  1. Been using them a long time. Too bad they had to mess with perfection and change to those damn Aspire coils.
  2. Why the obsession with vaping at higher voltage? If it keeps you off analogs and gives good vapor it's doing what it is supposed to. I guess I just don't get why anyone would need anything more than a single coil unit on a std VV battery. To each their own but see a lot of these threads lately and as a Vaper that has been off analogs over a year I just don't get it. I guess I backwards lol, my Vamo collects dust while I opt for Vision Spinners, EVOD VV, and most times a standard non VV Ego. Also no dual coils for me haha.
  3. My all day vape, Endless Summer from Fuzion, would taste burned at 7-7.5w even with a new coil.
  4. I generally vape my ADV that is a fruity flavor at 1.8 ohms and 6.5w. If it tastes burned dial it down to find your sweet spot.
  5. There are only 2 flavor wicks. Start by removing one and try it.
  6. I vape Fuzion almost exclusively but they are "No PG Added" as opposed to 100% VG. I have 0 issues in tanks with unmodified coils as the mix is 65% VG base and 35% flavorings (some with PG) so it thins it out nicely. Not sure what I would do if I could no longer vape Fuzion lol.
  7. Not sure about King edition never read that. From the first time I tried a Davide mini it was my favorite tank. Great taste, tons of vapor, and never ever leaked or gurgles or floods. I have tried about a dozen different tanks and they are more reliable than anything else I have tried . Interestingly the ones I have had a long time are. 2.5 ml and the newer ones I bought cheap as they were the last few they had that were the KPT coil version are 2.0ml so that was a bit of a surprise lol. My concern about using KPT coils is how often I change them and the fact they are cheap. I probably go through 15-20 coils a month lol.
  8. Normal weight gain comes with age as our metabolism slows but my eating- drinking habits have not changed. My activity level if anything has gone up especially in my first year as a Scout Leader. Still 42lbs in just over 6 months is a lot by any standard. Not blaming vaping exactly, but for me it has been a personal effect. It's the only change lol. I attribute it mostly to tobacco speeding my metabolism where vaping doesn't. Anyway gonna keep a log here too. Starting weight (from WW scales) is 311.4. My end goal weight is 194. It's an easy system to follow, especially with the app. I dropped the stinkies I had had with me for over 30 years I can drop this weight I gained over the last few!
  9. Do they make the opposite for all the tanks that use Aspire coils to retrofit so KPT coils still work in them? Anyvape tanks switching to Aspire coils killed me. I ordered the last 6 I could find but I know eventually I will need more and prefer the single KPT coils.
  10. Other than the uncharacteristic weight gain I just posted about in Health and Safety I agree, it has changed my life. The biggest thing for me other than smell or taste is the doors it has opened for me to do things I never could have done before. I am a scout leader and I spent the night in a cave, slept int he shark tunnel at Ripleys Aquarium, and am amazed at how much time smoking took me away from my work and family.
  11. Just curious if any of you have had this that have been vaping 1 year+. Happy for anyone to offer input but especially would like it from the long term vapers. As of April 23rd I have been vaping 1 year. I go to the Dr every 6 months for a checkup, its free, so I might as well get some use out of my insurance lol. I went today and since the last checkup roughly 6 months ago I have gone from 272lbs to 313lbs. Thats a 41lb gain in 6 months and a total of 62lbs since I dropped the analogs. I have not changed anything else in my life, diet, eating habits. Only change was dropping the stinkies for my PV. This was also the first time in nearly a year my blood pressure was high (98 bottom number) but my Dr. thinks it is 100% secondary to my weight gain. I am 6'2" and always will be a big person, but this has gotten out of control. I think there was something in smoking analogs that sped my metabolism up that I no longer get from vaping. Anyway, tonight I am going to my first Weight Watcher meeting. My wife is 6' and has always weighed 135-140lbs got up to almost 200 after our son was born and held on to most of it until a few summers ago when we got back into hardcore boating. She lost 60lbs using their points system in about 8 months and has kept it off. WIsh me luck! When I do something, I do it hardcore so I will keep everyone posted on my progress.
  12. Thats cool! Due to federal, state, local, and forum regulations I am unable to show my garden :-) LOL JK
  13. I have definitely given away more juice in the last year than I have vaped. I went nuts at first, then found what I like and am set now.
