I really like the idea of cheaper second hand parts but the practical side of me wouldn't risk buying used. I like saving money but I like to know what I spend it on is worth it. There would be no way to know if batts had any life left atty's could be on their last 3 days. Great idea but the market for them wouldn't last after bad reviews flowed in. I agree with the gifting. Seeing the smiling face of a soon to be ex smoker is all the store credit I need.

Never thought about it before. I think for the most part there is no worry. The amount of time in a truck on the highway would be the only concern. Inside a white box without windows inside a cardboard box sounds cool enough. From where I get juice its on the road for a day. Might worry more if it was in there for a week.

I agree that having analogs around makes not trying one very hard. I don't have cravings to go and buy any but if there is a pack sitting on the dresser I get curious more than anything. "I wonder how one of those would taste now". Alcohol consumption is the only thing that puts the pressure on anymore. Possibly because I chain vape while drinking and get no throat hit after a while. So best way for me to abstain is not having them around.

I have the apc upb10 ($21 shipped) It is 10 watts which is equal to 1600mah. not quite 2 amps but it works great with my PT. Vaped all day and some the previous night and still had juice left. It looks a little silly and attracts attention having a wire coming out of your pocket to your mouth and vapor pouring out but it was nice not to have to worry about batteries. My PT is not the VP PT. in case that matters.

Hey Cro. I believe I read in another post you have a Nova Smoke. I think it looked to be a 306 those have a very small cartridge. Some carts didn't even work for me with it, and it seemed like alot of the juice ran out into the plastic shell it's in. I suggest if you want to use carts and it is indeed a 306, go buy a 510 atomizer which will work with your 306 batteries. It would run you around $10. Using my 510 which holds considerably more juice than a 306, can get (if it works well) around 60 4 second hits. I have had alot of problems using the filler that the carts come with. I recently used a method called the ADM (auto drip mod) you can learn about it here. http://www.vaportalk...-auto-drip-mod/ Using this I have pushed the vaping to around 80 4 second hits. The 306 atomizer is very nice to direct drip with though.

ok been using this mod for a couple days and I don't think I'll go back to dripping for a while. Has worked great. At first I had some problems with not enough juice wicking into the batting. It would start off fine but have the same problem that I had with regular carts. There would be plenty of juice but it wouldn't wick to the top. Using less batting as the plug solved it. I now can get all but probably 1 drop out of the cart. Very pleased. I think this mod would work with some other materials as batting well.

The straw mod only made using cart marginally better. I was still wasting a ton of juice. Dripping is ok but i don't like constantly doing it. This seems to be working well.

PTs I found out need a min of 500 mah to work. I know this all to well as my usb car adapter doesn't put out enough which was part of the reason i bought the apc upb10. It has an output of 1600 mah which is plenty to vape on a PT. Used it all night last night without problem. The vapor production also doesn't fall off like standard batteries do. portable usb chargers have diff mah ratings. Just make sure it has at least 1000 mah (1amp) and it should work great.

Just read your post about nic poisoning. Sounds horrible. You did go on and on. any further problems?

I feel that since the switch to vaping i do take in far more "hits" of nicotine per day than with anologs. 1 i like the action of smoking. 2 i like (or rather my brain) likes the nicotine. 3 The taste of the diff flavors of liquid is delicious. 4 and the most important I feel healthier. I have come to the realization that the wall in my way of getting nicotine to my brain was the negative side of analogs. I only ever managed half a pack a day normally. With some added for the weekend bar smoking. The smell, health effects, and the general "crap feeling" stopped me from smoking more. While I still feel vaping is a great alternative, vaping should be taken seriously. Once I could get my nic without the things that made me hate my habit, slowly the more I have grown to like it. Nicotine is something i would love to live without. I think it now comes down to my ability to let it go. I know everyone has a diff experience. I love vaping, I think I would like not just as well. That said congrats to those who have switched vaping I feel has really helped people. Sry I was in a rambling mood.

I was getting tired of my 510 going through all of my batteries while out at the bars. I tend to vape constantly if I'm drinking. Also after getting a usb PT using batteries has become even more of a pain. I looked around and decided to get a usb battery pack (apc upb10 $21 shipped). its about as small as a cell phone and has 10 watts of power which turns out to be 1600 mah. I intend to use my PT with it when im on the go and leaving the little 510 batteries out of it. You just plug the PT into it and you're good to go. A bonus is that you can plug any usb device into it. So If i don't want to look silly with a wire going to my pocket, I can use it with a usb charger and charge my 510 batteries while on the go. I will update this later with actual charge times and such. from what I've read it should allow all day vaping. Just thought I'd throw it out there for anyone tired of the battery switching blues. Here Is a video review using it to vape.

Hey Summ. My goto juice for everyday vaping is RY4. It has a caramel sort of taste, a little sweet with some tobacco flavor. I just got coca cola which is very tasty. Grape is also good. I think it would be interesting to find flavors that go well with different foods. Ry4 is delicious while drinking an actual coke. grape with wine. ect... I wanna find some steak flavor juice :P

I think a little dot of diff color paint would work nicely. also if white out is the only thing handy you could go for diff number of dots for the diff flavors. Carts with a diff color rubber end plug would be pretty great but i dont see manufacturers running with the idea. Congrats on the switch!

good to hear about the switch! took a couple weeks for me to get tasting again, but when it did... who would have thought mac and cheese could get me so excited. good luck!

Maybe what needs to be done is change the way pv's and juice are marketed. The device does not require nicotine. The nicotine juice is the same as gum, or patch. If you were to ingest the juice without vaping, say by putting a drop on your tongue, There would be no problem. So market them as two different products. The pv just to be used with usp or pg, and the juice as a way to ingest nicotine. There are problems of course but just a thought.

Hello all, I just purchased a 510 with a usb pt. I have a car usb adapter that i was going to use while driving to save on battery charging. The pt works fine with my computer but using the adapter it just blinks upon pressing the button. Do I need to purchase a new adapter? It works to charge an ipod. Not getting the right voltage? Thanks

Is boiling the atty just good for troubleshooting or would you want to do it regularly? I haven't done any cleaning in a month...

Hey larry, saw that you went through carts quickly. I find that there is still juice in there but it stays at the bottom. If you look in to the 510 straw mod it may help. I was close to abandoning carts and dripping but i get easily 60/4 second draws on a cart now.

I plan on buying a new model every month... I guess I have to spend the money i've saved using ecigs somehow.
