  1. What are your batteries rated?
  2. I hear ya. Had one creep down to .11 and I had to think twice about puttin it up to my mouth cuz I figure it's pretty close to turning in to a pipe bomb any lower than that. Haha
  3. No worries. Mine do that too. There are subtle differences that can change the resistance ever so slightly. And at this level your talking hundredths of an ohm - very small amount.
  4. You used the term "cloud chasing" in your title but then nothing in your post suggests that you actually want to cloud chase. First, are you vaping to quit smoking? Or are you vaping for sport? Btw, you have asked a question that is going to garner so many opinions and interpretations that you are likely to be just as confused after all the answers you are going to get. But out if you tell us a little about why you vape and what you want out of vaping that will help.
  5. I've had great success with TC. BUT......I think the coils are harder to fine tune (including wicking) than kanthal. Best for me is a spaced coil as even as possible and a nice fluffy wick with medium tightness through the coil. Once you have that down the performance and flavor are exceptional. I believe deposits and gunk show up more when the coil is not consistent - hot spots. Most of my juices are not dark but have varying levels of sweetness. Generally, I have seen almost no build up on the coil even after a week of solid vaping. And the wick is practically pristine and easily slides out of the coil after a week. My darkest sweetest juice after a week shows some discoloration in the wick ( but no sticky funky buildup) and only a minimal film on the coil itself which pretty easily wipes off and cleans up. on a coil that is not made even I have noticed that I have more build up or darkish spots on the coil. But since I've learned a lot and know what to do, I don't have this to any large extent. I also believe it was my early wicking woes and coil building that was contributing to my weird flavor issues early on. I am so happy I'm not even building kanthal coils anymore. I get a consistent clean vape, plenty of vapor and flavor and very little trouble - no dry hits, good battery life. Im sure kanthal has its place in cloud chasing, low ohm/high-power builds, but that's not what I'm going for. One other side benefit for me is that I've found even 6mg is a bit harsh nic for me and I'm quite happy with 3mg and I feel like I'm getting enough. Overall, I am very happy with TC.
  6. I hope this makes you laugh......and cry.......and experience a couple of dozen other emotions we all feel every day. if nothing else just imagine Kate Bush helping you through this one .....
  7. It takes me 9 or 10 wraps to get .13 - .15
  8. You built a pretty good one according to steam-engine. 28g on 3mm at 7 wraps is exactly .10 ohms
  9. Up your hydration. Many people experience different symptoms of mild dehydration from vaping. Drink more water.
  10. Must be that fresh Wyoming air too.... What ohm rating is the coil?
  11. a few battle scars will give it character. this last coil I built is performing like a champ. A week on the same wick and about 4 tanks with great vapor and flavor all along. I only changed the wick to load up a different juice. I'm really putting it to the test now with my darkest, sweetest juice and its jammin' like Joe Satriani got a new guitar. my pro tank minis have their place in my arsenal, but holy cow, it's tough to go back on this.
  12. That RBA section looks like a suped up sub mini - larger juice channels and holes in the barrel opposite the wick. I'll bet it performs nicely. Let us know how she chooches.
  13. 3 months? Dude, you have the holy grail of coil heads. I'd hoist that puppy up on your shoulders and parade it around town before dipping it in gold and displaying it in the Smithsonian Institute. Seriously, that's unusual coil life. It's like a super coil or something.
  14. Beautiful, Jason. I agree, you have to "zen" them apart.
  15. And for anybody else who's paying attention, I should add that Food grade doesn't necessarily mean it is less pure than pharmaceutical grade. Food grade just hasn't been "certified" or tested for pharmaceutical use. It may very well be just as pure as pharma grade and for all I can tell is likely to be.
  16. Okay, Cesar. Just stop now please, lol. I am not interested in a "forum war" ive got my foot on your chest and I've just pinned your body to the ground with my broadsword and enjoying a snack of your heart. the grades are: 1) pharmaceutical 2) food grade 3) farm grade 4) Industrial grade they are all separate grades and deal with their certification and/or purity or source. E juice more commonly uses food grade. You should never use farm grade or industrial grade for consumption.