  14. I have 5 vape shops within a few miles of my house and have been in one exactly once. For liquids these are my recommendations. I find most (all I have been into) brick and mortar stores to be overpriced and undereducated: GREAT boutique style liquids: Fadora Vapor Five Pawns Fuzion Vapor (All I use personally) Good suppliers of what I would consider "mid grade" liquids: ECBlends VapeDudes Sweet-Vapes (I get all my hardware here)
  15. This too. Also what Comp said is right. I mainly use PG Free liquids now and have no problems in my tanks with factory coils. There is 0 throat hit even in the 24mg level.
  16. Do not think you need any of the fancy expensive stuff you hear people using. I am over a year analog free. I started with 24mg and now use 18mg and occasionally 24. Probably will the rest of my life. I also prefer Vision Spinners and Kanger Evod VVs over any mod personally. I like the ease and complete lack of maintenance. I have a Vamo but it barely gets used. I am quite fond of the Kanger Evod 1000mah VVs I just got. The only drawback is they do not work with my lanyard but are great pocket units. The not sleeping is most likely due to your body detoxing from the other hundreds of deadly chemicals in cigarettes besides Nicotine. I take a long draw into my mouth, inhale, then exhale just like an analog except my draw is much longer lol.
  17. I love em just the way they come. So glad I stocked up with extras before they started using those damn dual coils! Still have 4 in the box and 10 in rotation!
  18. I bought 5 replacement glasses for my Davides and KPT 2s to keep on hand and I have yet to open either box even though I drop my stuff all the time. Not sure about Aspire but the tanks I use seem very resilient and as many times as I dropped them on tile floors and on the boat I would thought I would have broken at least one by now.
  19. I mainly use one flavor, have a second one I use occasionally. I keep 12 tanks in rotation. 10 are filled with my regular flavor and 2 with my occasional flavor. I generally disassemble and alcohol wash-rinse-dry-reassemble my tanks about once a month. About 30 minutes to an hour in alcohol is plenty, the cleaning agents evaporate fairly quickly and I find this is enough for me. Also keep in mind I am just cleaning and putting the same flavor back in, some flavors will require several cleaning cycles to get out if you are changing. I mainly clean mine just to keep them clean and get the residual gunk out of them. Remember if you use Isopropyl like I do to rinse, rinse, rinse. It is no bueno to inhale heated Iso. I do not dry burn, I do not clean coils. They are too cheap imo. I change my coils about every 4 or 5 tankfuls of liquid or whenever the taste starts to diminish or change.
  20. "It's easy to grin when your ship comes in and you've got the stock market beat. But the man worthwhile is the man who can smile when his shorts are too tight in the seat".
  21. I figured it was mechanical, seems all I see anymore are noobs buying advanced mechanicals and then rebuilding without the proper equipment or knowledge. If it is an APV then you would want unprotected.
  22. The primary difference between the Protected and Unprotected batteries is that the protected batteries have a small circuit board, typically on the bottom of the battery, that stops the charging or discharge of the battery in certain circumstances. Some of the circumstances in which the circuit include: Over-Charge, Over-Discharge, Short-Circuit, and in some cases, overheating. Most of them are Red. Here is what I use: http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop?page=shop.product_details&flypage=vmj_color_plus.tpl&product_id=371&category_id=23
  23. I only use AW IMR 18650s in 2000mah with button top in my Vamo. Just my preference.
  24. I know nothing about your Mod but with the battery, it is fine to vape it at a half charge as it is fine to recharge it any time during the discharge cycle. Lithium Ion Batteries do not develop a memory so you can recharge it anytime you want. Before I had so many in rotation, and I mainly use Vision Spinners and EVod VV over my APV, I used to top off my batteries each night. The only real rules you want to follow are 1. Always make sure you are using protected batteries (I prefer AW IMR 2000mah for my 18650s) and keep them out of the heat as much as possible 2. Always let them rest after a charge cycle before using them or you can diminish their life expectancy. I always heard to let them rest at least an hour after charging before using them. It is fine however to go from your PV straight to the charger. Most APVs and Ego Style batteries have cutoff protection to keep you from discharging the battery lower than around 3.2v and keep you from discharging it to a level that will damage it. Hope this helps. I am just not a Mod guy so sorry I cannot be of help on your first question.
  25. Tried to find their website but only saw a bunch of eBay postings from someone with the user name "chicsdiglongballs" lol.
