  1. Lived up to the hype: 1) Vaping! Much better than smoking! 2) The Provari (2.5).. Very solid, well built. 3) Kanger Subtank Mini.. Old news now but remains to be one of the best sub ohm tanks IMO. 4) SX Mini M class. Only had it for a few days now but so far I'm very impressed with it. 5) Kanger Subox Mini kit.. Looks nice, durable, affordable, easy to use and works flawlessly. 6) DIY eJuice! Been mixing my own for a while now and it's saved me a lot of money. Not lived up to the hype: 1) Hehe.. funny you mentioned it, but I'd have to say the TFV4 mini. Got mine Friday and today it sits in my junk drawer due to constant leaking. 2) Atmomixani Nemesis. Nothing at all wrong with it, but at the end of the day it's just a fancy steel tube. Not sure what possessed me to pay $200 for one.
  2. Thanks for the tip. I may pull it back out of the drawer and give it another shot later but for now I'm just frustrated with it.
  3. After a day of using my TFV4 mini, I am not impressed. Juice leaks out of the air holes every time I fill it. Most of the OEM coils seem to need fairly high wattage to perform, which means a quick battery drain. That combined with the 3.5ml capacity means filling the tank more often too. The positives are: great air flow and good vapor production, but I just can't stand the leaking. I'm sure there's some filling method I could be using which may help with the leaking issue but I hate finicky stuff. I wish I had tried a Uwell Crown instead. For now I'm going back to my old reliable Subtank Mini. It's smaller (shorter), holds more juice and doesn't leak.
  4. I've been out of the loop for a while and wanted to treat myself to some new vape gear. After watching a ton of reviews I have an SX Mini M class on the way to me. Got it for a pretty good price too ($134 shipped). I guess these are coming down a little now that Yihi has the newer ML class. Decided to get a new tank too. Picking up a TFV4 mini tomorrow.
  5. Mine arrived Saturday. So far I love it! Its a beautiful mod at a very reasonable price, especially considering that it comes with the newest subtank.. Within the first day of ownership I accidentally knocked it off of my night stand and put a huge scratch down one side. Luckily, its easy enough to touch up the black version with a sharpie. The finish seems decent enough, but without some kind of silicone cover or a wrap, I think some scratches can be expected with regular use. As for performance, it works great! The display looks amazing, like it has some depth to it. The new OCC vertical coils are awesome. With the old design I was vaping @ 25 watts with the .5 ohm coils. The new design needs a little more power for best performance. Right now I'm running the new .5 ohm coil at 35 watts and its a great vape. Produces more vapor than the old design, and flavor is about the same. Also, the new tank has dual air flow holes, but honestly I can't tell any difference. I think air flow is limited by the inlet on the coil's connector. I haven't tried the rebuildable base yet. Buttons are plastic, but they don't feel hollow or cheap. The magnetic battery door makes swapping batteries a snap and the rounded design makes it feel very good in the hand. If I could change a few things to improve the mod, this is what it would be: 1) Switch to a spring loaded 510 connector. I haven't had any trouble with any of my tanks making contact, but I would just feel better if it were spring loaded. 2) Put a little "lip" at the bottom of the body where the battery cover sits to keep it from moving easily. It works fine as is, but I'd prefer if the cover didn't have any movement unless its being removed. 3) Have it hold voltage in memory after releasing the fire button. This isn't a big deal, but it would be nice to be able to see the voltage without holding the button. Overall the Subox gets a thumbs up from me. I think its one of the best values for a nice looking do-it-all starter kit that I've seen to date. It comes with everything you need except for a battery and juice.. Can be set up for lung inhales, or mouth to lung depending on the coil. Great for beginners and experienced users alike.
  6. Me too.. Both of them look great IMHO. Mine should arrive today!
  7. Anyone here tried one of these? Seems like a nice kit at a good price. I don't really need another mini box mod as my Sigelei 30w works just fine, but thats never stopped me from buying more vape stuff before so no reason to stop now. lol I just ordered a black one. From the reviews I've seen everything looks pretty nice! Only downside that I can see is that the 510 connection isn't spring loaded. I'm not really worried about it though as I'll probably only use the new subtank on it.
