  1. It's probably more likely related to relative humidity. Sure, oxygen levels could play a part but I would guess moisture content in the air is the bigger factor.
  2. A gunked up coil may still heat and produce vapor (and flavor some say) but they do lose their ability to retain juice and the juice slips by and you get leaking. It's just leaking right past the coil. You could try cleaning the coil if you want to stretch them a little. Frankly I can't imagine a coil holding up much longer than 10 days under moderate to heavy vaping. They don't last forever. It's kind of a mystery they even produce vapor at all after 30 mls or so.....
  3. Sorry. Forst I want appologize to Rixter. I wasnt intending to hijack the thread. The heatvape mini is looking better and better the more I check this stuff out. I didnt realize the temp control technology is different in the M80. Looks like the dna40 is the only reliable one so far that I can find (and clones). Looks like I'll be sticking with that in my search.....
  4. I agree. We know heat degrades nicotine (not just evaporation). Whether it's significant amount is debatable but since his original post was more aligned with flavor and he appears to have solved that I'm just letting it drop...
  5. Okay thanks for the heads up. I'll check it out.
  6. Why wouldn't you recommend this mod for temp control?
  7. Cool. Glad you figured it out.
  8. Was the juice bottle itself sealed when you heated it? Nicotine evaporates rapidly. Heating it may have reduced your nic content leading to sweetness as well. Comp, is there a way to accurately measure nic content after mixing?
  9. http://www.myvaporstore.com/SMOKTech-XPRO-M80-Plus-80W-Box-Mod-p/smok-m80psl.htm This link says the chip is upgraded. I'm looking in to this too. I'm considering it because it's 4400mah and for the price I don't mind that you can't swap out the battery. I'm hunting up reviews and checking feedback about this unit. You have to build or use coils made of Ni200 only or the Temp Control feature won't work. Otherwise it'll work fine with standard Kanthal coils. I'm only considering buying because it has temp control.
  10. Welcome jbone. You won't regret it!
  11. Give me a magnifying glass, a box of crayons and a sunny day - that's art!
  12. I'll vote for you Earthling! And don't worry, I won't believe a thing they say about you just before they damn you to oblivion...
  13. Oh yeah...back when you could get a cap gun that looked like, well, a gun. According to some I should have become a real terror. Hmmmm....I wonder what happened?
  14. What about this little baby?..... http://www.myvaporstore.com/SMOKTech-XPRO-M80-Plus-80W-Box-Mod-p/smok-m80psl.htm
  15. Doesn't it follow with twice the surface area, twice the barrel, and equal wattage that the 12 wrap coil will go thru juice faster?
  16. Sad to say, of the 7 legit vape shops all within reasonable distance from me, only 2 stand out from the crowd. 1 is a juice and gear only shop - there's no cloud blowing at all and it's pretty much business only with people trying flavors and picking up gear. The other is all that plus the "cloud bar" is in the back, away from the register and normal transactions. In both places i am greeted warmly and professionally with no condescension at all. They are the models of a great B & M. The other 5 are a mess. Ill informed workers more interested in sucking on their own rig, messy, unorganized "we're out of that" with complimentary cloud blowing...
  17. Here's a pretty good vid on building a basic nickel coil. Interesting it takes 12 wraps of 28 ga on a 2.5mm spindle to achieve .18 nominal resistance. Surprisingly low. In order for TC to work your build must be under 1 Ohm.
  18. Oops. I should have added that you can't take advantage of the temp control with a standard kanthal coil, but it will fire them. I'm really interested in this product.
  19. Yes and that's the beauty of it. I think the range is 1 - 40 watts and .16 ohms and up
  20. Ok. Here's my next question - is this technology too new to invest in at this time? Has anyone used it and what can you tell me about coil life and performance?
