xladybugx got a reaction from ArmyWifey in 'Non-sweet' recomendations?
Well... the 555 I've tried is still a little on the sweet side. Kind of like a mix of tobbacco, caramel, and some kind of nuts. If you want something that has no sweetness at all, go for a tobacco flavor that describes itself as SPICY. Clove is usually a great bet for this.

Don't forget about the clearance section on the ProVape website. I've seen brand new ones complete with the 1 year warranty going for as low as $135 there.

Hi ladybug
I actually asked MBV about why they call it thug juice and they said it is sposed to taste like codeine syrup...I'm not sure exactly what that means but there you go.

4 extra flavor shots? I thought the flavor is already too strong. I had to dilute it a bit. I like my 555 with light tobacco and very light peanut flavor. Anything that close to the smell of a fresh, unlit 555.
I got Almond Delight as a freebie. I like it a lot, but could not find it on the flavor listing. I got most of the fruit flavors at MBV. MBV offers dragon fruit, jackfruit, star fruit, papaya, guava, but no lychee?. I'm still looking for a place that offers longan, mangosteen, any of the soursop/sweetsop family like custart apple, corossolier or cherimoyas.

xladybugx got a reaction from Uma in Ready to invest in quality e-Cig, Thoughts?
The only online vendor I've pulled that off with successfully with without any complaints about anything I ordered through them was Totally Wicked (http://totallywicked-eliquid.com). That was also the vendor that got me started with vaping before I knew anything about e-cig forums, and they were extremely helpful, to the point of sending me free products when I had issues with the ones I bought and it became obvious that I just couldn't get the hang of it at the time due to being so new to vaping.
What kind of APV are you looking for? If you're looking for something small and more cig-like, you might like the eGo Spinners, which allow you to adjust the voltage.
If you don't mind a larger device, there's an entire world of APVs out there to suit any need and any budget. Rather than list them all, or list my preferences, you're really best off listing a few you're interested in here and seeing what others have to say about them that have tried them. Personally I find these are a lot cheaper to maintain after the intitial purchase than the standalone batteries like eGo, and also carry a lot more features and variety.
As for a delivery system, look for rebuildable tanks and/or cartomizer tanks if you're wanting to pack the most juice... these vary from 2.5ml to a whopping 5ml. The initial investment for the tank can get pretty high, but the reward is reaped in how cheap it is to replace their coils forever afterwards.

At some point you may want to get a second battery if you're wanting to permanently replace analogues/snus with vaping. Waiting for that one battery to charge can suck. Someone mentioned this in another thread recently and made me realize I never thought of it... make sure to back up your charger at some point as well with a second to keep on hand in case it dies. Dead batteries you can't charge suck too, LOL, and I think a LOT of us remember to have back up batteries and devices but NOT backup chargers.
I'm not really sure that I agree a mild fruit is the way to go if you're used to analogues. I tried a lot of the more subtle fruit flavors like kiwi and watermelon when I was in the quitting process, and my numbed out taste buds just couldn't taste them (pack a day smoker originally here, Camels). If you do get a subtle fruit flavor like that, I would recommend that you make sure it's mentholated or that you add menthol to give your taste buds a little kick in the butt so they can taste the fruit. Heavy flavors that are slightly bitter/spicy and menthol flavors are probably the best route to go IMHO... also the very sweet heavy flavors might make you sick, so keep it low on the sweetener. Of course, I agree that the tobacco flavors are always a good bet when you're coming off analogues.
Welcome to vaping & this forum! The health & pleasure benefits are HUGE with vaping vs. smoking. Congrats on taking your first step towards a healthier and happier lifestyle!

Welcome aboard man! And don't discount the cotton candy just yet. The longer you vape the more your taste buds change. I bought a Jamaican colada and couldn't stand it but after a week I tried it again and couldn't put it down. You will probably like the tobacco flavours at first since that's what your used to. I have been doing more fruity and dessert style flavours as of late although I like sweetmint too. So just hold onto it for a bit and if you still don't like it you can always buy a 0mg nicotine flavor and mix it in to overtake the cotton candy. And if all else fails... I'm sure there are people who would take it off your hands around here. Anyway happy vaping man!

