves an important purpose. When I decided to try e-cigs, I hit the most popular forum and actually found it difficult to understand all about e-cigs from the experienced users. It seems laughable now as I can discuss the nuances of the device with just about everyone but in those first few days, I was lost. BluCig made it easier. One kit is all you need and it seemed very simple, within a few hours of trying it, I KNEW I had smoked my last analog. Once I received it, I immediately started a path to improve the performance and wound up with several different mods to get exactly what I was looking for. I don't miss the $70 or so I laid out on one of the most significant things to happen to me this year, besides the birth of my daughter. I can't defend the performance of the product but as I am now 9 months without a cigarette, which at one point was unthinkable, I am grateful they provided that first "easy" solution that led to the first year in about 20 that I didn't smoke a cigarette for longer than 24 hours (and just kept on going, with ease). Blu made it easy until I could really understand the product and for that, I think it has a welcome place in the market.

Flu Cured has become my goto vape over the past few months and the first 3-4 months I didnt choose any tobacco flavors. I go the other direction with mine and like adding a very small amount of menthol to it. Glad to hear you found a nice taste combination. Another one I found was Banannas Foster and ghost chili pepper extract. The chili pepper is VERY VERY hot in tiny doses but mixing it with sweetness is really nice. Not an all day vape but a nice pace changer for me. Now if someone would just create a wasabi and soy flavoring.

I pretty much make my own juices, with the exception of Vaperite. They are the ONLY ones that I use, I have been using them since May and I agree. Congratulations on finding them.
-
yes, what you have been told is true, a fully charged eGo battery with a low res carto is very close to a 5v, you may not be able to tell the difference. Did you get a static 5v or a variable? It is nice to be able to "tweak" the voltage so that it is perfect for you.

I really surprised that SuperT didn't include that in their model. there are other juicers our there (juice box, for instance) that has a tube that goes to the bottom. SuperT seems to be a pretty good outfit, I am surprised they missed something that fundamental.
-
This looks like it has great potential but I do wonder what the battery life will be like. After all, you are stepping up the voltage on a 3.7 source to 5.0V or more. I can see why this device finally has a reason to require High Drain batteries but if the battery drains in 2 hours, I don't think it would be that practical. However, if you get 6-8 hours from it or AT LEAST longer than the time it takes to charge your backup, this could be a candidate for "best mod available". What a great find! I will wait until the first ones over the fence post up some reviews but will surely jump on it if the battery life is good.

New To Vaping, Strange How Opinions Change
Burn replied to rianscott's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I think most noobs do want a cig size at first, there is a mental link between holding the e-cig the same way you did a traditional cig. I recall being hesitant about getting an eGo because it was too big. Now, eGo is my "petite" model when I am not carrying about tube mods. I don't think I would really try to persuade a new user from a "mini" style. I would point out that they may likely want a larger one later on and why. There are about 6 people in my office that started using e-cigs and many of them stay with their original 510 devices because they are completely satisfied and don't feel the need for a harder hit or more battery life. This may be foreign to some of us but as long as they are happy, that is the point. IMHO -
Not all that bad but certainly doesnt look all that portable. I have seen worse designs for feeders but I like this one alot better. When it is finished it will be same width as device. oh and it is automatic and tunable for more/less. Airflow triggers the release of the juice.

From clues and other tidbits I have read on the TW forums, things in the US have been less stable lately. I think the main person running the warehouse is no longer there. They are also phasing out some products, specifically imported juice, after some customs issues. They were always great to me when I have ordered from them but I admittedly havent ordered in a couple months and this isnt the first I have heard about this lately.

It is clear to see from the responses there is a wide variation. Much depends on strength, availability and method. I go though about 20 MLS a week at 6-12 MG, I actually consume 1/2 the nicotine that Brian does but vape just as much. I also vape alot more when I am in the office or at my house than I do when traveling, just because it is more available and I really enjoy vaping. I go through a LOT more using cartomizers than I do using cartridges and even less when I direct drip. In the end, I think the best advice is that what you come up with that is most comfortable to you is the perfect amount.

At less than $2 each, I find the best place to clean those is the bottom of my trashcan. =)

Vaperite = best liquid I have ever bought, great prices too

Vaporite Organic English Toffee & Organic Kona Cream
Burn replied to MtnLioness's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
I prefer to mix my own juice but there is one vendor that I do buy juice from and that is VapeRite. In my opinion it is the best quality/value available. Everything Todd sells is excellent, even if the flavor doesn't appeal to you. I can not say enough good things about Todd and his vape juice products.
