  1. I think you are misunderstanding something about this. Nicoticket is using flavorings produced by other companies. Those othrr companies are producing flavorings not intended for inhalation. They pretty much don't give a rat's*** about the contents with regard to inhaling them. Liquid manufacturers are "borrowing" these flavors to use in their liquids. They are not "putting harmful ingredients in their products". The only choice they have is to use different flavorings. Flavorings which may or may not contain harmful substances and can't be determined definitively without testing. The flavoring companies aren't going to test. They already know what's in their flavorings. It's up to the eliquid makers to test and then try to eliminate flavorings that test positive for unwanted amounts of diketones (DA, AP etc). So yeah, I think that's that's being responsible. What's not responsible is selling eliquid with false claims they are diketone free or ignoring the situation without testing. The "industry" (assumed to be vaping industry) and particularly the eliquid makers are stalled on this point. It's expensive to test and you run the risk of losing business. The flavoring industry is entirely separate and shrugging it's shoulders.
  2. I do not like metal drip tips. I've changed out all my drip tips. I have yet to find a 510 that doesn't fit. Some are not as good a fit but all are passible. I personally like glass and carbon fibre. The acrylics are ok too.
  3. Yep. Thats about where I hang out as well. I find a cold coil reads higher at first. Then the ohms will drop with use. If I put it down for a while the ohms will read a bit higher again. I have since learned not to pay too much attention to the man behind the curtain. I just click my button three times and repeat "there"s no vape like .1 ohm, there's no vape like .1 ohm"
  4. Hey, I like that squape Rs. That's pretty trick.
  5. The ohms jump around a little on coils. Especially Ni and especially if recently used What are your settings?
  6. I haven't had any problem fitting standard 510 drip tips in mine.....?
  7. They are definitely different looking. That's all I can say.
  8. You'll have to try. Looks like the arctic will take either but i cant find anything that says the spartan can take the btdc coil. That usually means no. But not definite. Sorry
  9. Sweet. Ive really been thinking of getting another one. Is that green one? Like hunter green? That's awesome
  10. Well, I disagree with you. I think it's highly responsible of them to test their liquids and publish their findings. As I stated, the levels were low to non detectable. Vaping has always been about harm reduction. Never about risk free "smoking". there is no evidence that diacetyl has produced any illness or disease in any vaper and it has been around for as long as liquid has been produced. The issue of DA (diacetyl) and AP (acetylpropionyl) in e-liquid really gained some traction with the release of a study investigating its presence in e-liquid by Dr. Farsalinos and colleagues. Based on an analysis of 159 e-liquids and concentrated flavors expected to contain the chemicals, the study found that around 74 percent contained either DA or AP. The median daily exposure for vapers was calculated to be 56 μg (1 μg = 1 millionth of a gram) per day for DA and 91 μg per day for AP, which are 100 times and 10 times lower than the exposure for a smoker, respectively. is it avoidable? Probably, if you can get manufacturers to test and publish their results. Without that, you have no way of knowing if your juice contains it and to what levels.Ive said it before. Vaping is not risk free. And guaranteeing that there is no DA or AP does not in and of itself make it risk free. This is about harm reduction. DA has been singled out, but is not the only issue. And I don't care what claims are made, this is still the wild frontier and you vape at your own risk. I'm not here to defend diacetyl. I'm trying to put perspective on this topic.
  11. Nicoticket is one of the few vendors who openly tested their juices and published their results. See their site. With what we can compare, the levels are very low to non-detectable. Diacetyl is ALL over the place. Some juices comtain it, some don't. A great deal are still unknown. The only way to know is if the juice is tested after manufacture. Juice manufacturers are using flavorings made by other companies. They dont make the flavors themselves. Flavoring manufacturers are producing flavors for ingestion, not inhalation. There are no standards for inhalation. They are not bound to test or research these chemicals as they are not intended for inhalation. Therefore it is next to impossible to determine if companies manufacturing juices have diacetyl free juice unless they do therir own testing. Do research further on it.
  12. Sorry - by "pen style" standards I only meant that the ego one is large. Something near 3/4 inch in diameter. It's not the trim diameter of a standard ego battery which is around 1/2 inch maybe. That may not bother you. And. There really is no practical difference in variable volts/wattage - if you increase voltage you are increasing wattage and vice versa. They go hand in hand.
  13. Nice! You got your hammer, stakes, 30ml and 50ml of holy water. You're good to go.
  14. Wow. Jason. I've been studying this. So what you're saying is that is a design feature of that coil? The bottom leg is longer (looks nearly twice as long) as the top leg? Seems like it really would create imbalance in the coil. No way to correct that? Just something you have to live with?
  15. What is the ohm rating of your coil? what is the rating of your battery? honestly, your post worries me. It's not that difficult to educate yourself on this subject. Your question reveals that you have more to learn and understand before you randomly start building coils and hope that some guy on the Internet a thousand miles away is going to give you assurance that you're ok. YOU should know you're ok because you understand how to safely build a coil. You shouldn't be building coils if you don't know what you're doing just because it's easy to do. You are risking fire or injury to yourself or others. Be smart. Know before you go. It's not worth the risk. You can go to somebody who knows and have them check it out you can inexpensively get the meter you need to determine yourself Read up a little on coil building. There is good info out there.
  16. Start by setting your temperature limit to 450 degrees and your wattage or power to about 25 watts. Try out your vape. Adjust your temp limit first before changing your wattage. In TC, your wattage is less critical. If you seem to be hitting the temp limit too quickly, bump down the wattage a little. You will find a sweet spot somewhere in there between 430 degrees and 500 degrees maybe. The watts somewhere between 18w and 30w. Various things will affect it, the juice, chain vaping. You're just going to have to experiment and report back what is happening. Also, read the TC thread. Lots of good tips in there. "Let's Talk Temp Control"
  17. What kind of coil is that? Does anybody recognize that? @sugarglidezz Im sorry. I tried reading your posts a couple of times because I'm confused a little. If I understand, you are tasting "something" unpleasant even if you taste anothers' tank and they all agree that it tastes fine to them whether its your tank or theirs. In other words, they do not experience the unpleasant taste on your device. But you taste the unpleasantness no matter what device you try. Correct?
  18. Thanks for the reviews, Adv. I've got my radar out on a couple. Right now Billows look like its leading the pack.
  19. I don't know if I'd call the eGo One a "pen style". Is that style acceptable to you?
  20. Looks like their setting up mom to be a badass and that's cool. Dad, I don't know, he's willing and positive and proactive. The kids, so far I want them all to die, lol (just a joke - they have the most growth potential) I like the subtle touches - the kid carrying the knife to school. Dad finding the addict/homeless dude behind the door. There's a lot of potential for new chatacters. I like the slow burn idea. Works for me and it's a nice change from just nonstop zombie bashing. This could be good.
  21. Sounds totally normal to me. welcome to sub ohm (coils rated lower than 1 ohm). They like to sing! thats the sound of juice cooking on the coil.
  22. Yeah, they work great too. So much easier to wick. I replaced both my RBAs with the new ones. It's getting so easy to use these now.