  8. Another vote for the Kanger Subtank (mini). Great performance, extremely versatile, good quality and reasonable price!
  9. Got a reply from Sigelei's USA warranty dept. At first he said he didn't have any of the black ones, but then I got another email a little later saying that he found one! I sent him 5 bucks to cover shipping and its on the way to me. The fact that he took the time to go look for something as simple as a sleeve and is willing to send it to me says a lot about them. Top notch customer service IMHO.
  10. Thanks for the replies guys, but still no luck. Sweet-vapes has skins for the other Sigelei mods, but not the 30w mini. The cloupor is a little smaller than the Sigelei mini. I emailed Sigelei to see if they sell them separately.
  11. Anybody know where to buy them? I'm not talking about the stick on skins, but the gel covers like the one that came with it. I tried searching google but no luck. Just picked up the 30w today and they now come with clear covers which I'm not a fan of. My Sigelei is red, and with the clear cover on it looks pink! Thanks!
  12. Nice! I've converted a few at my workplace. Three years ago I was the only one vaping.. Now there's 7 of us.
  13. Exactly. You no longer need the higher mg of nic because you're taking in so much more vapor.
  14. Let us know how it goes. Just noticed I forgot to put a "." In front of the 5 in my post above. lol .5 ohms
  15. 10 mg nic might be a bit much at 5 ohms. It was for me anyway. I found that the sweet spot for me with a 5 ohm coil was 5mg of nicotine @ 25w. As for the spatter, maybe try a slightly thicker juice (more VG) and/or different drip tip?
  16. Everywhere I go, I carry a Sigelei 150, subtank, Nemesis, CLT RDA, two spare 18650s, one spare 18490, two bottles of my all day vape juice, two smaller bottles of dessert/fruit flavored juice, extra cotton, coils and heads. I know it probably seems like a lot of junk to carry around but I wanted to make sure I had a backup for everything so that I never get caught without a working mod, and I never have the temptation to go back to tobacco cigarettes.
  17. Mechs will always have a place with me, as will VV/VW devices. I just use them for different roles. My Sigelei 150/Subtank combo is perfect for all day no-hassle vaping. I use my Nemesis & CLT V2 for desert type flavors after a meal or whenever I want to try something different. I also use the mech whenever I don't feel like carrying around a huge box mod. Its actually the low powered VV/VW devices which won't fire sub ohm coils and the tanks with restrictive air flow that I find are no longer useful to me. The Provari/Kayfun combo above is a good example. Just sold them recently.
  18. The only trouble I'm having with the Davide so far is a little flooding.
  19. Any other Provari owners experiencing major air flow issues with the KPT 2? For me it was impossible to get any flow with the Protank 2 screwed all the way on. If I loosened it a little it was better but who wants to keep tweaking the tightness just to get proper air flow? Pain in the ***. I did figure out that if you file off about 1/32 from the base of the head it would work with the tank fully seated but that's also a pain. So I ordered a Davide from Anyvape and it's been working like a champ. Just thought I'd pass this along for other Provari owners who have been dealing with the same Protank 2 issues.
  20. Thanks Tam. That's all the info I needed. I'll order a shield and extension soon.
  21. Quick question(s).. Can someone please edumacate me on drip shields? I saw PBusardo talking about a drip shield and extender in his review of the HH.357.. What is the purpose of both, and exactly which one do I need? I think he mentioned empire mods.. I went there but am still unsure of which shield/extender I should buy, or if I need one at all. I did notice that since using the 357 I have some eJuice in the drip well of my Provari, and I'm assuming the shield will prevent this.. Is that its sole purpose? Thanks!
  22. I received my HH.357 yesterday and have been using it ever since. Vapor production is outstanding, and the flavor of my eJuice really comes through much better than with my KPT2. I ordered the short barrel so the vape is really warm, which I like. This atty is thirsty! It holds 9 or 10 drops with no flooding issues to speak of. So far I really like it!
  23. Will do. Thanks for the advice. My main use for this one will be for trying out new flavors. I figure dripping with an atty would be the way to go now that I'm tinkering with DIY juice. I've seen tons of good reviews for the HH.357 too, and I don't mind paying a little more for good hardware so I figured it was the way to go.
