This is the best price I can find for good quality, this is the only supplier I use for liq-nic. Flavorings is probably the most disputed as there is a wide variety of "favorites". The first thing I want to mention is that you really do not want oil based, this is not good for your atomizers. Some of the popular artificial flavorings are; Loranns, Signature, Capellas and FlavorArt. For me, I have had the most success with natural based flavorings. They seem to mix better when you are making them stronger/weaker and when you are blending several flavors together. The Buzz and the new Precious also have LEDs for the purpose of voltage change and/or battery power. Battery indicators are really handy to have with mods, I do think they make alot of sense when part of that application. for standard e-cigs, there is little dispute that noobs like them, I know I did at first, then like the first time I held a sparkler as a kid, after 10 minutes I was bored with it....

I travel for work quite a bit, via airplane and it really isnt practical to bring along my full size mods, as much as I love them. I usually go to multiple destinations in a trip so that means a plane ride almost every day with little hotel time to sleep. I bring my ego's with LR atties. I will agree with everyone else that it is not as good, for sure, particularly because I am using LTB carts as well. However, it is far better than "nothing" or a standard 510. I don't mind it too much but I also NEVER use it when my mods are within walking distance. It isn't that hard to go back, for short periods of time and is far better than the alternative....pyros at a hotel bar after a few scotches. On a side note, The Crowne Plaza (at least in Greensville NC) has a $1000 restoration fee if you smoke in your room. The reasons to not smoke get bigger every day.

Can I also add a common standard for the voltage of a unit? Either it is the battery itself or the battery under load. I think under load is inconsistent just because the load itself is variable depending on what atomizer you are using. Vaperlife has a great reputation for building good products but their insistence on listing voltage under load instead of core battery voltage has really irked me. Perhaps this doesn't apply or is in line with what you are saying but this read like the Family Guy bit to me and I wanted to add something that "Grinds my gears". =)

according to the site, since October of 09' (that is the site date, mind you) All they have up there are kiosk type of e-cigs and BluCigs. The 808 is o.k. but 510 is far better for me. The design of the cartridges, particularly in the BluCig leaves alot to be desired. I wound up dipping the tip in the juice for better results then finally got a 510 kit, which you can get for $40 or so now...

Think about the process like this. There is a coil that is at the center of every e-cig. It heats up the liquid and produces the vapor. IF you increase the power(wattage) of the coil you increase the heat which will change the output of the vapor. How it changes it can be a little subjective but higher voltage typically produces greater vapor volume and can diminish the flavor. Once again this is subjective but it is important to recognize that the variable that I am discussing is the heat of the coil. A higher voltage battery will increase the power, therefore the heat of the coil. You also must realize that there is another factor of the equation and that is the resistance of the coil/atomizer. If you were to use 3.7v of power with a standard atomizer that has a resistance level (ohm) of 2.2 your wattage output would be 6.22 watts, this is the amount of power that is being applied to the coil. Let's say you were to use a 5.0 V power source, with the same atomizer, the wattage would be 11.36 watts, almost twice as much as a 3.7 power source. Another approach is the use of a lower resistance atomizer, usually rated around 1.5 ohm. a 3.7 power source would them produce a wattage of 9.12 This allows you to produce power that is close to a 5v power source without needing a new device or batteries. These are pretty easy to get and not very expensive, many suppliers offer these, including the Vapor Talk store. In both of these examples, what we are effectively doing is increasing the power to the coil, elevating the heat of the coil to manipulate the vapor that is being produced. A couple of notes: a LR atomizer will not work on the standard 510 battery as it does not have enough battery capacity for the output. Also a LR atomizer should not be used on a 5v power supply as it will overload the coil and break it, similar to a power surge on a light bulb. I hope this is not too complicated but in essence, this is exactly what the power discussions are all about, end wattage. It can be easy to lose this principle as everyone talks about devicess, atomizers, batteries, passthroughs, etc. At the end of the day, the end wattage is what heats the coil and will produce more or less vapor/flavor. Power is calculated through Joule's law. These allow you to adjust the end wattage through the use of a variable regulator. It can give you 3.7v up to 6V and everything in between. However, it does require batteries and sizes. There is no shortage of eGo or eGo similar devices. I strongly recommend that you read all the reviews and discussions you can before you buy. You may also want to stop into the video chat room where you will never find a shortage of people to discuss this with you. I know there is a lot of info in this post and I hope it was helpful. I bought 6 devices until I found the one for me (and I am probably still not done... ) and I hope that this post will help you avoid having to go through the typical progression of devices that most go through to find out what is best for their needs. Remember, evaluate what your needs are and what is important to you. Just because a device works well for me (or anyone else) does not ensure it is a good fit for you. yeah, and it is the same exact PV as the SB just with a tapered design, vent holes (nice!) and nickel plating. I love the SB and this is a nice "alternate" version but I stand by my comment that this is not innovation or anything remotely new. It is the same old, very sturdy and reliable SB in a new wrapper. Nothing wrong with that, except for the video above glowing about its innovation. It is a nice design upgrade and if like the SB, a very reliable and well made device.

drip tips and cones are pretty generic but the battery and atty combo is a good one. You really dont have "anything" all the way, what you do have is a nice little frankenstein that really utilizes quality parts. You will probably be surprised by how many comments following this will tell you they have their own little e-cig monsters too. I am traveling this week but I have 1 janty ego battery, 1 TW tornado battery, 2 TW LR atties and a PTB modded cartridge. I think everyone winds up with bits and pieces to put them all together. It provides alot of the flexibility and fun of it.

Just remember that market prices are living creatures. $52.00 was an excellent price for the 510 kit in March. $35 may be considered pricey by Christmas. However, buying local has advantages and convenience that the market will never account for.

Out of necessity, not desire, I stumbled across a combination that has been working very well for the past 2 weeks. I have been doing a lot of traveling for work and it isn't practical to carry around one of my mods or even dripping, for that matter. My setup has been an ego with a LR atty and using a cart (PBT modded). Sure, I pound through alot of juice, but it keeps the atty very moist and doesn't leak (a lot) either. Never thought I would go back to carts and I am not BUT it is working very well while traveling. The taste has been VERY VERY good, which is surprising to me as the wick is still in the atty.

HAHAA I am glad you found a PV that was good for you, I know it was a bit of a journey for you. I wouldn't say I (we) am a fanboi for the Buzz but I am certainly convinced that regulated voltage is superior to a straight battery current. I am excited to see how the makers of these devices begin to expand on what the Buzz started. I like the Buzz well enough but I think the best has yet to come with regulated voltage. In fact, I believe in 6 months, if not sooner, mod makers (and many e-cig makers) will not even bother with straight battery current devices as they wont sell. I know I will never buy another device that isn't regulated.

sorry but that is exactly how you do it. It really isnt a hassle at all. Once you get the hang of it, you will know what you are setting it to because a full rotation will = a certain amount of change. Yes, that is how you do it today, not as pretty as I am sure it will be someday but not nearly a hassle. For me, once I found the spot I liked, I never had to touch it again.

One issue, the Joker is NOT regulated at 5V, it is a 6v device. The creator of the device explains that here on VT in their supplier thread.

The kit is a good deal when it is on sale. You can certainly get supplies cheaper but this does give you a controlled environment and materials to get the feel for it. However, some members of this forum I have a lot of respect for, Kitsune and DDaveLarson both are happy with their results with artificial.
