  1. There is also a principle with micro coils where the wraps actually touch each other. This essentially lowers the resistance even more with a lot of surface area as the electricity can flow across the coil, not just through the wire. This is what the sub ohm guys are doing when they compress the wraps of the coil to touching each other.
  2. Yes you could. The smaller diameter of the coil would give you more wraps to achieve same resistance. Probably only a wrap or two, depends. Imagine that your total length of wire is 2 inches. Well you could take that wire and make 3 big wraps or 10 tiny wraps as an example.
  3. Swamping the coil can defeat it. It needs airflow to produce wicking action and vapor. Given the same amount of wraps (and diameter size) thicker wire has less resistance.
  4. It's all about surface area or coil surface in contact with the wick. The primary surface area is the inside of the coil in contact with the wicking material. The secondary surface area is the outside of the coil which also collects juice but burns off quickly. In a micro coil (many small diameter wraps) you have essentially a barrel surface area heating up the wick. As you increase the diameter of the coil you also increase the amount of wick and therefore less juice in direct contact. Somewhere in there is a happy medium- just the right surface area paired with just the right amount of wick. Of course, the thicker the wire, the lower the resistance which allows more wraps. Again, a balance of resistance to surface area. In theory, the lower resistance couple with the most surface area and greatest power gives the most vapor, however all those factors must be balanced so as to avoid dry hits, swamped coil, burned hits, wicking action inconsistency etc....
  5. It's so quiet around here. Y'all must be on vacation or something. One of my favorite things to do is stay home and chill while the rest of you are out fightin' the crowds....haha. for me, i fire up the grill and put on the Giants game and crack open an Anchor Steam. And stoke up the vape, of course..... Have a great holiday all!
  6. Hopefully the shop will help you out. If it is truly a flavor problem then it could quite possibly be your build and air flow that is a major issue. Good luck
  7. Does simple mean pre-filled or would he be willing to fill the carto?
  8. Some smoke detectors operate off a photocell, not just chemical. Those are the ones vaping will trigger. As far as I know, chemically, vaping won't trigger a smoke alarm. And I've never set one off. But I know in California, a nanny state for sure, there have been sweeping changes in smoke alarm manufactire and laws. It's insane now. Super detectors have arrived and I'm sure they will become a bigger problem for vapers in the future.....
  9. If you are looking for pre-filled cartos you have to be sure they are compatible. I dont know about the Marlboro so find out what fitting it is. ( B&M could help here) Otherwise you might have to go with something like the joyetech eroll - a refillable cig-a-like type product. Or just get him on a basic ego/evod set up
  10. I'm not familiar with the plume veil so one of the other guys might give more specifics but you have a simple mechanical so you want to look at a few things. You can start by posting a close up picture of your coil & wick set up. Also a pick of your battery label. The following factors affect performance: Voltage output of your battery (measure it with a meter) The coil and wick configuration (measure the resistance of your coil) Air flow - the amount of air as well as the position of the air flow relative to the coil Juice type and quality Any mechanical factors - switch contacts, springs or magnets etc
  11. Man. So tough to find. I think it's legit. I found one other guy with a copper 26650 adversary sn#21. He's obviously a collector cause he has a lot of other high end mods. Has the same logo. But wow other than that, nothing. No eBay. Nothing. The guy calls it out in a photo as "Adversary copper 26650 mod by Vapor Ice". But I checked out Vapor Ice and they don't have a thing on their site. You might want to contact Vapor Ice and see if they can tell you anything.....
  12. Is it really blue? Or is that just my phone....?
  13. The plume veil RBA you have retails for $109. I did find that...
  14. What size battery does it take do you know?
  15. Interesting.... the "Adversary" shows up as a Nemesis clone......but that's not what I see in this picture.....
  16. Yeah. I use one of those jumbo paper clips. 5/4 wraps give me 1.5 and 6/5 gives me 1.8 and they fit nicely and give me better airflow than the stock coils. Edit : that's with 30g
  17. 8 wraps - you must be wrapping them small too. What are you using to wrap them? You can always increase the diameter and do fewer wraps to get them to fit too."..
  18. That's awesome! Put some pontoons on that thing and you could sell one to bcartervol98, lol
  19. Dude, you've got mail..... I don't understand why you post questions, get a lot of responses with people trying to help you but you never respond to them or acknowledge that help?
  20. If I was totally being honest (it's happened once or twice) if I was a teen or young adult I think I may have tried it. But as an adult probably not, too much trouble, lol I would probably discourage non smokers from vaping ingeneral. I have never promoted it to non smokers....
  21. Oh yeah,man...... not so much any more but some days, I grab me some 6. Lol
