  1. Yes, I use the calulator. My issue was with the sweetness of the flavors as some were down right bitter. But that has been all figured out now thanks tot the help I got here.
  2. I really like Grape but am looking forward to making my own cinimmon next week.
  3. Im still inlove with my vypr. I do use my 510 and 510 pass thrus though. Lived on my pass thru yesterday as I left the vypr in the van all day.
  4. Hi Joe, Can't PM you for some reason. Screen turns dark but no message box appears. I don't have the vypr with me right now Ileft it in the van. I will measure it as soon as I can and post here.......Craig
  5. I have from time to time worked retail. I have found that working with the public can be rewarding, however from time to time you will run into the asshat. It's frustrating but it goes with the territory. I myself purchaed a vypr from VaprLife and have found it to be a well made dependable unit. I bought it understanding the 90 day warranty. Iknow that if it fails within 90 days they will fix it. If it fails on day 92, it's still going to be repaired but at my cost. Not too hard to understand. I love my Vypr and would/will buy again from them. They are good people with a great product.
  6. Yeah, the mechanics of it are fairly simple. I have syringes, graduated cylinders ect. I also have my nic base and 500ml of PG. The problem is getting flavoring that will be safe to vape and having the right amount of sweetness. I don't think it would be too healthy to vape Red Dye #5 for instance. Some Loranns use artificial colorings. I also want to make sure if I add a sweetner that its not going to cook my atty. The Tasty Vapor doublers look interesting I believe all you would have to do there is add you nic base until you get the strength your looking for. Like I said the mixing is the easy part. The right flavoring well, for me right now its a crap shoot. I don't want any coloring that is bad for you and I don't want to cook my equipment, but you can't expect commercial mixers to share thier recipies either. I just hate to spend a lot of money jumping from company to company. It's aggravating when everything takes a week to get here.
  7. Again, I am very new to this and the learning curve looks mighty steep from here. Im trying to develop a few flavors that would keep me happy in the event of a ban, plus I like to dabble. Finding the right flavoring seems to be the struggle. What one person used another says is bad, ect. Id like a good flaring that won't cook my atty that has a slight sweetness like I get fron Chris' Grape Soda. My Rasberry came out pretty good, orange creame, yuck its going down the drain. It's hard to know what to buy and then everything has to be emailed besides. Don't really know which direction to go next. If you add a splenda based sweetener is it bad for the atty? Are the Tasty Vapors and Decident sweet?
  8. Just did some research on the TW, Cappelas, and Tasty Puffs websites. I see there are a lot of options that are made more for juicing. I have to work up a couple of test orders. Thanks Again
  9. Thank you all for your help. My Rasberry is fine as with the berry flavor a lttle tartness is okay. I was looking for the orange cream/creamcicle (sp) taste and was just a bit disappointed. Trial and error LOL. I need to get some flavorings other than Loranns.
  10. Thank you! I may have to take you up on that one day.
  11. I just whipped up a batch of orange cream juice not bad but prolly won't make it again soon. 18mg, good vapor, liveable throat hit but, not as sweet as I would like. any ideas on how to sweeten it up some. I used: 3.00 base 4.5 PG 1.0 VG 1.5 Flavor Would more VG sweeten it? Or is there something better?
  12. Welcome, This is the place to get your answers. The folks here are great and have helped me out so much. Stick around.
  13. How's that for customer service?
  14. I noticed that when I first started vaping. A piece of cinnimon hard candy took care of that. I think it may have to do with the flavoring. It a mixed thing rather that a by-product of combustion. I don't notice it anymore. But on the plus side my sense of smell is coming back. LOL
  15. I just recently (like yesterday) started mixing some of my own. Im learning how to do it because of a ban looming over my head, as I live in New york. My preliminary figures show a good cost savings but Im not going all homemade. I love the Grape Soda here at VT and will continue to buy my favorites from my suppliers. I don't think I could every make that Grape LOL. The thing is, If the s*** blows up here I need to be able to make my own just to be able to vape. However the mad scientist in me enjoys it. The good people here have all the info and help you could ask for if you want to get started.
  16. Just made my first batch of Rasputin Rasberry @ 24 mg. It was easy and tastes pretty good if I do say so myself. Found very limited flavoring locally. Still waiting on shipment of Loranns.
  17. Everything arrived yesterday!..............except the flavoring Igor and the mixing machine are still in the standy mode.
  18. First shipment of High Nic base arrived today. Hopefully the rest of my stuff gets here tomorrow. Igor! start the mixing machine!
  19. I ordered cherry, rootbbeer, and orange cream. We'll see what happens. (insert evil laughter)
  20. I can understand need for caution, we are after all dealing with a fairly nasty substance. I never had any intention of getting into the manufacture of juice. However with a potential ban in New York I iwll do whatever I have to to ensure my supply. I have ordered some high strength base and will have to learn. It also gives me the ability to mix and maintain a step down program that is comfortable for me. I will continue to buy from my usual suppliers for now. But should the need arise I will not be cut short or off guard. Now, I work as a manufacturing engineer and fine measurement is part of my training, I also have had some chemistry so Im going into this totally blind. But I know a lot of people that have the potential to harm or cause harm simply by not having the respect for the chemicals they are using. That being said, those of us that reload or own ammunition for the the shooting sports know about securing potentally dangerious materials. I have in the past had a forum on a website of my own, a forum is private property and I hate the idea of anyone trying to tell me what to do with my own property so the choice is totally up to the owner/s, and to Chris' point there is the potential for legal problems. Luckily for me the information I needed was avaliable from the wonderful people on this forum. (I love it here) But it could also be researched out on the net. I hate control but, I fear litigation. I also fear the people that would try to control our freedoms "for our own good". VAPE ON!!!!
  21. Thanks for the info. I checked to see about water soulability with the Lorann's and ordered a couple that I want to experiment with. Slipping into Mad Scientist mode.
  22. I Sir, am most definitely with you. I will endevor to persevere, by any means necessary,
  23. I have been investigating flavorings. I found out that Loranns is oil based and others like Bickford are water based. Is on preferable over the other. I read somewhere not to use oil base but, I may be wrong. any advise?
  24. Ding Ding Ding, We have a winner. Home Scientific had just what I wanted and the shipping was indeed cheaper that others I saw. Thank You, Im on my way.
