  1. I have to edit 98% of my posts also! Mainly auto correct on my phone screws me up. I have the VTR,it's ok imo. But I'd suggest the MVP over it unless you have to have your tanks somewhat protected. I see it as more of a novelty since it lacks so many features and is heavy as heck, but it looks cool.
  2. I'd suggest the Innokin MVP since the battery is built in and it's smaller and lighter. It also reads how.much charge it has and the ohms of the coil you put in the tank, the VTR doesn't do those things.
  3. People think that voltage and wattage is what controls their vaping, but in reality it's the amperage. The new 30 watt mods are getting closer to what a mech can do amp wise, but last I checked they are only half way there. They do have the flat DC constant voltage down in a mod in the higher end products.
  4. I'd say yes, a weak less quality battery can couse these issues. Especially with a low ohm coil such makes them stress even more. A voltage meter will show the batteries output, but what is more important is the batteries droop under load. Say it puts out 3.7v into the meter with no tank attached, my bet is once a tank is attached the batteries output is dropping way down and possibly under 3v. I'd return it if possible and if you can't try a higher ohm coil at 2ohm or 2.5 ohms.
  5. I can't freaken get enough of this FP GM! I may even consider putting it in another rig so I can get super hits off of 2 mods at the same time. Unless a new juice comes in the mail out of the 4 new flavors I have coming, I will be buying more GM before I even get close to running out.
  6. I did the dumbest purchase of my vaping life, I bought some 5 Pawns GrandMaster and I can't put it down. At the prices they charge I have a feeling I'll be skipping a lot of meals real soon!
  7. I agree and have much to add and explain more in detail, but for now I need to step away for a bit.
  8. Thanks for assuming what kind of person I am.
  9. Some people will continue to use ANY product if it's all they have used. Frugal people. Hard headed stubborn people. Really many types of people that would. My Aunt and mom would only use CE4'S no matter what I suggested and let them try that was world's better. 1 year later they still have them even tho they pretty much gave up vaping and ask me to clean and refill these pos atimizers. I finally told them I can't find coils for them anymore and this is the last one they will own. My local vape shop has about 150 flavors they make and have 2 trial stations with a total of 300 super cheap cigalike sized atomizers that are so bad I won't even use them as smelling the juice works much better and I'm sure you know that don't say much about their juices. Needless to say MBV is my new juice supplier.
  10. I'm an 18650 user mainly and I'm glad the rules of storage hasn't changed much over the years when ive been away and not paying attention. To add to the suggestion part, I keep mine in an order so they stay rotated evenly and used equally. I use a front too back order and use the first closest and the newest charged one goes to the back of the line.
  11. I didn't mention that I recharge always at 3.7v and never lower. I wouldn't buy new cells for a VTR if you have those Efest cells. But if you plan on a mech I'd suggest the VTC just in case you might head that route. 600mah may be a bit noticeable especially if your current cells are getting older. If you know you won't be buying a mech I would have bought the 10amp 2900mah Panasonic's.
  12. That's hard to say as I don't use it as my main vaping device. Before I got my Nemisis my SVD was my goto device and I was getting 24 hours plus even tho my pvd hardly ever leaves my hand.
  13. I use them in my VTR and SVD with no issues, they just aren't stressed as much but work all the same. Kinda driving a Ferrari in a 55 MPH zone. I knew I would be buying mechs soon when I needed new cells so I did a bit of future proofing.
  14. I just added eight VTC5's to my battery arsonal and they still amaze me. It's like they just wont die, 24 hours plus on my Nemisis at .8 ohms and chain vaping too boot. Sony's are made in Japan where they make some of the best top rated batteries in many styles. I'm a bit biased and I'll admit to it, but they earned my respect the hard way years ago.
  15. Let us know how it goes, with pics also. I found building dual coils a pita in such a small space and still get good airflow. I'm gonna do a 32 gauge twisted dual wire single coil soon.
  16. I haven't done it, but I did look into it. There are inner holes and outer holes and if you drill threw both it should work and still allow flow control as usual. I did try and disassemble it to verify my theory, but it's press fit rather tight.
  17. I may have exaggerated a bit, I do know about moderation. But yeah, 24mg is way too high juice for chain vaping. I'm using a kafun clone so no dripping. I'm gonna have to reevaluate my juices as all my juices taste differant with the Kayfun and Nemisis combo. I just had a 240ml order of Moo Juice @24mg ship from MBV. Had I known what I know now I would have at least went down to 12mg. Luckily it's cream base and very lite strawberry flavor can be a good base for 0mg diy mixtures to bring the nic down. I just made a triple twist 28gauge that should meter out sub ohm, I definitely will be buying a test bed for coils so I don't have to keep emptying my tank to test its resistance. Btw ive done rba's before, so I'm good on most safety aspects. But by no means am I a know it all. What's so suprising is my VTC5's aren't even breaking a sweat even at 1ohm. I've been using one cell for most of the day on this build and last I checked it was at 4.1v I also learned that just swapping out the drip tip for a big bore one can make my lighter cream based juices more full bodied while the stock kayfun tip keeps strong flavored juices in check and not overbearing. Sorry to ramble so much.....
  18. MY HEART IS GONNA EXPLODE!!! 28 gauge triple twisted coil at 1ohm and 24mg juice is waaaaaay too much nic.... Now to shoot for .8 ohms. On a serious note, my Aerotank and Nautilus may not ever see much more use. The flavor and TH just aren't even in the same ballpark.
  19. That sounds like fun,I'll try it out. I did get a NASTY dry hit when I removed the airflow screw. I put it back in fast!
  20. I got the Kayfun clone by Tobeco and Nemisis clone also, on my second nemesis as the first had screwed up threads on the switch. The kafun is doing well with cotton and 1.2 ohm coil, but it whistle when wide open. Is there a fix for that? Is it ok to just remove the adjustment hex? It does have the best taste of any tank i own.
  21. I finally talked myself into the mech and kayfun, picking them up at a local shop in a few hours. Not sure on which mech I'll get, but they do have nemesis clones. I just replaced most of my old 18650's that were 3 years old from my flashlight building days, so I have 8 new Sony VTC5's to use. What is suggested wire size? I have 28 and 32 gauge. Boiled cotton balls or silica? I have 1mm silica and 3mm ecowool on hand. I'm just glad I don't have to fool with stainless mesh as a wick like my ATA-T2 used.
  22. That is the exact combo I have planned to buy next payday. Mabey different mod but not sure until I do more research. I know many people upgrade the firing button too magnetic.
  23. Grats man! Id pass on the gold plating and just spray paint it gold and use the left over money to buy more vape toys... I'm about at my 1 year also, I just never remember the date when vaping took over my chewing tobacco habit as it was really by accident. But vaping is soooo much more enjoyable, I never have enough cash to buy all the new vape toys I want next. I think as long as vaping stays fun and enjoyable smoking or chewing never seems interesting anymore.
  24. I prefer the Aerotank on the VTR. If anyone has seen the new Megatank from Kanger it uses a new coil design which should fit all the current dual coil tanks from Kanger. And no, the Mega tank won't fit the VTR unless you use the adapter. Not that the new coils will be a world of difference,I do think it will help the Pt3 and Aero surpass the Nautilus tank in performance.
  25. Even tho I like the VTR I have a hard time suggesting it to others since it's so quirky. It has made me look at and appreciate the Provari and makes me want to make it my next purchase.
