  1. If you bought the CE4s from a shop there is no telling what is in them to be honest. So many people make copies of copies of Vision products like these. I personally think the KPT2 has a tighter draw than any other BCC clearo or tank I have used, almost too tight for me but the more I use it the more I like it. I just know almost everyone that vapes goes through the same progression. We start with CE4s and what is cheapest to see if we like it, then realize that they last about a week and are impossible to clean and change flavors in, then move on to a Top coil product with a changeable wick, but soon realize once the liquid level drops below the top of the coils you get dry hits a lot, then move on to plastic BCCs like the EVOD and the MT3S or T3S, then on to Glass like the Davides and KPTs. Hindsight being 20-20 I could have saved even more if I had done what I was advised to do, just get Spinners or a VW APV and some glass BCCs. I cannot even stand the thought of having to use a top coil anymore, but if I did, it would be the Kanger T2 also known as the Ego CC longwick clearomizer. The Veteran Vaper has them at a good price (About $5) and the coils there are about $2. I go through a lot of coils, because the BCC coils are only about $1 so when one tastes burned I clean it and put it aside in case of a supplly shortage or hard times and pop in a new one. I probably average a new coil every 4 tankfulls of liquid on most flavors. Some more, some less, but I would say that is about the average.
  2. Personally I will never again use a top wicking device. Already gave all them I have away including 2 Vivi Novas. Every top wicking device I have ever used did not function even a fraction as well as the bottom coil units. As far as tanks go, I do not think you can do any better than the KPT 2 if you like a tighter draw and the Davide Mini if you like a looser draw. Cannot recommend the full size Davide because I never owned one but those that do seem to like them a lot. Also could be your liquids. Are they all from the same supplier or have you bought a variety? I mean crappy liquids are going to taste crappy in any tank on top of any battery. Out of the dozens of flavors I have tried over the last 6 months, there are only 5-6 I truly like and only 4 at this point that I can vape every day all day. Maybe try different liquids that are different PG-VG ratios.
  3. I know you do not want a typical response, so I will abstain from guessing. I just know you have more problems in one post than I have in 6 months tobacco free in 2 days. I mean the first thing to do, in my opinion, is toss the CE4s as they are truly a "beginner see if you like vaping" clearo in my opinion. Based on your post I have no idea. I have used T3S, T2, Davide Minis, and now mostly KPT 2s and 1.8 ohm coils between 6.5-7watts ( 3.7-4v) and have never had anything taste burned from the get go. I did have a funny taste in my first KPT but since learned it was the coating they are shipped with, as a careful sanitizing and cleaning is recommended with any new tank before the first use. Also suppliers, and most B&Ms I know of, sell a lot of knockoff stuff. I recommend getting any future hardware from The Veteran Vaper, Sweet-Vapes, or Discount Vapers and you will know you are getting true brand name stuff. Not sure I was any help, but wanted to throw my response in.
  4. Exactly what Tam said. I also found with our T3S tanks that my wife still prefers and are all she will use, the bases can be finicky. I have several of these and I have seen a base not work at all, no matter what I do to it. Then I will take one of my extra bases, put the coil in, and use it and it works fine. Cleaned the one that wasnt working, put in a new coil, screw it into another tank and it will work fine lol. Thing is those things are so finicky, so mass produced, and quality control is lacking to say the least. Overall, though, I am convinced that Anyvape and Kanger produce the best tanks out there overall.
  5. I mean I am still using the Davide Minis, its not like I am tossing them. I have had a KPT2 for a while too. Just after using them both side by side and looking at advantages and disadvantages I decided to start using KPT2s for the 4 flavors I vape every day not because of the draw being airy; you just change the way you take the draw and its all good. I have never really gotten the "airy" thing. Its like drinking a milkshake or drinking a soda through a straw. Both can be awesome drinks but the way you suck them through the straw is different. Its mainly because of the ease of filling, extra capacity, and to be honest the way they look on my Vamo lol. My other flavors I vape occasionally will still go in the Mini Davides. I still think they both are quality quality products and the two best tanks out there in the 2-2.5ml capacity out of all those I have tried. I have not tried the Davide full size mainly because I had a KPT2, liked it, and just went with it.
  6. That's exactly what it was Spydre. The fourth time it did it I heard the battery shift like it fell down a tiny bit. I stretched the spring and now with more tension it seems to be all good. I guess over time the spring can compress and create this issue. Pretty sure it's fixed.
  7. I have a V3. I do not over-tighten ever and wouldn't think the center pin would have anything to do with turning the power on or off would it? It hasn't done it again, but three different times I vaped several draws, put it down in my lap, next time I pick it up the power was off. I would click the button 5 times and nothing would happen. Gave it a little jiggle and it turned back on each time.
  8. Of course I get home tonight and for no explicable reason my Vamo has turned off several times and I have to jiggle it to get it to turn back on. Not cool. May need to get a backup. Still torn between a black Tesla and, even though I think it's ugly, the SVD. Back when I looked around before those were the two I had reduced it down to.
