LOL another eGo mod/knockoff/etc. Nothing wrong with it except for it seems like since June 1, there has been a rush on the market with these things. I went to feed my 10 week old daughter earlier this evening and she was holding "the dribber" , that was bad enough but then she wanted $75.00 for it. (features a 1600 MAH battery, the size of an 8oz Dr. Brown bottle with a drainage hole for the atty that will "drool" a flooded atty down the side) **** is outta control, I tell ya!

i would like to know how they came to that conclusion about JOYe batts. I know that when I charge one and put it on my mutlimeter, it reads 4.16. I am not sure what load they are referring to, there is the atty resistance and the device resistance. The device resistance is .15, and the atty is 2.2 so effectively, it would be a total resistance of 2.35 or so. Unless there is something that I am missing the wattage is: 7.36 For me a fully charged 3.7 that is putting out 4.2 is really nice. good flavor, which is very important to me and good performance. I do start to lose love for it when the batt hits 3.8ish. When I came home tonight, I started playing with all sorts of things in the 10 - 12 range. 901 and 801 on 6v, far too harsh for me, even GDub's special sauce didnt give me the flavor satisfaction that I like. I strapped on a LR atty and was clipping about 10.85 (effective) and that was o.k. but lost a bit of inhale flavor. For sure, everyone is going to have their own preference and mine would be a constant 4.2 that never went below that. Now, I am seriously considering the BUZZ. It seems to be the ONLY device I can find that I may be able to get what I believe my preference. Imagine my horror, when ONCE AGAIN, I shell out good money on a device that leaves my search for the perfect vape unfulfilled. Some of these S.O.B mods are gonna wind up on an auction thread....

Whats Your Preferred Atomizer Cleaning Method?
Burn replied to VapingSoldier's topic in General Vaping Discussion
yes, no different than standard resistance, works well too. -
probably not the Buzz for me. It uses a battery and atomizer I dont have in stock. I know there are adapters but I dont particularly care for them and it is not too hard to screw up a fitting with them. I have my eye on the Saber Touch. http://vapormoon.com/ It is a truly regulated 5v and a native 510. There have been some sketchy comments made about the maker and the design (like the end caps are repurposed lawn hose caps) with 20% off, I am really considering taking a stab at it.

Celebrity Spokesperson For E-Cig Industry?

In fact, I would argue that vaping is prolonging the life of human beings, the number one cause of DESTROYING the planet. I wouldn't say that vaping is very green at all.... -
np Don't forget, a newly charged ego is 4.2 volts, you will see that puts you in the sweet spot. I am sure you have noticed that fully charged batteries are awesome and you can tell when the battery is about to croak (3.5/3.6ish) so you really spend alot of your battery time over 3.7. I am about to try a TRULY regulated 5v mod that ONLY gives 5v, that matched with my JOYE 510 at 2.2ohm would put me in the "sweet spot" throughout the entire battery life. ....gonna find that perfect setup one of these days.

o.k. I heard on a tutorial video that the "optimum" vaping performance happens when the final wattage is between 10 and 12. This leaves the standard 510, ego and yes, regular 3.7 mods under performing. Does anyone have any information or knowledge of this? I do think it makes sense when comparing vaping experience to speak in effective wattage and not just bottery atty combos. GDUBs perfect vape at 6.0v with a 3.2 801 type atty makes sense and came to mind. I specifically want to know if anyone can verify or has heard about this "optimum" wattage range is between 10 and 12 watts. Handy wattage calculator (just add your measured OHM and Voltage http://thelocust.net/ohm/ Video that got me thinking about this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZKKqi28KcE&feature=player_embedded#!

A very clever advert for what should be a very interesting segment on VapeTV.

I prefer dry burn as well, I do blow them out regularly and since I started leaving them upside down (batty side up) overnight, every night, the good flavor was been much easier to maintain. The other thing I have done (as I drip exclusively with standard atties) is I do remove the mesh and bridge from all my atties, this has made a huge difference in keeping them clean and changing flavors. I dont even have a dedicated menthol atty anymore. SOOOOOO much better, if you don't ever use cartridges anymore. -
best place I have found for JOYE atties is puresmoker.com if you order 25, they are $5 each. I just placed an order yesterday, matter of fact. These are genuine and not knockoffs. I killed 2 this weekend just putting them in a HV unit for 3 seconds, just to burn off some residue. Will never put another standard atty in a HV setup. Sorry to hear about your luck with cartos, I use them all the time in HV and while they will burn, it is always because I wasnt keeping them wet. Nothing to the degree that you described.

