Pope got a reaction from Uma in E juice for a smoker trying to quit.
Chris I smoked Salem's and I really like Vapor Talk's Mentha. I go with all PG, 24 mg nicotine and find that it does the trick for me. It also tastes better around 4-4.2 volts. Good luck

Pope reacted to RazorRamona in Looking for a POWERFUL menthol?
Okay, noob here, been reading for a while but had to join and talk about this powerful menthol I just came across....Arctic Wolf from VaporGod.
I've tried them all, Cold Creek, Menthol Explosion, the Dekangs, the Halo's, all the Ice's, non compare to this mix, AND it doesn't gunk up my cartos. I'm on an 808 with 5v PT and my carts don't heat up with this stuff, even on a long hard drag.
The sensation is like throwing back a shot (or 5) of Peppermint Schnapps. It is STRONG though, so beware. You can feel it in your sinuses and it stays. There is no other flavor, no tabacco undertones and not sweet (I'd prefer it a tad sweeter but a few drops of sweet will fix that).
Other reviews say the vapor production isn't that great, but I get lots of great vapor on my simple little set up. It lasts and lasts too and doesn't start to taste funky when the cart starts to dry out (which I might add took a while, dribbled 8 drops last night and didn't refill until this morning).
So if you're looking for a powerful menthol, this is it. It's my new all day vape. Cheers

Pope reacted to kitsune in 4 Years vaping
It is so incredibly hard to believe it has been 4 years since I found ecigs and stopped smoking. I was one of the lucky ones, I got my first 510 on May 21st 2009 and had my last cigarette on May 22nd 2009.
When I found vaping, I had 100% quit quitting. I tried ecigs to get my mother off my back....that was that.
So much has changed in the last 4 years. When I started, we only had a couple choices...510 or 901....black or white. we only had traditional cartridges.
we only had a few vendors to choose from in the US, everything else was in china.
I also discovered the world of forums (I had never even read a forum).
Vapor talks and all the amazing people here are a big part of my journey.
Thank you Chris for providing such an amazing place for information, support and friendship
And a huge thanks to all the veteran Vaper Talk friends that have been such an incredible support and source of laughter

You're welcome, Pope. Glad it's working well for you. The right equipment can make all the difference.
I have five packs of analogs in my fridge, it was my safety net -- just in case. Thankfully, I've never needed it, but they do make me smile every time I open the fridge and see them still sitting there even after a year.

Pope reacted to bcartervol98 in One Month Analog Free
Today marks my first month analog free in over 27 years! This vaping thing has been an adventure. Started with NJoy disposables to a cheap yet expensive generic "mall kit" to an EGO T Starter kit 1000mah and now to Vision Spinner 1300mah. It was an adventure to find my favorite flavor (Traditional Tobacco from Sweet-Vapes) as well as my favorite tank (Kanger T2) and have found my suppliers of each.
Thing is, I am not so sure I feel like I have "quit smoking" as much as shifted to a healthier alternative but I can smell and taste things I never tasted and smelled before (like what I smelled like when I smoked), I no longer have the same anxiety and sinus issues I had before, and even with everything I tried through trial and error I have still spent less than I would have in a normal month of 2 pack a day smoking and now the cost will go down even more since the trial and error phase is over. I have my set up now, and am sticking with what I have. Not into the style aspect of "mods" and am very happy with my equipment.
My wife and I are doing this together. We were buying 3 cartons of smokes a week at around $150 making it $600 a month to smoke. I am about half that in liquids and all equipment and am set up for at least another month without needing to reorder anything. I have refined it down to about a $20 per week cost for each of us making it about $160 per month for liquid and coil replacements. So in addition to my health, smell, taste, lack of need of anxiety and sinus meds, less Dr appointments, and not having to leave my desk 30 times a day to run outside and fire up an analog I estimate around a $6500 per year savings short term and I am certain the long term health costs would be exponentially higher.
I appreciate all the advice and help I get on here, and finally feel sufficiently educated to help others that are where I was a month ago. This forum is awesome!

Pope reacted to Tam in It's been one year...
As of right now it's been one year since I got off analogs. Bought my first eGo T pass through on May 10, 2012 but still smoked while I got into vaping. Each day I smoked and wanted less until May 15th, I got off analogs completely and began vaping only. To be frank I've lit up a couple of times to satisfy my curiosity to see if I still had any desire to smoke again. After a couple drags I'd have to go brush my teeth and take a shower to get the taste out of my mouth and the smell out of my hair.
Since then it's been a wild ride while I've explored all kinds of new vapor related toys, found this forum and met some wonderful people who have been so very helpful. They've taught me so much and in turn I hope I've been able to pass some of that knowledge on to new vapers. I want to thank Christopher for creating this forum and for working tirelessly to make it even better. A special thank you to Kitsune for pushing direct dripping so much that I finally got the nerve to try it, and also to Blucavvy, Jeffb, Mark, McQuinn, VaperRon, Uma, and Rixter who patiently answered so many of my questions when I got stuck. I know I'm forgetting to name some people here but you have my wholehearted gratitude for your help and making me feel welcome.
After all the different methods tried, all the times I've tried to quit and failed miserably I'm so happy to be able to say, "This is it. I've been off cigarettes for one whole year. I hope to be able to say something like that next year...and the next...and the next...

Pope reacted to bcartervol98 in New to E-cigs and wasting money
I made the decision to quit smoking about 2 weeks ago. I went to the local convenience store and bought a couple NJoy Kings and was amazed how well they worked but it quickly became apparent that this would be an expensive way to do it. Then my wife and I both went to the local cigar shop and each bought a "Topaz" starter kit with two batteries and 6 cartridges, chargers, etc... We were "advised" this was the best available and I find that hard to believe. Battery life is fine, for now, but the cartridges leak fluid in my mouth. These are Topaz 18mg nicotine cartridges that they said I could refill by prying the end out and using the liquid I bought. This does not work and when I refill these that clearly look like they are made to be disposable it tastes like burning cotton.. My wife is going back to buy the clear cartridge that holds the liquid they sell today to see if this works better but I have a feeling I am wasting money.
What advice would you give me? I want to quit smoking and havent had a cigarette in over two weeks but have spent over $150 on stuff that works ok but leaks disgusting liquid into my mouth even when taking long slow drags and holding the device completely vertical.
Sorry if my question is redundant but havent found specific info in any of the threads on either of the two forums I have looked at all day looking for advice. I do not want to waste any more money on sub-par products.

Best deal on CE4 I have found. I believe CE4, V2, and Stardust are all synonymous.

Congrats on the 1 month tobacco free!!! I believe the blu are a kr808 and the ego is a 510 connection so I don't think they will go together without a 808-510 connector. (I've been known to be wrong before so take anything I say with a grain of salt)

This and yes Congrats! You are on a path to a healthier life style and a more enjoyable Vape! A simple Ego starter kit with a CE4 clearo might blow the kit you have out of the water(vapor) its where I started out after using a dispoable Blu Ecig and I love it and still use my CE4 Cleros and ego batteries often. They are a good investment to any vapers arsenal.
Search around the forum, youtube, reviews etc on gear you find that peak your interest. Don't be intimidated by some of the lingo, and ask questions here for any concerns/suggestions!
Happy Vaping!
