  1. I just set my mom up with an 1100mah spinner and KT2 tank as her first vapor kit. She didn't have to have a spinner, but for the extra costs were low enough that it will eventually come in handy if and when she wants or needs more power. But I had to explain to her to leave the voltage alone for now. The T2 tanks are great deals and reliable too boot. I too started out with Blu e-cigs and hatedddddddddddd them, even more so when I bought a friend the $60 kit that lasted 2 months before it was junked. I'm very OCD when it comes to my toys, IT wasn't my goal to stop smoking so vaping was for my enjoyment only. But once I started 3 weeks ago with my first real vaping setup I haven't dipped Copenhagen snuff since that weekend and I used that for 30 years now. 24mg ejuice is no joke nicotine wise. Back to ocd issues, I'd bet I've dropped $250 in 3 weeks just in vaping setups. But $60 could have done the job had I had the ability to not want to buy and try everything I saw. For me the Vamo V2 and Kanger Protank are pure nirvana to vape with. Even tho I'm a noob here too, I learn and spend fast also.
  2. I just picked out and purchased my mom her first vapor setup. She has an 1100 spinner and KT2 tank sitting on top. I'm sure everyone knows why I picked the spinner, but I got the T2 for the same reason. Low maintenance and good draw imo. I want a mini KPT asap also since the PT is my favorite tank so far. This Vision iclear-30 sux imo, it gives me headaches after a few draws its so tight. I will be heading into rebuildable tanks soon so I can make them do exactly what I like and want as I'm slowly finding what I prefer in vaping.
  3. The lvs here sells Evod coils to use in Protank, which is incorrect imo since the air passage is much deeper on the Protank coils. A Protank hit could be tightened up tho by using the Evod coil. I'm not like most here as I prefer an airier hit as hard pulls end up giving me a headache after a while. The Protank is my favorite tank so far, but I've nodded my Evods so much for more air they hit nothing like one out of the box. I still want to try a Vivi tank and its smaller brother as I've yet to find a 2ml small tank that I like its hit right out of the box.
  4. It would stand to reason the device should report a given voltage being applied when wattage power settings are used. I'd love that option myself. Despite any lack of other options, the Vamo makes vaping extremely pleasurable. I'm also taking my 18650 E-Power holder in to see about replacement or trading it in on a VV device or spinner is a goal of mine today. Its bad when a 900mah non-spinner blows an 18650 holder away power wise.
  5. Thanks for all the info! I've gotten a decent grasp on the Vamo and how to use it now. Its made vaping even more enjoyable.
  6. Thanks for the clarifications! So far I'm finding the wattage/power settings a bit easier to find my tanks sweet spots. Its great since I have and use several various ohm coils on 5 different tanks. Voltage settings were a bit tricky with the Protank and 1.8ohm coils I had previously installed. Its just luck my non IMR cells that are 2600mah are protected and were stolen from my old flashlight collection. I was told at the lvs that the non imr cells work fine unless I'm pushing 10+ watts constantly. Luckily when I bought my cells I didn't cheap out on them and they saved me a ton of cash not buying new ones.
  7. Just picked this mod up and I couldn't be anymore impressed about a device! It comes with no instructions and operating info is sketchy on the web. I have a few questions that I'm not 100% sure on. 1. When using the vv and vw settings is it correct thinking that it only does one or the other at any time, but not both at the same time? I.e.- if I set the watts to say 7w, the voltage should self adjust and ignores any setting voltage wise I used? 2. I've yet to run over 7watts, but I do wonder if I should be using IMR cells? I have some nice protected 2600mah Lio cells which work great so far, or is that a mistake and I should use my 1400mah unprotected IMR cells? I'm using 18650 cells, but I also have 18350 IMR cells also.
