I usually go a week comfortably on a coil. Some juices are real coil gunkers and a week is too long. It really is not an exact science. Like Christopher, I know when my coil is dropping off in performance and since I rebuild them or re wick them myself I don't push them very far. It's too easy to rebuild or replace them. ANy time you taste that "off" flavor, it's time to change them out, imo. That bad taste is coming from somewhere not good, lol.

Holy smokes! Ok, I am in gold country Ca and I just stopped in this vape/smoke shop (I was surprised to even see one) and I was blown away. Super well stocked vape supplies - box mods, tanks, everything. And they were having a sale. I bought 2 more kanger sub tank minis (totally authentic - I made them open the box, lol) all docs, spare parts, spare glass, extra coils , mini RBA - $29 ea out the door. There's still gold in gold coutry!

The ego one puts out about 3.8 volts on a fresh charge and drops to about 3.3volts as it discharges. It's not variable so you are left at the mercy of your coil ohm. It will fire down to a .5 ohm coil putting out about 30watts but if you are using a standard coil, say 1.5 ohms it's about 9 watts or so. I would guess that your coil/juice combo is wrong for that juice. Or cheap coils to begin with. Or cheap juice . It really should perform nicely with a good tank and coil.

I saw one review that said the coils are not compatible. They appear to be slightly different size. That review was dated a couple of months ago. Hard to say if you don't have one right in front of you. Looks like a nice tank but proprietary so so sorry I don't have a definitive answer for you. I just did a search for the coils and the first 5 sites I looked at all and them in stock... Sorry, I just re read your post. Yeah, it's gonna be tough to find them locally with a relatively new tank like this.

Well, I can pick this up locally, but Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday are my long days. No way I'll get over there til thursday. Just as well, not like I'm hurtin. Just means I'll tap in to my stash and try some other stuff. Then this weekend it'll taste all that much sweeter, haha. But I WILL find a way over there before I head out of town this weekend. @earthling - I swear I had a whole bottle somewhere..... Anybody remember that scene in Continental Divide where Belushi loses his carton of ciggys to a bear when he's hiking in the Rockies. He has a couple left. That scene where he's smoking his last ciggy is classic funny stuff.

One of the things that concerns me is the screw on cap vs the o-ring fit. The transfer of heat has to be way higher with a screw on cap. And if the heat transfer is uneven you may have a heck of a time getting it off.....

Hey Rixter. So it doesnt just shut down when it reaches temp but lowers the output when it reaches temp? Im just curious about how it holds the temp. Is it on/off or does it reduce smoothly? I dont know if you can tell....

If you vaped 6 months without any reaction I would say it's safe to bet it's not the pg or vg. I've never heard your symptoms come up from vaping. Reactions to pg and vg are pretty rare but not unheard of. Most who experience minor reactions say a switch to pg free juice has helped. But other than that I'd keep looking for your problem. Good luck. I hope things go better for you.

I wouldn't call it obsolete yet. It just does not take in to account modern builds. It still applies to off the shelf coils and fixed voltage devices and basic set ups
