  1. Funny, i never had problems with nautilus either. My wife still uses two full size and one mini. The nautilus will not tolerate a single dry hit. If its not primed, it's over. Rebuild or toss. Once the coil goes, it's gone. Leaks past coil and no amount of cleaning brings it back but my ex perience has been thorough priming and not overpowering it and get 2- 4 weeks of consistent performance. The protank though is a workhorse. Especially if you make the coils yourself. Very forgiving.
  2. No, you are right on. There is a little bit of a double-edged sword, though. A smaller percentage of smokers are not satisfied with basic gear- egos and clearos. I think the sub ohm tanks help them, especially if they aren't highly motivated to quit to begin with. But the push is on to sell high end gear (read: more than you need) . And I'm not so sure getting beginners excited about subtanks and subohm vaping is great for vaping in general. It moves it out of smoking cessation and in to hobby and fad. Most will find they are only gonna be using a 1.2 ohm coil at 15watts anyway. And some are not gonna like the technique changes that come with higher watts and more airflow and the complication with all the variables and pieces. Honestly, my subtank mini is just a suped up protank. And the dual coil Zeph is too much for most of my vaping sessions throughout the day unless I'm alone or outdoors.
  3. I will probably try it myself some time. Right now I'm pretty happy building larger coils.
  4. Love it. But I want a single coil deck option.
  5. yeah I have yet to try a single coil. I just want to take the time to work out the plug. he's running it in temp mode. Guys are having success making smaller coils with twisted kanthal/Ni. Somehow the kanthal raises the resistance of the Ni but doesn't defeat the TC properties. I haven't reasoned out the science for myself yet but it's working.

    Taser Mod?

Oops. Not exactly what I meant. I think its a bad idea for a weapon to double as an eating utensil, for example.
  7. I might suggest you look in to why you were having difficulties with the nautilus too. The sub mini while most likely will perform better is still subject to poor performance if there is possibly some basic error or faulty or counterfeit parts.

    Taser Mod?

Perhaps if the dual purpose Taser didn't involve aiming at the face (or other sensitive areas of the body ) we could have something there.
  9. Dodgers? Oh yeah, I've heard of them.
  10. I'm trying to imagone what 67,000 cigarettes looks like 336 cartons of cigarettes stacked would be 56 feet tall!! I'm impressed! Congratulations
  11. DragonGunner - are you using TC on your zephyrus? Have you used it in single coil mode? If so, how do you set it up? do they have a single coil deck for it?
  12. yeah, but it doesn't have GarageBand !
  13. The South produced Pat Conroy and Lynyrd Skynyrd. It's definitely not all bad i suppose any of us could hold up unflattering examples of regional culture from our own areas. California is probably as diverse as they come yet has all the racism to accompany it. It's shunned openly, but it exists. By and large it's a minority of trouble makers while the rest of us get along quite happily with each other.
  14. Well, that's interesting. I'm on iPad now and my safari browser is identical to what you have posted there except I do not have the very top where I do not have the same address bar and I do not have the three vertical dots. ive hunted around and I can find nowhere to switch to desktop mode.
  15. Sweet deal. I'll check it out later.
  16. Not to go too off topic, but in general I dont like to go below .7 or .5 max on a kanthal build myself. However, a .15 Ni build (using TC)does not seem to perform anywhere near like you'd expect a kanthal build would perform. I'd say my Ni builds at .15 with TC are comparable to a .5 or .9 kanthal build as far as vapor and flavor are concerned. The appreciable differences and my preference for TC all lie with consistent performance for much longer time before cleaning and rewicking. It's much more trouble/fuss working with Ni but it has a learning curve steeper than kanthal but worth it.
  17. I'm trying to determine if I have a glitch in my iPad or if the problem lies in the software on this site with regard to posting. I very rarely post from my PC. No problems there. My time is probably equally divided between my iPad and my android phone. No problems on the phone. On the iPad, when I select a reply to a post amd get several annoying problems: -No response requiring multiple taps to get it to "select" - the text window pops up but when I try to touch a starting point, the cursor does not come up and i can't type a response - the cursor comes up and I start typing but no letters appear. Have to back out and try again - select window to begin typing and it kicks me out of the textwindow and opens up the general forum - cannot select any emoticons as part of text These problems are not random. They happen nearly every time. I do not visit a lot of different sites but these problems only occur on VT site. My iPad functions normally on virtually every other site I visit (which honestly is only a few other sites.)
  18. I like that the ipv d2 lowers the resistance limit to .05 (if that's true). You may have seen the trouble we go to building coils small enough to accomodate a .1 build buildin some RTAs, which is the low limit in a lot of mods. .05 is scary low but I don't know how you get around that since it takes a mile of Ni to get a .15 build. But the .05 limit takes a little of the pain awayy if youve ever tried to target a .1 build, spent the time making it to have it read .09!
  19. Welcome! Ive been vaping for over two years. I can honestly say at this point I can feel no bad effects from vaping. In fact, I would say in general I feel better than I ever have after smoking for over 25 years. there is a lot of bad information being put out about vaping that is false and its purpose is to frighten off new people to vaping. Honestly, my opinion is vaping is not a totally healthy activity but is on the order of thousands of times less harmful than smoking cigarettes.
  20. interesting question....I'm just trying to understand it....I don't know that they can be compared. As soon as temp control kicks in on a Ni coil, it performs differently than a kanthal build, no? Up until that point I would think it would be the same. You can throw all kinds of power at a kanthal build and it's constant - it doesn't care about temp my first answer is it is equivalent if the power you throw at a Ni coil does not kick in temp control if coil temp is a limiting factor, how can you compare them? I guess you'd have to be able to measure the coil temperature on a kanthal build, which I don't believe would be constant any way and if you think about it the only thing that limits your temp on a K build is juice flow and airflow.....and maybe time - how long it's fired.
