ESIG, I will bring some over for you to trade for World Cup tickets. =)

The best cart mod I was ever shown was a drip tip.

I am Burn and I approve this message! (removes all bridges from atties and only drips, uses cartos when dripping isnt preferred)

One demographic I have noticed with vapers is an overall love of tech items, Phones, computers, applications, video games, etc etc. I expect that over 80% of active posters will visit this topic. With that in mind, allow me to share what is probably my favorite blog. A must on my RSS list. It is everything that I think a blog should be; short, informative and topics consistent with the theme. If a blog entry takes longer than 5 minutes to read, I am likely bored with it. Judged on this criteria, this blog is an A++, enjoy http://digitaltalk.tumblr.com/

From the TW FAQ: PEG (400) - You will see this abbreviation used with some e-liquid sellers and across the forum, it stands for "PolyEthylene Glycol", and the "400" relates to its molecular weight. Not to be confused with Ethylene Glycol, which is poisonous, PEG is fully approved for pharmaceutical use and is used in a variety products like mouthwash, cosmetics and foods. See 'What is in the e-liquid' under 'Personal Vaporizing Liquids' further down this FAQ. What is Polyethylene Glycol 400 or PEG 400 used for? Polyethylene Glycol (PEG 400) is a low molecular weight grade of Polyethylene glycol. It is a clear, colorless, viscous liquid. Due in part to its low toxicity, PEG 400 is widely used in a variety of pharmaceutical formulations. In vaping usage, it tends to plant itself in the middle of both PG and VG. It provides a decent throat hit while still providing a excellent amount of vapor.

LOL, yes, unchewed. The end of the ATTY doesnt (or at least for me) get hot enough to melt or affect it. You can really use anything you want to block it. I just found some gum ot be effective. If covering the hole blocks all the air flow then open up a little bit of it. It worked really well for me and the flavor was excellent.

polident will not cut it. that I know for sure, it removes stains, not carbon build up. I am not convinced that the popcorn detergent will be bad inhaled. Naturally, you would rinse the hell out of the atty.

I just got it from TW, as a dilutent. I am still in the process of testing/playing with it but I can tell you what I have found out so far. It is gross (to me) at 100% (total replacement for PG/VG). However, when I use a dilutent blend of 20% VG, 40% PG and 40% PEG, it is wonderful. Much denser vapor and most importantly greater TH. Greater TH is kind of important to me because I mix such weak (6-8 MG) strength juice. I plan on posting a full review once I have tinkered with it some more but so far, as an additive to a recipe, it really makes a huge difference.

the only problem I have with cartos is that they are a bit to light of a draw (too much air). There is a vent in the bottom of the atty (where it connects to the batt. I plug that with a tiny corner of unchewed gum and it then draws very well.

I like them and I have done some digging on them so I hope you find this useful. They are cooler atties than regualr 510, I have the ones purchased from VT rated at 3.2 ohms. This is a full ohm greater than standard 510 atties. The coil will run cooler which, for my tastes, results in a better taste for 510. These cartos are very "airy" meaning that while the flow of air is very good, the vapor can be somewhat light unless you really concentrate on taking a slow and gentle pull. On the very bottom of the atty is a vent on the poitive connector that is quite large. This is where the air is coming from (in addition to the holes on the sides of the connector). What I did was plug this with (unchewed) chewing gum, just enough to cover the hole. This resulted in a much thicker vapor and similar draw to a standard 510. Regarding TH, I personally dont beleive that Atomisers play nearly as much a role in TH than the juice. If the draw is too light (airy) then it obviously will affect the TH. Once I plugged the bottom vent/intake slot, the TH was the same as I get with standard 510 atty. PEG 400 will add TH and vapor density to a juice. I am currently playin around with the PEG 400 and will post a review soon.

A little Decadent Vapor "Extra Stout" over here (tastes like Guiness) using 25% PEG 400 for enhanced vapor and TH. Its a stunner!