  17. Man I hate this new editor. I just spent a half an hour detailing my response and locked up. The short version follows: sorry, I am being a little harsh on you because your post does not contain enough information to make it useful and Implies a couple of things that cannot be taken as truths. Point #1 - when you use the term "antifreeze", 90% of people are going to equate that with what is commonly thought of as automotive antifreeze and pg is not an ingredient in automotive antifreeze. Also, the association of one ingredient in antifreeze is out of context and is irrelevant and alarmist. Water is used in anitfreeze. So what. Equating chemicals with each other because they are used together is irrelevant. IPoint #2 - PG itself has a lower freezing point than water. It is used in conjunction with other chemicals as an ingredient to lower the freezing point of fluids used in equipment where hazardous exposure of the fluids to humans, animals, foods etc must be taken in to consideration. PG is considered benign - has no detrimental or toxic effects in relative quantities. Again, it's use as an ingredient in anything else is irrelevant. point #3 - you call it's use in e-liquids "the biggest problem" - it's a misstatement. I don't know what you mean by that statement. You might as well say "the biggest problem" with water is it's used as an ingredient in antifreeze. It's just absurd. point #4 - you have no way of proving pharmaceutical grade pg is in "most e-liquid". In fact "pharmaceutical grade" is a designation placed on a product by the USP and only sold by physicians and limited pharmacies. It is not likeLy e-juice manufacturers are using pharma grade pg. Not impossible, but not likely. You also cannot say it's "perfectly safe" (in the context of vaporizing it). No one knows that and it hasn't been proven to be fact.
  18. I wish i could erase your last post, Cesar. Its really quite uninformed on a couple of levels. Others should disregard it. I'll address it fully a little later unless someone else wants to jump in.
  19. Honestly, Ni200 is finicky. It appears to move around with the heat cycle. I believe my wraps tighten up a little after use. Im hoping Titanium is more stable. That's just a hope at this point. No one's chimed in that's using Ti so I don't know if it would be any better to work with. For now I'm going to use up my Ni and we'll see how it goes. Just my opinion but I wouldn't push .10 ohms. I'd shoot for another wrap or 2 and try to keep it up around .15.
  20. Yeah. That means a hot spot. No bueno
  21. The temp limit only limits the temp that the coil reaches (if it's working correctly). It does nothing with power (wattage). In other words, if you set your wattage at 50 watts, that coil is goingto get 50 watts of power no matter what temp you have set until the coil reaches that temp. Then the board goes to work dropping your power to try and maintain the temperature. I have found the ideal for flavor and clouds is to set the power and balance the temperature setting so the mod is not continually fighting itself. You may have the power set too high (for THAT juice and THAT coil and that WICK) where the coil rockets up to temp then bbounces up and down off the temp setting trying to limit it. I find its kind of self defeating to have that balance too opposing. IMO, for what I like, I like a lower power setting (between 18 - 24watts depending on juice) and a 460 limit. With good airflow that coil gets up to temp and rarely bumps up against the limit and only bumps against as the wick goes dryer as it's vaprizing the juice which happens more on long hits or chain vaping. If your wicking speed cant keep up with your power setting then you'll be constantly fighting dry wicks, hot spots, and temp control. This is an even bigger issue with RDAs with high power, multi coil set ups I'm sure. These are just my first ideas on the issues with temp control. It is the wild frontier right now.
  22. I would say hot spots or inconsistency in your coil wraps? Is your resistance jumping around? Could also be airflow. Where do you run your airflow?
  23. Lol, I'd say you have NOT vaping issues.
  24. Cany, you're scaring me, lol. I burn 1 per day
  25. Okay. We're getting closer. She likes the bell cap for the STmini. I found some bell caps for the Kayfun that are colored and she loves those. I'm now trying to find a colored bell cap for the STmini. Has anyone seen those? Sorry, I'm going a little off topic here.......
