Weight Gain & Subsequent Weight Loss
bcartervol98 replied to bcartervol98's topic in Vaping Health & Safety
Week 11 not so great too much whiskey and eating out. + 2lbs 11 week loss sits at 29.5 lbs Time to re-focus! -
The little while I used a VW device I always had it on 8w so its pretty close. Now that I pretty much exclusively use Spinner 2s I lock it into 3.8v and roll lol. Honestly the only difference I ever saw between Spinners and APVs is the ability to see battery life and the 3 light system on the Spinner 2 took care of that. Once they came out I sold my APV, charger and all my 18650s to a forum member at a steal.

Resistance and Nic and vapor production
bcartervol98 replied to bcartervol98's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Makes sense, but seemed like a good discussion to have. I felt like higher resistance at same voltage would yield less nicotine because of the rate at which the liquid is vaporized. I just need to hold my draws longer so I do not fog up my office, search for a liquid with a higher PG % that doesn't taste like *** lol or just say eff it and cloud it up lol. -
VV means Variable Voltage where you can adjust the voltage output to your desired level. Personally I mainly use Vision Spinners and have a pretty good collection of colors and sizes lol. There are many good ones out there. Without the VV feature on a standard ego style battery you are going to be about 3.5v-3.7v all the time. Personally I have found around 3.8-4.0v with a 1.8ohm coil to be my sweet spot.

About time to revive this thread! I was able to catch the last hour or so of our first Fall Practice last night and it is amazing the transformation the team is making. Tennessee is not a "contender" by any means, too young, but we will surprise some folks. QB play in the first practice (granted not in pads) was light years ahead of this time last year. This time last year we had 0 players that could squat 600lbs and this year we have 9. Derek Dooley did a number on our beloved program but it is about to turn around not that the right guy is at the helm. The hunger, attitudes, fitness levels, and understanding of the play schemes in the Jones-Bajakian Offense are where they need to be. Could get interesting.... I am gonna say 7-5 regular season (winning one of Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina) and a bowl, next year and the year after will be our years to make a run at the SEC and return to what Tennessee football is supposed to be! GO VOLS!! -
Resistance and Nic and vapor production
bcartervol98 replied to bcartervol98's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I am only at 3.8 lol thats about as high as I go. Even at 3.3 the lowest setting there is not a noticeable drop in vapor production only a HUGE drop in flavor and satisfaction haha. Maybe I should phrase my question like this If I use a 1.8 ohm coil in one tank and a 2.5 ohm in another and vape at the same 3.8v will I get the same amount of nicotine from both? -
Resistance and Nic and vapor production
bcartervol98 replied to bcartervol98's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Well to say mine is 100% VG is not accurate. All I vape is Fuzion 18mg and they use a 100% VG Nic base with no added PG but with flavorings it comes out to be about 65% VG base and 35% flavorings that contain some PG. My wife hates it too, my flavor that is. The smell, the taste. Last weekend we were on the lake and she uses 70pg 24mg Peppermint and realized about midnight she had left her case in the car and had to use mine that night and acted like she was vaping excrement or something lol. -
Any VV battery with the right connection will work about the same. 3.8v or 4.2v is the same no matter if it is a 650mah Spinner 1 or a 1600mah Spinner 2 or Evod etc..... Its not about heat, the ratings on batteries are more about how long they last not how hot they get.

Resistance and Nic and vapor production
bcartervol98 replied to bcartervol98's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Humidity seems to affect how long it hangs around but not the amount produced in my experience but it does get pretty humid here. You should see it when I am on the lake they tell me I look like a steam engine lol but its because of the humidity and how long the vapor sticks around. The initial exhale is not that much different but sometimes it lasts forever. I guess that's why I don't get "cloud chasing" because I am getting too much from a standard setup. I know its a personal preference. -
The reason for this question is the liquid I use is primarily VG and even with my standard Davides and KPT 2s produces a LOT of vapor. Thing is I love the taste so much there is no way I am changing anything lol. I could care less about the vapor production or throat hit, I am simply concerned with nicotine intake. So here is the question. I currently use 1.8 ohm coils exclusively because of the flavor but am finding myself in places where I want to have less vapor production. Would upping to a 2.2 or 2.5 ohm coil produce very much less vapor and the main question is would the nicotine intake be the same? May be a dumb question but still want to know the answer. Just when you think you know everything lol. The thing is I am sitting in my office with a Mini Davide atop a Spinner 2 and when I exhale my computer screen disappears and want to maintain the same nic intake while lowering the amount of visible vapor if that makes sense.