I was recently given a ECG (Electronic Cigarette Generation) brand e-cig from a friend at work because he didn't like it. I found out why he didn't like it...it sucks...lol. I stopped by a local Vapor shop in my city called The Vapor Bar. I bought some e-juice (one of their in house blends) called, Beach Bum. I really like how it tasted when I sampled it in their shop. So, I charged the ECG and took it to work, it worked about 2 hours before the battery died and I bummed 3 analogs and had about 5 Camel Snuses while I waited for it to charge. After work I was headed to St Louis ( from Dallas Texas) and I will be in Missouri till the 15th on vacation. There was NO WAY I was using the ECG piece of crap for a week and a half. I bit the bullet and bought one of The Vapor Bar's one battery set ups for $68 with a manual battery, atomizer, charger and one 30 ml free flavor (I chose cotton candy...that was a mistake). I have been vaping with it since 5:00pm and haven't had any desire for a Snus or analog. Hope I can stick with it. I'm doing it in the car now and wife and kids don't mind it.

xladybugx got a reaction from Uma in Help with picking juice
One thing I've learned is to ALWAYS turn down the voltage on my devices before letting others have a go at it. They normally hit it like they would an analogue, and that's what chokes them the most. 4v should do the trick for most smokers.
PG is what gives throat hit, while VG produces the vapor. Often smokers will hit PG heavy fluid and feel like they're not getting enough "smoke", so they'll hit it harder trying to get the right amount of it... and choke themselves out in the process. So I highly recommend going with a higher VG ratio. I don't know why everyone claims most juices are 50/50 when the ratio isn't labeled on them, but most I have found to be more like a 70/30 or 80/20 ratio of PG to VG.
Personally I won't buy from any vendor that doesn't list their ratios, but this is partially due to me being PG sensitive. Which is another thing to watch for when letting someone hit your PV... and another reason why you should give them a higher VG ratio on the juice.
Flavor has a lot of impact on TH as well. What is commonly referred to as "crack juice" because they crack plastic tanks (sours, cinnamon, citrus, etc.) usually have the greatest TH as well.
I would suggest giving Mt. Baker Vapor's 555 50/50 ratio juice w/ 1 extra flavor shot a chance with your smoker friends. It's a sweet and nutty tobacco flavor that vapes very smoothly on just about any voltage, and I have yet to see someone that didn't like it when giving my device a toot.

I've used pb as the base and alternately mixed in butterscotch, caramel candy and yellow cake as well as my present cinnamon roll. All are good but the cinnamon roll mix is my favorite. For all I use ~80% pb.

xladybugx got a reaction from ChrisP in Store in a cool, dark place?
The "cool, dark, dry place" thing is recommended for most consumables because they can start growing bacteria otherwise if stored over long periods of time. Juices are especially susceptible to this because there may not be any preservatives in them. So yeah, totally do that (or a fridge... or a freezer) if you're going to be storing them for a long period of time (over a year). Otherwise though, it's not that big a deal if you just order what you need to use within the next month or so. Heat and light may actually help decrease steeping time, and there are steeping methods involving hot water/sun that utilize this.

xladybugx reacted to Rixter in Is *ALL* E-liquid nasty and awful at first?
I'd love to be able to help you find the right juice for your taste, but I'm afraid that no matter what you find out from others in your quest, no one can decide what you like but you. .
Everybody has their favorite vendors and juices, but for every vaper that tries and likes what one vaper recommends, there's another vaper that absolutely can't stand it. Case in point: I like Dekang's RY4, but some here have told me it's so horrible that it'll choke a buzzard off a gut-wagon. Go figure.
We all go through this...sooner or later, you'll find what works for you.
As far as steeping goes, put your juice bottle in hot water (not boiling) and occasionally take the bottle out to shake it up. Do this 'til the water cools to room temperature, and voilà...you just saved yourself a week or more of steeping. All steeping does is allow the juice ingredients to fully mix together, and hot water accelerates the process. If you're worried about the water ruining the bottle's label, put the bottle in a small zip-lock baggie first.

