  1. Cool. welcome to VaporTalk. Look for a thread called "share your coil builds" the builders and the drippers hang out in that thread. Lots of pics. Lots of advice. Some crazy builds. Ask questions in there. It helps if you ask specific questions or if you are trying to solve specific problems. Tell em your a noob. Be yourself. Above all, have fun and enjoy the ride. Good luck.
  2. It was working on my android a week ago but haven't seen it lately. Not showing on my iPad either
  3. Here's my advice: be safe 1st. Use a meter to measure your ohms on your builds. It will also help you to make consistent builds. Your dual coils need to be balanced or you won't get good performance. use an online calculator like steam-engine to plan your builds, size and ohms study up on building. Do your research. There's plenty of good stuff on YouTube specifically for your Mutation and coils in general. what you like for a set up will depend on what you want. Flavor? Clouds? Longer battery life? More or less airflow? You're going to be experimenting to find what you like and it's also going to depend on your juice. The short answer is there is no best setting. It's not like the stock coils in an Atlantis tank. You have many more variables with a dripper. go to a local vape shop and get help from the guy who builds there, not the guy that works the register. is there something you don't like about your .5 ohm build now? What do you want different? Here's an example of a meter to use
  4. Hey no worries at all. Sorry for all the questions. You're in new territory is all. Quite a difference between that and a dripper
  5. Okay Back to your original question - are you asking for a power setting? What are you trying to achieve?
  6. Ok. how many wraps of 24g on a 3mm gets you .5ohms?
  7. Have you built coils before? Do you have a meter to read your coils? Are you intending to build dual coils or single coil in that Mutation?
  8. It should be marked with an amp rating. It's not in your picture
  9. What mod ? and do you have a tank or a dripper?
  10. My mother passed away too early in her life. Cancer. It was tragic. She was only 54 years old. She was a bit of a writer and a story teller. She loved stories about old people. She collected them and retold them all the time. She had a fondness for old people like I'd never seen. It was well known in our family and circles of my mother's fascination and interest with the geriatric set. I told her a story one time (only slightly embellished, honest) that had her in stitches, and one she would retell throughout her life she got such a kick out of it. I had a job when I was in college. I used to service fire extinguishers for businesses and my territory was San Francisco. One day I was in Chinatown working my route. I would start at one end of the street and work my way down the block visiting each business, inspecting their extinguishers and servicing them if needed. Chinatown is an amazing, densely packed area of shops and restaurants filled with bustling people, lots of activity. As I started my route down the street I spotted a little old man who was walking across my path on my way in to the first business. He was around 90, dressed in local color and sporting the customary conical bamboo hat. With hands folded and eyes slightly downcast, he shuffled along in front of me taking the smallest steps humanly possible while I patiently waited for him to pass. I went in to do my business and when I emerged from the store and heading to the next door, there was the old man making his way down the street and I passed him to go in to the next business. Well, of course you know what follows. As I emerge from each business I am met with the little old man still making his way down the street , my image of him shuffling along never changing, as we leap frog each other from store to store all morning long My mom loved that story and it was with her characteristic affection for the aged that she would retell it along with my comical embellishments, for years after. At her funeral service, held at the church on the grounds of one of the original California missions and attended by more than 150 family and friends, the priest pauses for a silent prayer. At that exact moment, a side door slowly opens at the front of the church. An old man shuffles in and without acknowledging anyone or anything, slowly makes his way across the front of the church. He says nothing, looks at no one, doesn't so much as glance at the altar, the priest or a photo display of my mother, and is unphased by the quiet suppressed laughter that starts with my family and begins to spread out to the attendees as he slowly makes his way to the other side and exits as quietly as he came. No one knows, who he was, where he came from or where he went.
  11. I love parkour little did we know my brother and I started it all when we would climb the hallway walls to reach the ceiling as kids
  12. Never had one. Does that that make me bad? Discuss
  13. I thought they were hardboiled eggs with ketchup!
  14. Haha. I have a friend who deathly afraid of sharks. But she wouldn't miss shark week if you paid her. Seriously, she eats it up.....so to speak.
  15. Well, here's my first guess as to what is going on.... According to the calculator, 9 wraps should give you (.13) resistance. But you can see that if the coils is wider tthan the posts, tbe wire bends back in and touches itself and probabaly loses a wrap or two of resistance. In any case its messing with the resistance and possibly messing with Your electronics. Try to bend the wire out and then back in to the post if you can. Otherwise you can do more wraps and take the loss in resistance. Also, i wrap the coil as tight as possible then spring it out a little from each end. Then compress it and you'll end up with a tighter coil but not touching. It takes a little playibg around but you get better at it. Wick your coil so it just touches the deck and dont block the juice channels. After you assemble the sleeve, use a needleor something to gently move the wick away from the juice channels without mashing your wick. Prime it up good than put yourcoil cap on and then assemble to tank. You probably need a little less wick than you think. Im a big fan of the closed air hole primer puff to start the wicking action. Close your air off. Couple quick pulls. Open up the air and fire off. If you are hitting your temp limit quickly after a few puffs, it means your wicking isnt working well. Get that wick performing and you will be happy
  16. Thanks for the pics, cany i will get back to you in a little bit.
  17. 7 wraps is not enough. 10 minimum
  18. right, but I was thinking even to each coil. I like the large juice channels. As soon as I figure how to plug off the other side I'm going to build a single on the Zeph and see how she does
  19. How big is that coil. I can see its seven wraps but what did you use to wrap it? maybe a little cotton heavy
  20. Good idea. i have to say. The flow rate on this thing is incredible. Blows the sub mini away. Haven't tried the new sub mini yet though. Plus I'm also going to do a little mod to the sub mini that should up its flow rate.
