Never heard of it and can't find it on his website. Is it like the Indulgence? http://www.vaporjunction.com/store/index.php?main_page=popup_image&pID=141 Can you include a picture?

I have used SmokeStik cartos. And still do sometimes. Since you said you are kind of new at refilling the SS carto.... Not that it matters... but what battery are you using (just curious) And I've used VT Grape in them and you should be getting clouds of vapor and flavor. First, did you refill it by pulling all of the little grommets and filter out? Just like Chris's video shows in the previous post. If not, you'll have a puddle of juice at the top and it'll take a long time for it to drain into the carto. You don't have to replace them if you don't want to. (so says the SS rep) but I do because I don't want any chance of juicy in the mouth. Second, when refilling, tilt the carto and let the juice run down the sides. And when you are finished, drip about 2 drips right down the center tube. Third. you should be able to get 20-30 drops in a pretty dry carto. But 17 drops should be OK but it may take it a minute to wick down to the elect. filiment (the atty). SS are made different than most. They have a horizontal attomizer at the bottom of the wicking material. It's very efficient and long lasting but takes a little time for new juice to reach it. Try holding it in your fingers, threads out, and shake it like an old style mercury thermometer. Flick your wrists. It's best not to let it run dry. refill once in a while before running dry. I hope you didn't pull out the wicking material. Some can get away with it but it's generally Not a good idea. You can wash it while it's still in the carto. They don't last forever and sometimes they just die. Although, I have to say... I've never had one die yet... but I'm a light vaper. Feel free to ask questions. I'll do what I can to help. PM me if you like.

Based on the criteria you gave .... go with the SmokeStik. Hands down. I've got a 510 manual and a SmokeStik and a few others. Without a doubt the SS gives better vapor, flavor, battery life etc. No kidding. I know people refer to SS on the same plane as other 4081 batteries. There really is no comparison. The only similarity is that they have the same threads. SS battery is longer lasting (even longer than my 510 batteries) and it has a vacuum switch rather than a virbration switch. AND THEY ARE GUARANTEED FOR LIFE. They are not cheap but I think worth the extra money. The cartomizers NEVER burn and they are refillable and I haven't killed one yet. (although I am not a heavy vaper). I've purchased inexpensive adapters for the various batteries that I have just so I can use the SS cartomizer. PM me if you have questions. I'll be glad to help. I'm not a dealer but I can give you some direction on how to get discount.

Hi Lily, Thanks for the input.. Yeah I went to the chat thinking it was old school typing... hung out for a while without video but felt like I was not playing fair.. they couldn't see me...
-
Ya know... I saw your video chat once and thought I could really enjoy it. But I don't have a camera or mic. I have a really old laptop without a camera. Someday maybe. I know cameras are pretty cheap but If I'm gonna do it... I'd want one with autofocus and other gizmos. (not really sure what I'm talking about here..hehehe) I'm really going to have to get caught up on technology. Off topic but kinda .... I've been trying an assortment of zero nic juices to give to the girls.. (we've talked about that)... and I'm getting a buzz off of zero nic. Is this normal? Maybe it's the regulated inhaling or something but I have to stop for a while so that I can get my head clear. I really don't want to get hooked on something. Even if the PG is getting me buzzed.
-
Uma... I'm getting the best vapor and flavor from the autos. The 510 manual is what I am dripping with. Chris.. I got the 510s from WordUp and to my understanding is genuine. Lily... yeah I thought about that. That's why I blew it out. I thought... maybe I was doing something wrong or flooded it. Just tried it again... got the crackling .. no gurgling .. and still no vapor to speak of. Oh I just thought... maybe I should try a new atty. This one is only got a few miles on it... but who knows... maybe that would work.. I'll try it and get back to y'all. OK, I'm Back.... The new atty makes it better but not still not as good as the carto or cartomizer. Maybe I'm expecting too much from dripping.
-
OK, I've tried a few different styles. I have some autos and a 510. I recently picked up a variety of zero nic juices so that I could try them out and allow the ladies in our recovery home to try them without worrying about the headrush of having the wrong nic level. I decided to drip direct so I picked up a drip tip for my 510 as well as trying with a blank cart that came with the atty. I can't get any real vapor or flavor by dripping. What am I doing wrong. I get huge vapor out of the automatics with cartomizers. The 510 with a cartridge is OK vapor and flavor but really not as good as the autos. But with the drip tip?... zip... nada... zilch. No flavor, very little vapor. Can anyone tell me what I'm messing up? The batteries are charged. (I'm not that new.) edit... oh by the way... I'm dripping about 2-3 drops. I do get a bubbling sound when I draw. I've tired drawing slower, faster and in between. I've blown out the atty and started over... same result.
-
I don't know if this has been mentioned but remember that when you direct drip you can't drive. So for driving, you have to use an attomizer/cart or a cartomizer. Either way, you have your choice of flavors etc.