  8. I was under the impression it is set to either watts OR voltage, not both at the same time. I read up on it as much as I could find online about the Vamo. VOLTAGE settings= steady voltage WATTS settings= variable voltages set by the resistance of the coil. If you do try and set it up for both settings it actually just gets set to the last adjustment only. Am I understanding this right? I actually am running a 1.8ohm coil in the Protank at 7 watts, very big flavorful hits too! The highest voltage this Bazinga juice likes is around 3.5v-3.7v in just playing with it last night. The iclear-30 likes 7+watts or 4v before it even comes alive. And what is so funny is just how weak the E-Power 18650 holder was for me that now everything tastes different with the Vamo. It makes me want to add an ego spinner instead of using the standard 3.7v non adjustable one I got. Even that holder blew the E-Power away performance wise. I'm thinking it may be defective somehow? So after 3 weeks of vaping I have 3 power units and 5 tanks to meet my needs, but I do see a need for a spinner to be added and a few more tanks. And btw, luckily I bought 1.8ohm and 2.2ohm and 2.5ohm coils for the Protank and Evods. I don't think I mentioned it, but Protank coils and Evod coils are NOT perfectly interchangeable with each other as the air intake slot is much deeper on the Protank coils. It also proves it on the coils I have on hand as I drilled out the air holes in the Evods base and flow didn't increase until I used a Protank coil in the Evod, or if I hand file a deeper groove in the coils base.
  9. Sorry to wait so long to reply, my tablet went to the pawn shop on vacation for a week. Lol So I've been trying new things in hopes of finding what works best for me. For one I found out me E-Power 18650 holder sucks at power delivery. I found this out when I tried out a new eGo non spinner and got much better vapor hits. This was across the board with several different tanks I tested. So yeah, I got a 900mah eGo non spinner which I like but wished I got a spinner instead. I say that as I also got a Vamo V2 also. It hits like a truck with any tank I put on it. But I can't figure out the tricks of using VV or VW, Help? I'm thinking you either use voltage or wattage settings but not both.... I also added a Vision iclear-30 which sucks until you crank it up to 6watts. Is their a guide which suggests hot to use a variable device most effectively? Also I'm at about 3 weeks with no Copenhagen snuff what so ever, not a bad side effect imo since quitting was never a goal when I began vaping. The Protank hits like a fog machine now and I have to turn things down a tad with such airy devices as this one.
  10. I'm a noob myself, but I learn fast and don't mind spending cash as long as its for reasonably priced quality gear. I'm finding I need a home setup and a portable one also, So I chose Ego gear since most parts will interchange with both setups. At home I love the basic Ego-T 18650 holder with IMR cells inside. I then run my favorite juice in a Pro-tank, And extra juices in Evod tanks. Its nice since both the small Evods and the larger Protank use the same coils. Today I should be picking up an Ego Twister to run the portable setup. For around $200 I'm VERY happy and it seems to take just minor maintenance to keep it all going.
  11. Btw I noticed I mistakenly said "MT3" tanks in my first post, they are indeed Evod tanks instead. Which is better since they use the same coil as the Protank.
  12. The 1100mah spinner is $25 locally and I may be overlooking the 1300mah one in the store. I have another week before I can snag one tho. I'd prefer a holder that is able to swap cells tho as I'd like to carry a spare cell instead of a separate spinner. I did get a Protank today and I like it better than the Evod attys, but they will be perfect for new e-juice testing and on the spinners. They do carry Vivi nova tanks also so I may try one later.
  13. Can those cells be taken out of the holder so I can buy bare spare cells and just buy 1 spinner? I wish my lvs had lower prices as they are 50% higher than online dealers. I do like supporting local businesses when possible tho.
  14. Thanks for the link, the spinner setup looks nice. Plus all my current parts are interchangeable also.
  15. Hi! I've never been a big smoker, But I've used Copenhagen snuff for almost 30 years. I'd have a smoke for pure enjoyment at times tho. I moved to a place I couldn't smoke indoors so I tried Blu e-cigs and was rather disappointed, Both in enjoyment and lack of nicotine. The equipment was temperamental and expensive also. Recently a vapor shop opened close to where I live and was recommended to me after I tried a family members ego 900mah setup. With no knowledge I was guided at the shop into a great byo setup. eGo-T 18650 holder as I own several imr cells and Pila charger from my previous flashlight hobby. 2x Kanger MT3 atomizers and spare coils. Also Buckeye Vapors e-juice. What I didn't know was that I would stop using the snuff as it wasn't my intention for getting into vapor. But I get queasy if I vape and chew at the same time. Maintenance is a bit higher, But well worth it. Now I have 2 family members who want me to help get them some good vapor setups and also to get myself something more portable when I'm out of the house. Any suggestions on a very portable sized pv that's good quality yet somewhat affordable? I'm also looking to add the Pro tank to my eGo-T or possibly a Vivo Nova tank? Suggestions? I look forward to learning here and you fine folks helping me spend tons of money but having fun!