Have I've been missing something?
bcartervol98 replied to mikethevaper's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Downside to the aero base is there is no opening at the bottom so anytime condensation gets down the shaft it's harder to clear. With the standard base a simple "blowing it out" works where with the aero base you have to remove the coil and swab underneath it. I love the way it draws but it is a little more maintenance which is a big down side to me. I went back to the standard bases last week until I have time to properly clean my aero bases. -

I hear a lot of places push the Iclear because there is more of a disparity between wholesale and retail netting more markup. Not sure if true but have heard it a lot in the vaping vendor community. I tried one and didn't care for it pretty much for the same reasons Bebop stated. -
Its such a relief too. No more shopping, trying a bunch of stuff to like a small % of it.....its so simple. All the guesswork is gone and I am a year and a half smoke free. Thats what it is about to me, not blowing clouds or rebuilding this and that or having a color coding system for flavors in tanks. Other than an occasional new battery to add to the collection I am all set for a long time. I ordered liquid and coils about 2 weeks ago and it was May the last time I ordered. 250ml of liquid and 50 coils and I am set for a couple months at about $80 a month. I never smoked different brands of analogs, I found what I liked and stuck with it. Same for me with vaping. I think a lot of people make it so complicated when it doesn't have to be and as a side note (this may get me flamed) but I think all the rebuilding by inexperienced noobs that know nothing about ohm meters and ohms law are the single biggest threat to our freedom to vape. There are way too many posts to the effect of "I know nothing but I just got thie xxxxxxx clone and xxxxxxxxx and xxxxxxxxx RBA/RDA now how do I use it". Only a matter of time till these devices get pushed till they start going BOOM>

I will be nice and just say "LOL". -
Easily 90-95% of all the vaping ripoffs I have seen originated with eBay. Personally I would never buy vape gear there. Pay $2-3 more and know you are dealing with a great vendor like the VaporTalk Store or Sweet- Vapes imo.

Protank 2 vs Aspire vs Kayfun
bcartervol98 replied to christov11's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Everything I use takes Kanger coils. I am not a fan of any dual coils (more expensive, same performance imo) so I bought all the old style Davides that Discount Vapers had in stock before they changed (Have 16 now lol). Now a Davide is just a better version of the ProTank in my eyes and uses the same coils. Thing is when Anyvape started making the Davide Mini it was 2.5ml (same as KPT 2) and the flavor was unbelievable. Then when they went to a different design to get ready for the change to Aspire coils the capacity dropped to 2.0ml (some sites say 1.6 but I measured mine at 2.0ml). In my year and a half of vaping the mini Davide in its original form (2.5ml, single Kanger coil) is twice as good as anything else I have tried and would love to run across a "cloud chaser" that has given up on the tanks with a small stockpile I can buy. -
Protank 2 vs Aspire vs Kayfun
bcartervol98 replied to christov11's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Personally I think the Davide and Davide Mini blow the Aspire Nautilus and KPT away in terms of flavor. I do use KPT2s with and without Airflow bases at times, mainly in higher risk situations since they no longer make the Davide Mini like I want I tend to be a little more careful with them. My KPT 2s are for the boat, fishing, beach, amusement parks, camping etc... but my daily tank is the old style 2.5ml Anyvape Davide minis. I bought all mine before they started the dual coil production so everything I have uses the same coil. I have less than 0 interest in anything I have to rebuild lol. My life is busy enough, I even bought enough tanks I only have to fill once a week for my wife and I together. I would literally pay the original price for some more of the old style Anyvape Davide Minis even if they were used a lot lol. -
Yea either buy online or buy at a B&M. Very ****ty to waste their time then order online. I am 100% online because I save where I can and know 100% what I like. Nothing worse than spending hours with someone and educate them to have them take that information and go elsewhere. It happens in my business every day. All the online vendors I use also have storefronts so I guess to say I do not buy from B&Ms is somewhat inaccurate it might be better to say I won't pay B&M prices when what I use is so readily available online at half the cost.

I leave some liquid on my boat and when we are not on it we do not run the air so I keep my liquid there in the fridge but not the freezer. I have seen it debated and a cool dry place is best, fridge not bad, and freezer not advised has been the seeming consensus of opinions I have read. With that said I do not think it will hurt the liquid to be in freezing temps. Like batteries, heat is the main enemy.

Good luck to you. All I use are Vision Spinners for over a year and a half. I have had other things but Mods do nothing for me except weigh down my pocket lol. You do have the backup thing down pat though, always have backups and backups for your backups. Between my wife and I we now have close to or maybe over 20 Vision Spinners with the 8 Spinner 2s we added lol.

I have yet to buy anything at a Brick and Mortar store. I just do not feel like the value is there for me personally. I generally pay ~50% of what the stores in my area charge by ordering and in nearly a year and a half I have had 0 issues. Just research the site you are going to buy from and remember the store right here.

I pay $27 for Vision Spinner 2s at the Vapor Talk store with free shipping. Not sure what an Elego is to be honest, but the VT store has matched or beaten any price I have gotten elsewhere in the US at least.