I found this link some time ago. http://www.ecigarette-mods.com/battery_tube_mods.html I'm sure there are more... but it sure is a great "dream page".

I have a friend like that. Don't let her touch your cell phone... it'll die within 10 minutes. Sounds like you might want to invest in an inexpensive back up. Maybe a 510 w/ seperate charger etc. Something you can vape when you have eGo issues. I was talking with a guy this weekend who was hunting for a 7-11 so he could by a piece-o-crap disposable because both of his Chucks died at the same time. If it can happen... it will.

I dilute with just a few drops of purified water and it wicks just fine.

Interesting Stats The Sat Me On My Butt!

Wow. Congratulations on still being open to change. You are awesome. I sent your comment to my sister-in-law who is needing some encouragement to take the leap. -
He just never seems to get the volume right.
-
Mastiffmom, I don't comment much but I've been around long enough to follow your progress. I am so encouraged by your story. We have a home for women in recovery and I've prayed that the one's that smoke could catch the "vision" the way you have. We provide all of our smokers with eCigs and they try it but are in various phases of commitment. All use it part time but none have completely quit analogs. Thanks for your enthusiasm and for sharing it with us.
-
I can't really speak to how everyone quits or uses analogs. I do agree that guilt will make it even tougher to quit. Guilt aggravates stress and causes an even greater desire to give in. I do believe it is important to mention... from a physical stand point... much of the benefit of eCigs is that the cillia in the throat revives and the lungs recover from the negative effects of smoking. With even a morning and evening analog, you are still anesthetizing the throat. From what I understand, there are actually additives in cigarettes designed to prevent the coughing mechanism during inhillation. I'm not a doctor but it is my understanding that while it certainly is much better to smoke 1 1/2 or 2 a day, it is preventing the full benefit of eCigs from really kicking in. It sounds to me that you are very at ease with allowing yourself the process. You will challenge yourself when you are ready. In the mean time, just be proud of yourself for the progress you have made.

She was vaping a SmokeStik PitBull. She also vapes SS Hendu. If u blow up the pic, u can see the pitbull head laser etched into the battery.

Yes, expensive. But guaranteed for life. Real vacuum switch as opposed to vibration sensor. etc. And of course, the Hendu is the kind Katherine Heigl uses http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxZjGUiaIS0 Also, if you buy their cartridges, you get a free atomizer with every 50 pack of carts. Not sure if it's more cost effective. But kind of seems like it might be. -
What Were The Main Issues That Tripped You Up?
HyOnLyph replied to HyOnLyph's topic in New Vapers Forum
That's very intersting. We had one lady who was older and smoked for a lot of years. This is her third attempt at long term recovery. She told me..."when I couldn't count on anyone, when I had driven everyone away, my cigarettes were there. How can I walk away from them?" Reminding her that her cigarettes were inanimate objects didn't help a bit. She needed the freedom to grow past her addiciton and obsession. That's what we are here for... but it was sure an eyeopener. I had heard lots of stories... but "my cigarettes are my only friend...." that was just sad. -
What Were The Main Issues That Tripped You Up?