  9. I use mainly 1.8s at 6.5w but they are very inconsistent and if they read 2.0 or above I go to 7w.
  10. I do not believe this. First it was a completely sealed box and the plastic inlay the parts went in was completely different as well. It was within a couple days of its release. Secondly I really do not believe Chuck and Dayna at Sweet-Vapes would manufacture and fabricate special boxes to sell a $2.50 collar.
  11. The first KPT 2 I got from Sweet-Vapes a couple months ago came disassembled in the box with no ego collar. The two I got in today from Brian @ Veteran not only were fully assembled in the box, they also had had the EGO collar and two rubber o-rings I assume are replacements for the drip tip. I cannot find anywhere else this size would fit. What's the deal, did Kanger change the way the KPT 2 is packaged and it's contents?
  12. ***Not a battery expert I have never read or heard of a credible story of a battery exploding while in use, always when being charged and for me 100% of those i have read about were either being charged on a laptop or in a hot car which are both no-nos in my book. I have yet to read of one that exploded when using the wall outlet adapter which I am pretty sure adds another layer of protection. Also cheap knockoff batteries seem to be more prone to these problems. I think when charging a battery there are 3 layers of protection. First the battery itself should have overcharge protection and be vented, second the USB adapter has overcharge protection, and third the wall outlet adapter adds another layer of protection. I will only buy brand name batteries from reputable sources and will only charge it in a wall outlet and I feel completely safe doing so BUT I still never leave one charging unattended and always have them in a metal container while charging. If any of the above is incorrect, someone please correct me.
  13. What resistance you using? I have started dialing my Vamo up and trying different resistances in my coils. I haven't hit 8 watts yet though. Well I did but I get burned taste from my liquids above 7-7.5 with coils reading 2.3-2.5 ohms.
  14. I could go back to Vision Spinner quite easily personally, I just love the Ohm reader and the Battery Power indicator plus I prefer VW to VV which is why I use the Vamo but I still use my Spinners a lot. The biggest thing I miss is having a lanyard for outdoor occasions so whenever I am in a "lanyard situation" I leave the Vamo at home and cant tell that big a difference in the actual quality of the vape. After looking at 18650 battery discharge times over the last month an 18650 only lasts me a little longer than the Spinner does so this 2-3 day battery life i always heard about must be a different type of battery than the 2000mah AWs I use. My standard Ego T 1000mah batteries that run between 3.5 and 3.7 volts depending on where they are in the discharge cycle also are fine when I want to have a smaller PV with me. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the APV functions and they way my Vamo looks, but I guess after having it a couple months and going back and forth depending on the situation, I find the actually functionality that matters the most, heating the coil and producing vapor, is not that much different in my eyes.
  15. Yea there can be bad batches in everything but I have semi-abused this thing. I am switching to all KPT2s and have never had an issue with using the one I have. I am not a Vamo rep lol, just curious since mine has been so rock solid dependable and for the value it seems a no brainer for me, but we are all different. Apparently there are a LOT of "fake Vamos" out there. I read that somewhere, cannot remember where but I think it was here. I wonder if the ones having problems are the fakes? I know shop owners are usually more about the bottom line than customer service and not nearly as review oriented as online sites are. In all the reviews I read on them at the 2 places I absolutely trust are selling real Vamos, the only knock I read is the black wears off the ones in black chrome.
  16. I do not Vape in the bed very often, but mainly because the way our home is set up we have a 600 square foot bedroom- couple cave in the basement and thats where we hang out and watch TV and stuff after my son goes to bed. Going to bed just means a short walk to the bed and my APV stays on the dresser. It IS however the first thing I grab in the morning along with my phone and a Diet Dr Pepper and head to my porcelain throne! (TMI I know)
  17. It took me about 2 months and I couldnt stand the thought of the taste of tobacco, but in those first couple months I searched and searched lol. I found Sweet-Vapes tobacco lineup was the closest I could find, but be careful how much you buy. I gave away 120ml of mine after I realized I needed the nicotine, not the tobacco flavor. Now my starting lineup in no particular order is: Unicorn Blood Zombified Endless Summer Dragons Tear Apple Cinanna
  18. Any particular reason you are ruling out the Vamo? You have done more research than I ever thought about. I found one that I thought looked like one I would want around $50 and bought it lol. The V3 (and beyond I assume) only run in RMS mode. My understanding is RMS distributes the power more evenly than PWM, but that may not be correct.
  19. Its just the design of the Davide Mini I guess, the bottom is completely slick. None of the other flavors I use have done this, but Dragons Tear has every time to differing extents. I finally got it opened but it wasnt easy. The ridges on the KPT base should fix this since I am switching over.
  20. Again if you are looking for durability and good easy operation I would go with the Vamo personally, but if you don't mind having a telescoping mod the SVD seems very durable and easy to use as well. Everyone that has one that I know of love theirs. I checked one out at the local shop I found that I love. I have dropped my Vamo V3 on tile floors, and once on the boat it flew off the seat when we hit a wave and slammed into the back of the boat and both the Vamo and KPT2 were unscathed.