I have used both and prefer Decadent Vapours (TW). However, they are both very, very good. I really like layered flavors, meaning there are many flavors in the bouquet as opposed to just a straight flavor. The TW has the expresso, yellow cake, sweetened cheese and on some days, I can even pick up the Merlot. Very complex. You should be happy, I can't think of many DV flavours I dont like. The new ones (not available on the US site yet) are OUTSTANDING! I may review them for those who are fans of the elixirs from Nicks mad scientist lab.

If you have a few 3ml bottles, you really dont have to be locked into one juice. I carry 3 bottles, one in the unit and 2 in a small case, changing the bottles is easy and unless you have vanilla in one and menthol in the other, switching the feeder pin is not a big deal at all, I just blow the juice out and stick it in the next flavor. You get one extra bottle with the device and a google search will reveal alot of them quite cheap. performance is very good and once you get the hang of it, it can be efficient on juice but to be honest, it is not as efficient as dripping. I personally would recommend a silver bullet ($85) that takes the monster 18650 battery. Dripping, 24 hour battery for most and very durable. An ego kit is not much less (considering 18650 batteries and charger. The other flexibility is that you CAN go to high volt, same as joker and stack 2 PROTECTED 3.0 batteries in the silver bullet. If you can spend a little more on the PV ($85 + approx $25.00 for batteries and charger) vs $80 for ego kit, I do believe that the longer battery life and option to run at high volt (same as joker) may make the Silver Bullet a better option. EDIT: and no, I didnt read the entire thread and now realize that I just parroted Brian.

As the Joker is 5.0 under a standard atty load, It would have to be less under a carto, which measures out to me at 3.3Ω With that being said, I strapped a carto with VT Mentha on a 6V device (same as Joker ) and WHOAH!!!! Since I did that, air smells fresher, water tastes better and I even hugged my mother in law. Life is better with a Carto on HV
-
Really glad this is understood now, I couldn't find a manual for the Joker as I was interested in the device. Most (if not all) manufactures list the device voltage pre-load. I presumed that was the same with the Joker. I am glad I held off on my purchase as what I would consider a 6V device would be a bit harsh for me. Good Find Brian, thanks for posting.

Soooo.... what do you think of them?

I thought this may be a nice place to copy/paste Vaprlife's warranty info. It is a pretty fair deal, IMHO. This is from the www.vaprlife.com site. ~*WARRANTIES*~ All VaprLife units are warrantied for(90) days from date-of-original purchase, & are non-transferable. Any units which have exceeded their (90) day warranty will not be repaired- unless our Repair Service has first been purchased. Additionally- All warranties on any new unit sold by VaprLife will be considered null and void- -IF- the unit has been repaired or altered by any source other than VaprLife L.L.C.

Agreed and the fact that Luke was behind or involved with this does not surprise me in the least. Congratulations on the noob.

Ego batts that last even longer, 55% longer? http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/products/tornado-e-ni-accessories/tornado-e-nic-mega-1000mah-manual-2-2-product.html

This stuff is a LIFESAVER for young kids that wont eat vegetables. My son goes through 3 bottles a week.

Hopefully the "button clip" will be coming out soon to cover the button. This way us "dummies" will stop burning themselves.

Thanks for the clarification, Jeffrey. I don't think anyone, besides my mother in law, would want a juice associated with the crap that comes in the pre filled cartridges. I really trust Brian and FT Joe's opinion and I am always happy to put money back into the Bay State, where I grew up and went to college. Will order today, thank you. Thanks to everyone for pitching in, I knew VT would have me set straight in 24 hours. As a side note, I am an avid DIY guy and I think I make the best juice possible. I take great care with all aspects of the PV experience to get the optimum output. If anything, I am a vaping snob, insisting on finding the "sweet spot" of vaping. I have done all of that for my mother in law and you can only imagine my horror when she told me in a thick country accent. "Nuttin you gave me compares to the sample cartridges that came with my kit"...... Good thing her daughter is hot..
