Kragax reacted to elDuderino in Possible Dangerous Downside To E-Cigs
Let me go ahead and ease your mind friend. For any microorganism to grow certain conditions must be met: Temperature and humidity must be high, typically over 85% but ideally over 90%; food must also be present; this food should be in the form of simple sugars. This is one major reason plants store the food for their seeds in the form of starches! And finally, access to water is needed to fuel the fermentation process of breaking down the sugars for food.
Propylene glycol has a magical effect of preventing mold growth. It is used in humidifiers for this very purpose. Along with its emulsifing properties and very low toxicity, PG, even when mixed with water, keeps humidity levels at 70%. It also prevents water uptake by these microorganisms therefore preventing germination of the spore itself. Indeed, PG is a truely magical substance!
Also, if the carto is made of inorganic material as opposed to, say, cotton, that will inhibit mold growth as well.
Hope that makes you feel better!

Kragax got a reaction from BEERCITYVAPRZ in Tax The Wealthy More?
Tax is a necessary evil. That is how we pay the armed forces that protect us. That is where a lot of the money for public education comes from. Unless we went back to the stone age there isn't a way around it. The figures that I heard were that a flat 10% tax across the board would float the boat nicely and even generate surplus. That means everyone, rich, poor, corps. and any and all income, period, no loopholes at all, for many of the average workers this would actually mean lower taxes because the major corporate BS would not be able to wiggle around and save billions of dollar in taxes they should be paying. That allows the sucessful to reap the rewards of thier sucess and let the rest of us have a chance at becoming sucessful as well. If we didn't pay out so much for welfare your tax base could be even lower. We need to create jobs.
For example there were no food stamps before the 1960s. Now it has become an American staple, this drives up taxes. If you could give the guy a job that would reduce his expenditure of tax money and add him to the taxpayer list, a double win. There is so much that needs to be repaired from the country I grew up in, but the huge huge .gov that we have will trip over a dollar to pick up a dime. The red tape, interagency BS and total lack of accountability has allowed this thing sprial out of control and unfortunatly downward as well. Im fearful for the futre of my children, and have no hope for my grandchildren. Guess Ill take a prozac and lay down for awhile.

Kragax got a reaction from lightbringer in How Many Tabs ...
I have narrowed it down to two suppliers any more. VT and Word up. For quite a while I was trying all different kinds of juice and stuff but over the last six months or so I have been disappointed. I do like DIY Flavorshacks butterscotch
but Ill stick with these to for speed, cosistancy(sp), and pricing/flavors. But the first year is just crazy, learning what you really like. The only one that really made out was the post office, I spent a fortune on shipping. LOL

Kragax got a reaction from Roober in Another Experiment
The drip tip just came. I like it. I think the flavor might be a bit better, maybe my imagination. Maybe I burn the filler. Live and learn.

Kragax got a reaction from Roober in Another Experiment
I have been plodding along now for a while and adding to my "ban stash". Im pretty well set now so, time to experiment some more. I ordered a drip tip. I thought Id at least give it a try. My question is this, for those of you that have gone from carts,do you see a decrease in the lifespan of your attys? I was wondering which was actually better for the atty being dripped on and potentally flooded, or being in contact with a filler material all the time. Any thoughts?

Kragax reacted to kitsune in 510 Batteries
Very well could be that the batteries are dying--how long ago did you get them??
The best thing I invested in and learned to use a multimeter to check the battery voltage (works great for atomizers to)--I know other things can affect voltage reading--but for me it has help me determine dead, dying or some other problem.
Using multimeter for 510: here we go..first set your meter to 200 OHM the touch the red probe to the black probe and you should get a reading of 00.0 if you dont and you get something like 00.2 just subtract the # from the reading you will get from the atty. Ok put the RED probe into the small hole on the battery side and the Black probe into the small hole on the SIDE of the atty or on the thread you should get a reading of 2.2 - 2.9 thats a good strong atty if you get anything above 3.2 send it back..lol the lower the # the better
Now the battery is done the same way EXCEPT set the meter 20v in the DCV section RED to the metal (Dent) on the battery or if you have a Mega just put it on the end that connects with the atty and the Black try and put it on the little gold band You will need to have someone hold down the batt switch while testing ..A half charged battery should read 3.6 - 4.2
I got a multimeter like this one:

sorry long response !!!

Kragax reacted to Bigjim in Water/alcohol
I was poking around a hobby store the other day and noticed two different types of VG. In the soap/candle making section was a seemingly thinned out VG and in the cake/candy making section was a much thicker VG. Was weird because both bottles claimed to be 100% VG. Anyway, if ya bought the thinner VG you probably wouldn't need to thin it out, but that thick stuff doesn't look vapable at all without thinning it somehow, water I assume, but ya might as well thin it with something that provides TH, eh? I would go for a 100 proof vodka like black label Smirnoff or something (if ya can't get EC).

Kragax got a reaction from ddavelarsen in Better Stock Up
The thing we have to do is remain united against a common foe. I for one live close to both the PA and Ohio borders this gives me a better chance than the guy stuck in the middle of the state. If need be I could set up a address point in either of those states and then send it out to any point from there. In the mean time others could try to master the art of nicotine extraction. It is a complicated process that requires sulfuric acid and a few other nasty chemicals that you need to understand how to use. Back in the day some members of my Mother's family were bootleggers, not too far south from here there are still, stills running. Not that I am telling anyone to break the law, but where there is a will, there is a way. If we share what information we glean in our endevors we may get around this at least until sanity can be restored.