hahaha That's really funny. The first ecig I ever purchased for our home, I asked the heaviest smoker to give it a try. Totally ignorant of what I had. The juice that was sent to me, was 36 mg. She is a really heavy smoker of Marlboro reds. I almost killed her. So then I asked my bro-in-law, thinking she must be kind of a wimp. He's a chain smoker of unfiltered nasty things... don't know the brand.... He got such a head rush he almost passed out and coughed for 5 minutes. Soooooo. I re-grouped and tried something a little lighter. -
I'd like to ask... what were the main problems with ecigs that almost made you quit vaping and go back to analogs. The ladies in our home seem to need to be coached. And I'm not sure I'm qualified except from what I read from you all. The nicotine is too high, too low, not satisfying, not the same as smoking. I'm wondering if it just requires the commitment to make it work and if you aren't committed, you'll find any excuse to go back. I don't put any pressure on our ladies to vape, but I'm obiously enthusiastic about it. Some vape full time. most part time. And a few, I suspect, will take it and never use it. What was the difference for you?

HyOnLyph replied to HyOnLyph's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
yeah, I've heard that about the Greensmoke. But I'm telling you... the SmokeStik is different. It is a very high quality battery. It is unprotected so doesn't do well for dripping if you drip so much that the juice leaks in to the bat. Yep, you'll short it out for sure eventually. But for cartos or filled cartridges, it is great. I've tried other 4081 bats and you are right, they are garbage. These are different. -
That's one of the awesome things about Jeffrey and Laurin, you send them an email... THEY CALL YOU. Who does that anymore? They do. I'm very Hy on WordUp.... and of course I'm Hy On Lyph.

No, I'm not a marketing strategy... and I don't know if their lifetime warranty is a marketing strategy. I haven't done the numbers. So I don't know if you can buy a battery for less than you'd save on cheaper cartos (that either can't be refilled or won't last as long.) I don't have that much experience. My wife and I have a home for women. Many of the ladies smoke so we have introduced them to ecigs with no pressure but offer them an alternative. We've tried about 6 differnt makes.... the highest marks go to 510, SmokeStik and the VaporTalk Classics. The ladies don't really care about cutoff as long as it's not 2 seconds or something like that. And they are not into heavy throat hit or Mods. They are just women who want an alternative with less hassle. When given the option, they prefer the auto. The VaporTalk Classic is a great ecig and works great. The switch is not too sensitive. It doesn't seem to activate at odd times. So it's dependable. And very natural feeling for the ladies. No buttons to push and no hassle. I've tried others autos and the cheaper ones do go on with vibrations. But, by our experience, the VT Classic is consistent and dependable. (I haven't tried the Revolution yet). I've tried the VT Classic myself and it gives great vapor. And If I'm not mistaken, I think it's a 302 so the new LR attys work on it. (you'll have to ask VT about that.) I'll tell you, every one of our ladies that has tried it, loves the VT Classic. And everyone LOVES their juice. I don't know how long their cartomizers last as far as multiple refills but they are easy to refill. Just pop the cap and drip down the insides of the carto.. or you can do the condom method but I haven't done that. The SmokeStik is much more expensive. It's a high quality 4081. It's Double the price of a VT Classic. But they have the lifetime warranty on the battery. Their cartos are also more expensive, and they don't sell addys anymore on their website. Their cartos are refillable. (a few more parts to remove. They have internal rubber rings and filter.) But if you are not into dripping or continuous topping off, it's not a problem. SS has a particular market that they go after. The thing the ladies like about the SS is the natural feel of it and the bling. Some of their bats have crystal "ash caps". Lot's of colors and pretty accessories. So, for us, We won't be purchasing any offbrand stuff. We will go with the VT Classic (I trust Chris and his group) and if someone has some extra money, the SS is a solid product. Really solid. And we'll look at the occassional 510 for those that get into the culture more. Everyone is differnet and has different preferences. By the way, I don't know if the other automatic battery manufacturers have switched to vacuum switches. From what I've heard...not yet. I only know that SS has for sure and that seems like an overall better technology... along with the warranty... it's pretty solid. Everyone is big on 510's. I'm very big on the VaporTalk Classic. And I've said that often. But I thought I should give a few kudos to SmokeStik too. -
Thanks... I'm thinking 3.8 volt would be fine. I'm trying to work up the courage to try this. I'm not sure it would have the same value to me if I didn't do it myself. I'd like to keep the existing 2xAA battery box if possible because it fits so perfectly on the outside. I'm going to ponder this a little. thanks again.
