I have to agree.. Lots of fun. Now I find myself ordering tons of different flavors to mix and try.

I figured I'd try my hand at DIY eLiquid and it actually turned out great! Tastes better than the premade stuff I had been buying and its waaay cheaper. I purchased the large 1 liter bottle of 100mg nicotine liquid, 500ml bottle of PG, 500ml bottle of VG, and a 10ml bottle of Virginia Tobacco flavoring from MyFreedomSmokes.com for around $145, which is a big investment but I'm thinking its going to last a loooong time. I was paying $19 per 30ml bottle (12mg nic) of the premixed stuff.. With the DIY liquid I bet I'm spending less than $1.75 per 30ml bottle. Love it! I also bought some sweet flavors like caramel and TFA butterscotch, but they taste like they could use a little additional sweetening. Are there any sweeteners that I can buy locally, and if so where?

I ordered one last week.. Should be here by Thursday so I'll post my thoughts.

I'm starting to think my original Protank was faulty. The threading on the base broke off in my Provari so maybe it was cracked all along and that was causing the flooding.. Anyway, rather than ordering a new base, I just ordered a KPT2 and have been using it for almost a week now with no flooding issues whatsoever.
-
Thanks for the replies. I have tried replacing the heads, and maybe that could be whats causing it. One of the heads I tried vaped fine.. The other two flooded. I'll check to make sure the wicks are properly placed. In the mean time, I think I'm going to order a Protank II as well. I like the idea of the removable tips.

I believe my Vivi Nova is original but can't be sure. It says "Vivi Novo" on the side of it but I guess it could still be a knock off. I can't think of anything I'm doing that would cause the KPT to flood. I don't over fill it, always make sure the head is seated snugly, etc.. It will be vaping great for a while, and then a little later its gurgling and flooded. I may try the Davide and see if its any better. Thanks for the replies.

So I've had the Protank/Provari combo for a while now and have noticed that the bottom coil Protank tends to flood regularly (as in every single day). Right now I have a Vivi Nova on it but with the short wicks I get a lot of dry/burnt hits. My Nova tank is a couple of years old (not sure what version).. Are all the replacement heads the same? If so, I could just order some long wicked heads and use it. I really like the idea of a bottom coil tank, but just can't stand the constant flooding. Is there any other bottom coil alternatives that don't have the flooding issues? Is the Protank 2 any better or does it have the same issue? Suggestions? Thanks!

Question for ProVari owners...
Rattlehead replied to Rattlehead's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I'm rotating between 3 18490s right now but I plan to order the 18650s soon. -
This isn't really a review of the ProVari (there's already tons of those online), but just my thoughts after upgrading from an eGo C-Twist. Figured it might be helpful for others who may be considering it. I've only had it for a few days but so far I absolutely love it! This thing is built like a tank and damn near as heavy as one. :p It feels like a very high quality unit. I read a lot of reviews (mostly good) before buying it, but I noticed several people saying that they didn't care for the single button control for the settings/display. I'm guessing these complaints are coming from folks who have never tried one, as I find the operation to be very easy and I actually like the fact that it only has one button. Very simple to use. With the eGo twist, I found it difficult to see the tiny markings for voltage settings. I was constantly straining my eyes to read it. No such problem with the ProVari's big display. What I'm really liking is the consistency of the vape. With the eGo twist it seemed to be hit or miss, but with the ProVari its a good vape every single time. The kit I ordered came with a Kanger ProTank, which I also really like. Holds more liquid than the old CE4s I was using on the eGos, no flooding problems so far, and produces lots of vapor. Overall I couldn't be happier. Well worth the money.

I've never used a Vamo but I went from a twist to the Provari and the difference is like night and day. With the big mod you get a good vape every time. With the ego it's hit or miss.

I'm noticing all the advantages. It's great! I'll post my impressions in a few days.

Thanks for the comments. Provari showed up today and I'm loving it!

Question for ProVari owners...
Rattlehead replied to Rattlehead's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Thanks for the replies. In that case, I'll have to order a few 18650s and the little extension cap. Tracking says it should arrive tomorrow.. I'll be waiting by the mailbox! -
I just ordered this ProVari kit a couple of days ago and had a couple of questions while I'm waiting on it to arrive (the wait is killing me!).. Apparently it comes with two 18490 batteries, but you can also get an extension cap and use 18650s. My questions are: 1) Can you charge the 18650s in the same charger for the 18490s or will I need a different charger? 2) How much longer do the 18650s last? Are they worth getting? 3) The kit I ordered comes with a Kanger Protank. Are those pretty good? Also, how do you guys like your ProVari? It seems to get a lot of good reviews but I also see a lot of other folks saying that its over hyped.

I hope so!

Thanks for all the help and comments in this thread.. After watching a ton of youtube vids and reading a bunch of reviews, I ended up ordering a Provari. I almost got the VAMO which a lot of people seem to like, but I really like the idea that the ProVari is made here in the USA and it seems to get a lot of great reviews too. Can't wait to get it!

Yep.. Well its a key painted up with the Bulldogs emblem. Love my Dawgs!

Just an eGo c-twist for now, but soon to be replaced by a Provari or VAMO. The pistola is a Gen 4 Glock 26. I also have several others including a G19, Colt 1911, S&W 500 Mag, NAA Black Widow, Ruger 22/45 LITE, Colt 6920, etc.... But that's another topic.

Thanks!

I found this kit that is the v3. Seems to come with more tubes for using different battery configurations. Other than that, is it pretty much the same? http://gotsmok.com/vamo-v3-starter-kit-45-97/
-
Thank you. I believe I will order this kit: http://vaportalk.com/marketplace/vamo-v2-2013-kit-black-chrome.html Do you recommend a different clearo or tank for this rather than the included CE4? Also, I see that this kit is the VAMO V2 and the other was the V3.. Does that matter? Thanks so much for all your help.

Looks like they are sold out. Any other places sell them at a good price?