xladybugx got a reaction from Uma in What is popular these days for the new users?
Personally I think the atty/tank combos like what you find on cigalikes are probably the easiest refilling method I've ever used. Just fill the plain plastic cap and snap it on the atty - EASY.

xladybugx reacted to bcartervol98 in Vivi Nova vs Kanger T2
Having a bad day? I am the OP and never even mentioned the Pro-Tank in my comparison. Get a job? IN my humble opinion that kind of crosses the line between spirited discussion and just being mean spirited and disagreeable when there is really no call for it. Just my two cents, take it or leave it. I can buy anything I want within reason, but see no reason to buy one tank when I can get 3 of the ones I do like for the same price. I generally have disliked Vision products and prefer Kanger so if I ever want to go with an upgraded tank it would probably be a KPT but for now, I am happy with T2.
I havent used either, because no one has given a reason that compels me to. I love my T2s and will continue to use them going forward. I just was wondering if there was some hidden reason I have never heard of to spend the extra money for a Vivi Nova. As I said, I generally steer away from Vision products, and find Kanger to be much more consistent in performance and lack of problems.

xladybugx reacted to kitsune in Vivi Nova vs Kanger T2
One of the most amazing things about vaping is the variety, there is something for everybody. Unlike when we were all smoking.....can't believe I smoked the same thing for 30 years, and hated it most of the time, now thats an addiction !!
I prefer the 2 ml clearomizers/tanks. I am not set on any particular setup, I love variety.
The only leaking I have had with the vivi nova is from the bottom of the tank....I have found If I put it in my pocket, occasionally the metal bottom of the tank loosens/shifts and allows leaking. I have found its easy enough to reseat it...I just try not to keep it in my pocket.
The kangers do occasionally give a burned hit, some kind of wicking problem. Usually it resolves itself, if not, just means its time to replace the coil.
I often recommend the vivi novas and kangers to new vapers, very easy to use while learning the ropes.
beyond all that......for me, dripping will always be my sweet spot for absolute flavor !!

Happy birthday! And what a great gift to yourself: an extra battery. Don't forget to get an extra charger sometime soon. People sometimes think those are infallable but they can also stop working. Nothing sucks worse than to have a handful of dead batteries with no working charger.

xladybugx got a reaction from Uma in Help? Please?
Egos are great for beginners... I definitely second that recommendation! Another device I would recommend is the Totally Wicked Tornado, or the Titan Tank if you are fond of the ecigs that look just like real cigarettes.
I also highly recommend Totally Wicked as a vendor to those that are just getting started with vaping. Their customer service will pretty much go to the ends of the earth to make sure you're able to get exactly what you need and get it working. I bought my first APV from them and it came with old school drip atomizers. I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to get them working. They ended up sending me a clearomizer and adapter for it free of charge just to make sure I was able to use my device. Their tech support is top notch as well, and warranties are fulfilled in house so you don't have to wait a long time for shipping to a Chinese manufacturer.
Any of the above options can be done for significantly less than $100.
Please don't go the Blu route. IMHO Blu is a total rip off. Their juices don't have any throat hit and taste awful, and the prices are seriously jacked up.

What he's saying is that the 'GreenSmoke' is simply waaay overpriced for what it is! That's all.
Not to mention this bold statement:
Each FlavorMax™ Cartomizer is comparable to 1.5 packs of traditional cigarettes.
I'm fairly certain a carto wouldn't last me nearly as long as 1.5 packs of smokes!
We all know that's a bunch of crapola!
Mr.Elixir: I think your e-cig journey would be much easier for you if you stepped up to a better device... like an eGo.
