Happy new year my friends. Let's wish that millions more join the ranks of non smokers and that all of your sage advice helps break the back of the evil lords of tobacco throughout the land.

Where's Carter? He's usually drunk posting by now..

Happy new year! Wait...still couple hours to go....

Well that's not exactly true plus there are work arounds.

Christopher Thank you for your in-depth reply. Sorry I missed it after you originally wrote it. It's clear you guys in the back room have this pretty well thought out. The fact that vaping has come so far is indeed amazing especially since it changes so rapidly anyway. I guess the longer it takes for the govment to figure it all out the more we benefit but I can't help but feel a bit of sorrow for those smokers in the future who may find "regulated vaping" just as expensive as smoking and possibly just as ineffective as the gum and the patch - at least relatively speaking. Sometimes I feel I should get down on my knees and thank the vaping gods I found it when I did in this relatively brief little window when vaping is simple, inexpensive and effective. I owe the pioneers my life for this.

If I had a nickel for every time my wife said "what flavor is this?" as she hands me her set up.... But my wife is a notorious mixer, lol. She vapes down the pumpkin then puts in a little banana bread and vapes that for a while then adds some vanilka caramel....then I get the question... "Hmmm....not sure, hon....*puff puff*...Im thinking...frankenstine???" lol. Im the opposite. I keep one tank one flavor and color code my drip tips. Good news is I finally got her off platic tanks for good. We use all protanks, davides and nautilus now. Life is good.... Until I get home..."honey, what flavor is this?" ....

When it cuts power do you mean immediately? Or after some number of seconds? Sounds like your resistance is too low or possibly the coil is heating and then swelling to touch the deck or fusing and dropping resistance.... A pic of your finished coil wiuld be awesome....

To Chuck Or Not To Chuck...That Is The Question
Bebop replied to Rixter's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I agree with you whole-heartedly. -
You are measuring the resistance of your coil and matching it to your battery capability, right?....... When you say "pop" do you mean the coil itself is actually popping and separating/breaking? What exactly are you using for a battery/mod/APV?

Have you Made the Switch AND Cut to Zero?
Bebop replied to JohnnyFog's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I'm working my way down. I don't necessarily see nicotine as a bad thing but I also think one day I'd like to be nicotine free in the sense of knowingly introducing nicotine in to the body in other than natural means. I seem to be stuck in the 3 - 6mg range for now. While I do sometimes vape 0 it just feels "empty" for lack of a better term. But then, I felt the same way back when I tried to jump from 24 to 12. Now, 12 seems like a lot and I can feel it. I suspect I'll get to 0 one day but I'm not stressing out over it. And maybe when I reach 0 that will be it for me and vaping. Can't say that yet, though. -
Study done shows using an e-cig with juice can damage healthy cells
Bebop replied to spydre's topic in General Vape News
I actually agree with you. But remember, we are a grass roots movement too and we are fighting to keep the right to vape as we all know it is healthier than smoking. Part of that fight is squelching the unreasonable, false representation and inflated exaggeration of studies that are designed to alarm the non vaping public and generate fear in vaping so as to destroy it. Make no mistake. This is a real battle being fought over dollars, not your health. But I whole heartedly agree with you. We can't let that blind us to the real risks of vaping. And those are real too. -
We care, man. . Glad you got it going

Yes, the little known 4th gift. Gold, frankincense, myrr and an ohmmeter .... Happy holidays Jon

Well that explains it....Angie Dickinson was not my cup of tea. But Michele Carey and Charlene Holt outsmoked Angie...

I agree with Carter. I have a really great B&M near me. It's well stocked, competitive prices and they cater to alk types of vapers from the noobs to the cloud chasers. I have been in there dozens of times now. Before Christmas I was in there "window shopping" and I spent some 30 mins hanging out and checking things out. They are actually very friendly and the owner as well as the staff take extra steps not to belittle any type of vaper. I think they will be in business for a long time. But one thing you will notice if you spend any time in there at all is that the casual vaper, the smoker who wants to quit, the budget vapers all out number the cloud chasers by a long shot. Spend a half hour in there and the same 3 cloud chasers at the bar sit there the whole time while dozens of vapers come and go picking up their juice, buying their ego bats, asking about simple tanks and setups, testing juices. Im not poo pooing the cloud chasers. To each their own. But they simply are a minority although very vocal and occasionally "holier than thou". There's always a couple ***'s in every crowd. Most of us just seek a decent vape. We don't settle for junk, we want quality in taste and vapor production. We wanted off the analogs. I don't even think I ever knew a smoker who did "lung hits" lol. Its definitely a phenomena of vaping/cloud chasing. Just like this forum, most of what you see is people happy to get off cigs. One friend of mine couldn't get off cigs til he got a mechanical. He needed more vapor but he's not a cloud chaser. He just needed the next level up of vapor production with a higher performance coil. I think the majority fall in to that category - people looking to break the habit of smoking and enjoying the toys and variety.

Ah, the great debate. I like both for different reasons. If you force me to choose I would pick El Dorado. Mitchum is great. Both highly entertaining. Caan is great. But so is Walter Brennan. I enjoy them both.

The no wick model, the holy grail of vaping, haha.... Pro tank II - coils around $1 ea. swap out coil 1x per week prob with a tobacco ejuice. It's really not that difficult or expensive when weighed against a $35 per week (average) smoking habit.

Salut. Welcome to the forum.

Me too, haha. Seems like years away and I'm not doing a thing except one day trip to my sister's in Napa.

Take me to school!

NooB sort of question on eLeaf iStick and KangerTech
Bebop replied to RichM-RI's topic in General Vaping Discussion
And honestly, quality of the juice has a lot to do with how it performs so don't cut corners there either. -
NooB sort of question on eLeaf iStick and KangerTech
Bebop replied to RichM-RI's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I like 1.8 ohms on a pro tank 2, but you should be able to push it to 3.7 a 3.8 comfortably. It really just depends on the juice at this point. If you don't change anything else (coil, power ) you should check out some juices. 50/50 pg/vg is going to be a nice starting point. Then just find the flavors you like. If you want less vapor go to 60/40 or 70/30. Want more vapor go to 40/60. For you right now it's all about finding the juice.... I also like as low as 1.5 ohms but you gotta have the right juice cuz it's hot and lots of vapor Good luck. -
Ok great.
