  1. I will in fact be both grillin AND chillin tonight. Most likely at the same time even with a brew in one hand and the tongs in another as we approach - what's that called again? - oh yeah, winter. In fact, we have some if those things in the sky - what are they again? - oh yeah, clouds and it looks like it might - what is that thing where water falls from the sky? Oh, rain and shortly I will be moving all grillin (and chillin) operations indoors.
  2. Lol....yeah if it comes apart more than this, it's broken. Haha.... So just to clarify - you dont have to disassemble the airflow base. You just have to tighten the bottom center pin under the rba deck. The center pin IS the male thread thaat holds the insulated post to the deck. That's the truth and I'm stickin to it
  3. Found a picture of it disassembled....
  4. Wait....! I just remembered. Its the center post underneath the deck. It threads in to the foot of the insulated post from underneath. You need a needle or something similar to push thru the air holes in the center post underneath. It is hollow and acts as the airway from the deck but threads in to the post footing from below.
  5. I may not be saving a ton....I'm definitely saving something. But one thing is sure - I'm much happier spending my money where I'm spending it now than I was a few years ago. (cant believe I'm in my 3rd year now).
  6. What he said ^^^^^^^^^ If i remember correctly the screw that tightens the insulated post is under the deck but be carefull, as I recall you risk losing the airflow bearing when you take it apart. Im pretty sure it was that way on the subtank.
  7. It's shorting or loose connection or broken wire somewhere is my guess after wicking. Check the insulated post connection too.
  8. Welcome! enjoy the evods. They served me well for a while. You can, however improve them slightly with a higher performance tank. Evod does have a dual coil tank that you will probably like (if that isn't what you got already) i dont recommend mechanical mods, but that is just me. On a mechanical mod you do not have control other than the coil build. but, a regulated mod, like the iStick 50 is awesome because you can then have a ton of options on tanks that allow you to get much more performance. Everything from a gentle flavorful vape to a cloud busting mouthful. Im sure you'll get lots of recommendations. Oops. I see you got the Mega. Should be great performance for you for a while but your next step would probably be a regulated mod like the iStick.
  9. I don't know....at first I thought it might be the new guy - Heath? But he was with them........
  10. Ok you east coasters. No spoilers til late tonight.... Very funny, Jeff.
  11. Okay......lol i just want to clarify. After I bought the tickets I went to American Airlines website and looked up all their restricted items. it turns out you are allowed to bring them on the plane but cannot store them in checked baggage. You just have to have them in a case or bag that protects the terminals or in a device. Of course it does say if you are caught vaping they are going to confiscate it (and probably check out what flavor you're vaping, lol) okay, I was worried for a second........
  12. that's what I want to know. Crazy thing it's not specified. I smell a rat......
  13. ....and guess what? on the on-line ticket buying process, I had to agree to their terms and conditions that I would not bring Lithium batteries on board, such as e-cig batteries......yeah right. Funny, they didn't mention other devices haha... Im thinking of going rebel ... or or maybe I just buy bats there. Florida is loaded with ecig stores haha....
  14. What sux is, although I'm still able to use my sub tanks (they are literally hanging on by a thread! Haha). My RBA on the other hand doesn't have a long enough thread so I can't use it. That is a bummer...
  15. Yeah and they don't last very long either... thats the trick because a brand new coil will take more wattage when it's fresh. But eventually they turn and then you're stuck with the burnt taste until you make adjustments. I generally just start at lower watts and let that coil last but then, that's just me.
  16. So I emailed Heatvape and they sent me to 3avape, lol. I emailed them back because that was the only place they sent me a link to to get the part. Amyway, I'm assuming it is the only place and i guess I'll have to wait on the back order.....
  17. Ok. Then you are probably just running it a little hot, I'd say. yAnd you are arerunning airflow full open and direct to lung hits?
  18. Sub ohming at 6mg can be brutal, I've found. Especially if not high vg.
  19. Okay, so power may or may not be an issue. I personally can't push a .5 single coil past 20 a 22 watts without getting burn. It's fine for a hit or two but the wick can't keep up without a little time to recover. It also depends a little on the juice. How much it can tolerate. but the first thing I would look at is the wicking. Make sure it's somewhat fluffy and loose at the ports but kinda snug at the coil, good wicking action is a must for sub ohm coils.
  20. Cool and what is the resistance of your coil and what power do you have it set to?
