  1. This is me sometime in the previous century.
  2. If you feel it's too airy that chrome collar that comes with it can be used to tighten the draw if your pv allows you to use it. If not then an ego extension adapter will allow it's use. If you don't want to go through all that then use something to restrict the air channels on the bottom of the base. Think tape or putty or whatever. I actually got used to the looser draw. Like many I was used to the draw of other devices when I first got a KPT. Now I'm used to the KPT.
  3. Zombie stuff never did anything for me till I started watching The Walking Dead on Netflix. I then blew through every episode they had and am now waiting for the next season. I dumped cable tv months ago so I'm dependent on Netflix to hook me up.
  4. I started buying my juice almost exclusively from Mt. Baker Vapor back in March. I now have about 1500ml of their juices sitting on the shelf right now. My fav's are peanut butter, butter scotch, caramel candy, root beer and cinnamon roll. Some need steeping, some not. But as has has been stated here and elsewhere, taste is subjective. One might like their juice, some not. Obviously I do.
  5. I've used all types of delivery devices. Before migrating to KPT's as my go-to devices I was using Vision Vivi Nova's and had no real complaint. Did I get occasional leaks? Yes. Was it a chronic problem? No. Was I overall satisfied with them? Yes. I still consider the Vision Vivi Nova's far superior, all things considered, to what I considered my go-to devices previously. But what I like may suck in the opinion of others. That's why you have to take everything you read in forums like this with a big grain of salt.
  6. My brother did the tunnel rat thing with the 173rd Airborne. Flashlight in one hand, .45 in the other. I remember a snapshot from one of the undeveloped instamatic film carts he sent home with him kneeling behind a blindfolded vc kid he pulled out of one. My reading over the years has tended towards non-fiction military history kind of stuff, usually WWII or Civil War.But I've read a lot of great fiction and sci-fi too. Some of my favorite fiction works were by Michener, Ludlum and H.G. Wells. Have also read a lot of stuff by little known authors that imo shouldn't have remained little known. I used to tell people that books were the best movies ever made. They play silently but vividly inside your head, on demand, no special effects required.
  7. Now that the KPT 2's are out I'll probably get a couple eventually. But I'm in no big hurry as the original KPT's I have do the job just fine. In fact I may just get some of the new coil base plates, or whatever you choose to call them, separately as that's the only new feature that mildly interests me.
  8. The only thing that kind of stressed me going in was the question of vaping. The guy who leaned on me to apply for the job was once my boss with another employer. I already knew a couple of other people there and a fair amount about the company itself. And you can roll into that the fact that I'm at a point in my life where the job is more about liking what I do first, money second. So I feel fortunate all the way around. Of course the money comes in handy for new vape gear!
  9. Didn't mean to post this in the e-liquid discussion area but - oh well. It must be vaphoria at work. Mods feel free to move it wherever.
  10. I'm still fairly new here but haven't posted in the last few days because I started a new job and have been busy with that and doing stuff when I get home. But that's not the point of this post. When I started I laid low with the vaping, taking a stealth hit here and there with an easily concealable 650mah eGo and carto. The workplace is a large industrial manufacturing site and after a couple of days I wandered out into the production area and started introducing myself to people on the floor. I was chatting with one guy who was wiring up a control panel and I spotted an eGo with some type of carto standing up in the cabinet he was wiring up. So I asked if vaping was cool there and he said, "Oh yeah. HR said it was okay. Management has no problem. There are about 10 people out here on the floor who vape and at least one guy in engineering." Needless to say I'm now very happy and a bit surprised with my new work environment. Going in I expected the worst as far as vaping. What a relief!
  11. That's always moved me. Here's one that's as much pictorial as it is musical. It's in the same spirit of remembrance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qgzhw9U9Bok
  12. And now I'll bend your hear a bit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP05iSzpz94 I'm half Irish and have always lived close to the sea.
  13. In the Arms of an Angel breaks my heart.
  14. A shootout. I love it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP05iSzpz94

  16. Here's another: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CeX5VEo10c And another: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFjjO_lhf9c
  17. Very cool. I made the first steps towards a music career. But stuff got in the way. In another life I would have loved to perfect the violin. IMHO the most versatile and emotionally evocative musical instrument.
  18. It's been said that music can be an insight to the soul. So let's have it. Of course I'll begin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHH4DuwdZIY Okay. You've got me figured, but then http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9VdJA6BCww And then http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUtHjOvPKT0 In finale:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4iT7NdoM58 So does your music reflect your passions?
  19. Alright. I'm a forum noob. How the hell do I get rid of this 'Over 18? Yes' thing hung under my avatar? I know I have to be overlooking something really stupid - like searching for your car keys when you have them in your hand. Or is it something more insidious? Have I been singled out?!
  20. I don't know. I wouldn't know an evod battery as I've never paid any attention to them.
  21. There's no telling what details were left out of the story. TV news is notorious for lots of sensationalism and little fact or detail. At any rate batteries of many types will sometimes fail catastrophically. In both cases here it appears neither battery actually exploded but rather released out the end of the battery as designed in a fault condition. I still use eGo batteries on occasion, have used them off and on for 3 years and will continue to use them though they're not my go to device.
  22. No, the brand in this case wan't obvious. It kinda looks like an eGo knockoff. The threaded section appears to be a little shorther than a Joye eGo But watch starting at the 1 minute point of the video, the Tulsa battery poof incident. They're showing an eGo T battery. Shortly after they show an 'esmart' usb charger. So I don't know if mismatched cheapo chargers may have been in play.
  23. http://www.kxii.com/news/headlines/E-cigarette-explodes-in-Texoma-mans-home-215771641.html eGo battery explodes.
