  1. Awesome! I love me my nautilus. Hate to see people having trouble with it.
  2. The new Joyetec has three vertical coils. Supposed to be out.
  3. Looks awesome. Not a full review yet so details are lacking but looks very promising.
  4. Montana representing lately. What happened out there?
  5. Ahhh....tools......I know I left some around here somewhere......
  6. Duzz that mean I need dainty fingers and eagle eyes?
  7. All good stuff.... Remember, I'm not sub ohming. So when I wrap the cotton the wire is getting buried in the cotton a little bit. I'm basically free handing it. I might try pre forming the coil and pulling cotton through.
  8. So after vaping my cotton coil for a little while i noticed the coil doesn't appear to be firing evenly. It appears to be hot toward one side. Think I'll rebuild one afyer I get some organic cotton
  9. Cool, guys. I'll go organic. I also think I may be building them too tight. But not sure. I am basically twisting the coil around a compressed tuft about 3mm in dia and then assembling and trimming but I am coiling them a little tight. What is the symptom of coiling too tight?
  10. I rebuilt a few coils this morning most of them with silica wicks. All good results and performing nicely. I build them in the 1.6 - 1.8 range using my ohmmeter of course... Started feeling a little adventurous. A few days ago I grabbed some standard garden variety cotton, boiled the heck out of it a couple times, drained and air dried it. I decided to build a couple coils up with cotton for the first time. I don't know, maybe it's the cotton. There's definitely a difference. But I can taste something I don't like. It's not awful. In fact there is a cleaner kind of taste to it. Definitely different than silica. But I don't know, there something about it not quite right. Do I try a different cotton? Just realized maybe I should have posted this in technical. Ok to move.
  11. My wife and I started much like you guys. I couldn't stand the idea of any flavor but tobacco at first. I quit smoking using tobacco flavors only right away for the first couple of months. Then I graduated to coffee flavors (still my favorite 15months later). I found that with coffee flavors and nutty flavors they satisfied me without being too "candy" like and more like a real smoke. While I find now I do like some natural fruit flavors, I generally avoid candy like stuff. I've found some bakery flavors to be pretty good without being too sweet. I also like the vanilla custards and caramel flavors too. You might find similar satisfaction when venturing in to flavors. Good luck. We are now 15 months totally smoke free and loving it.
  12. Congratulations, you're on your way. Dial it in and you'll be smoke free in no time and you won't regret it one bit. Welcome.
  13. I know you meant "crap" in the nicest way possible, sarge. Welcome to vapor talk.
  14. The Spinner 2 uses a standard ego charger
  15. I'm sold on the Nautilus. I don't like carrying it around but at home its great. The dual coils are pricey but they last easily twice as long as a single PT coil and the flavor and vapor production is noticeably improved over a PT mini or mini Davide.
  16. The Spinner uses a standard 500mA USB to 420mA output Ego charger. Nothing special there but I'd stick with a Joye brand if you can get it.
  17. I've been stepping down in about 3mg increments every couple of months since I started. For me, I became dissatisfied quickly if I stepped down steeper than that. 6mg or 12mg jumps were too much and I didn't like it. The symptoms of too steep a change are irritability, dissatisfaction, annoyance and frustration. I always kept a higher mg juice on hand for when I wanted it. I found positives; improvement of flavor and finding the sweet spot of vapor production - 50/50 or 40/60 pg/vg. These lead to satisfaction. I know many don't want to drop their nicotine and that's totally cool, but for those that do, dropping in small amounts worked best for me.
  18. When u say "got your hands on" is it used?
  19. Lmao And you better believe it they'll be taxing it big time. Shortly, I imagine. Shame, really. It'll be taking away an important incentive to quitting cigs.
  20. Im going to put mine on hyper charge next time (leave it on the charger overnight) lol. See if that works.
  21. Time for some zen.... Use 2 post it notes, 1 on each part to give you better grip. Press the 2 parts TOGETHER (yeah, opposite of what you would think) as you twist.
  22. Heat up only the tank side at the base. Just warm it up a little and see if that helps
  23. Frankly, I dont think even a vision charger will solve this issue. I mean they state it should be a standard ego charger and I dont think it gets more standard than joye
