  1. Oh the children, the children!!! It's been a known extremely effective propaganda rallying cry for years to leverage public opinion.
  2. Recommend you keep at it and let me know.
  3. I always disassemble the coil assemblies completely. The flavor wicks get a warm water rinse and get put aside to dry. Like Christie I use hemostats to handle the wicks. Kind of an indispensable vape tool for me. You can immediately reuse the flavor wicks if you wish. After a few hits the water in the flavor wicks is gone. I let mine dry because I have enough of them that I can afford to.
  4. My latest acquisition is a bunch of diy base and flavors. Screw the FDA.
  5. I've tried it. I don't enjoy choking on a vape just so I can say I did it. I don't drive my car @ 120mph just because I can either.
  6. I rather doubt that I'd like anything at 11 - 12 watts.
  7. I still have easily concealable eGo's with suitable delivery devices. While I haven't seen such signs/bans where I live (yet), when I do I'll just ignore them. Screw ignorance.
  8. With a vw device that remembers the wattage that you have set, you can swap out delivery devices of different resistance values. That pv will automatically adjust the voltage so that the delivery device coil fires at the same heat level by maintaining the wattage you have set.
  9. Different juice properties. Different ways you might vape different juices. I tend to believe the former.
  10. Yeah, I'm responsible for a good sized chunk of that $1B.
  11. Your tank shouldn't need anything more than a quick water rinse. There's not much for residue to adhere to. Maybe you have vaper's tongue.
  12. In my case it was the flavor wicks that were out of place. One end was jammed in beside the slot rather than in line with it.
  13. I've encountered 1 Protank head where the flavor wicks were not placed properly leading to flooding. Flooding with a Protank is not a common issue. I've also used Vivi Nova's with long and short wicks and saw no appreciable difference between the two provided you keep the short wicks wet. One reason the short wicks never appealed to me. I did however untwist the wick material on the Vivi heads which provided better juice flow and reduced dry hits. All things considered I personally prefer the Protank over the Vivi Nova. I've got a bunch of perfectly good Vivi's and they're all in a box collecting dust.
  14. What Kerk said about the honor system is how I feel about any manufacturer that touts a more or less meaningless certification badge. The certification does become meaningful when: 1 - There is regular oversight by the standards org - vendors carrying the cert are periodically audited for compliance 2 - Penalties for lack of compliance Without 1 & 2 the cert is meaningless.
  15. I deal with juice suppliers that have been around for years and are widely accepted as reputable by the community. At the moment I don't really care about a fledgling standards org. I got my fill of vape paranoia at ECF. Where was all the paranoia when we were smoking cigarettes?
  16. Like jumping from one frying pan into a deep fat fryer imo. I hold out more (not much more) hope for libertarians. I may want change but not Michelle Bachman kinda change. We need systemic change, campaign finance reform, term limits, end of an entrenched 2 party system, end of politicians transitioning to lobbying firms they conspired with once out of office, etc. Not likely to happen when that kind of change is in the very hands ot the corrupt players that we have little choice in voting for. Might as well ask drug cartels to ban all the ingredients for the products they produce. Fat chance. George Wallace was viewed by most as a pretty unsavory character. But like a few historically unsavory characters he did make one astute observation when asked, while he was running as an independent for president, what he thought of the republican and democratic parties. His reply was that, "There ain't a dime's worth of difference between 'em." True that.
  17. US tobacco industry introduces ecigs to be sold in stores - FDA follows suit banning online competitors. Why does this surprise anyone? Does anyone still not believe that corporate interests own and operate the US government?
  18. I use mine mostly somewhere between 7 and 8 watts depending on the juice I'm using.
  19. I got my Segelei Zmax and other stuff from Varitube. They have a 90 day warranty on it. Good service, fast shipping. http://www.varitube.com/Zmax--Sigelei_c_8.html
  20. I've had an Evic since they first came out last year and I've been very happy with it. Mine was of course V1 and had an issue with the control head separating from the tube but I fixed that with some epoxy. Yours won't have that potential problem as the newer model heads are secured with screws. I think you'll be happy with it.
  21. My ex-wife said the closest she'd ever get to camping was a Holiday Inn without a swimming pool.
  22. Either my hand, pocket or the table top most of the time. They're in use most of the time so no need for a specialized case. But that's me.
  23. What you refer to as "hardcore camping" I have always just called camping. Add all the modern conveniences and you're no longer camping, just staying in a diy cheap motel.
  24. I've owned 2 Smoktech devices, a Vmax and a Zmax V2. The Vmax quickly developed a wonky display but worked okay for what it was. The Zmax performed much better and had more features, like VW. But shortly after getting it it started to have erratic fire button issues and would randomly start scrolling through menu options before I realized what was happening. Many times this resulted in having to change various menu options back to my preferences. As time went on the button issues only got worse. This is extremely common with Smoktech Zmax's. Consequently I'll never own another Smoktech apv. I now have a Sigelei telescoping Zmax V2 and couldn't be happier with it. The build quality is much better than either of the Smoktech devices and the performance is great with no button issues. After 4 months or so I have zero complaints.
  25. I have some apv's more advanced than the eGo twist but the twist still has a place in my arsenal. For one thing it's more convenient for being out and about. It's relatively inexpensive if you lose it or other mishap occurs. It also doesn't resemble a miniature ICBM or elaborate dildo when you whip it out. So I'll be keeping twists on hand for the foreseeable future.