Another great find! I was sold half way through the post and ordered a bucket of the stuff. It makes sense to me but I must admit this week cleaning atties has been this weeks personal obsession and I found myself on the same logical path. I just didnt get to the popcorn bucket yet. After all, Nic juice is really very similar to food. I believe that the VG and flavorings have a similar molecular setup as food/sugar. After looking at an atty under a powerful loupe, i realized this looks very close to a burnt substance similar to sugar/syrups and even vegetable oils. So, how do you clean those? All the obvious answers 1) require scrubbing after prepping and 2) arent items you want to risk inhaling. (high voltage easy-off oven cleaner vape, anyone????) The theory I came up with today was to use the heat approach. How do you clean the burnt drippings in your oven? If you have an oven with self cleaning, you hit it with such extreme heat, it turns the carbon into dust, essentially. i was going to stick a nasty atty or 2 into the oven to see if that will break up the burned on sludge. In fact, I am still going to do it and see if that is possible but it does look like the promised land may be a few days of UPS Ground shipping away. All the crazy **** that has showed up at my house this past month, I am going to have to find something creative to explain to the wife.

thanks dub, I am gonna give them a shot, I am finding I like 510 cartos taste quite a bit an they rate at 3.3 ohms as well. I dont crave vapor as much as taste, going to start to look at cooler atomizers.
-
not sure how I missed that in my g-search but thank you, interesting post.
-
Mr. Dub, you have me quite intrigued regarding the BE112s. These are compatible with 801's correct? I ordered a 510>801 adapter, with 2 801s and I was going to order a 5pak of the 112s based on this post. Will they work on a 801 adapter?

Funny thing about Chinese atomizers, you vape a whole ML with them and 1/2 an hour later, you are wanting to vape again.....

Oh crap...you speak apanish....

Dave, How is your bomb shelter coming along? Mine is 65% complete!

In my opinion, the greatest element you can introduce into a persuasive discussion is arithmetic. Opinions are subjective, math is not. For that reason alone, this is a staggering article. I have mentioned it in a few threads and will continue to say this, as appropriate until Jeff or Chris lock my account. THE BEST THING A VAPER CAN DO FOR THEMSELVES IS TO REDUCE THEIR DEPENDENCY ON NICOTINE!! I have gone from 24MG to 6MG in a matter of 2 months and it was pretty easy. I am still shocked how seamless the transition has been. I am not saying this because I think nicotine is dangerous, it is because the addiction to nicotine is. If e-cigs are ever not available, you want to be in a position to quit or make your supplies last longer. Give it a try, if you are vaping 24MG, buy some 18MG (or mix some for my DIY mad scientist brothers) and tell me if you found that difficult. /end rant

sorry for slow response, they are softies and pop right off with a minor amount of encouragement.

flexibility, I am sure. I will be traveling for work this month and I always have a laptop with me. I can really charge anywhere I am.
-
yeah, if you look at the edges, closely you will see they are beveled. I have been careful to always put the cap back on the same direction I took it off and it sits nicely on there. when I reverse it, it sinks 1/4 to 1/8"

That is cool and an amusing pic. I do think that we do have to realize that most people dont know what vaping is and if they do see someone do it and they are greeted with an indignant "I am not smoking, noob!" it, in my opinion kind of sets back the idea a bit. I dont hide but if I am at a restaurant, for instance, I vape when using the bathroom, etc. etc.

Same story here, blue to 510 to ego I think the eGo is better for 2 reasons, battery life but it also gives out a closer 3.7 volt than the standard 510 battery does. What this means is that the atty will get a bit warmer and produce more satisfying vapor. This is my experience at least. Size was a concern for me and the ego fits in my shirt or pants pocket discreetly. I think it is the best on the go device available.

I tend to use them till they croak but when I am changing flavors or every couple of days or so, I will run the atty under the steam despenser of an expresso/cappucino machine. Its quick, easy and utilizes water, heat and pressure. To be honest, if $10 for an atty seems steep why not get 5 cartomizers for $10? The ones I just received from the VT store really suprised me wiht their quality.
