  1. Lol. See, I don't have oven mitts that match my mod and vaping without matching mitts is gauche.
  2. From a website that carries it Rebuilding with Ni200 Nickel just got a little easier. Tempered Ni200 nickel wire has the feel and consistency of Kanthal A1 wire, but almost exactly the same resistance as annealed Ni200 wire. Recommended for temperature controlled devices & chips. Available in 22 AWG, 24 AWG, 26AWG, 28AWG, 30AWG & 32AWG Tempered for a more firm end product Perfect for temperature controlled devices MUCH easier to build with than annealed Ni200 NOTE: Heating this wire above 750C (1382 F) will effectively anneal the wire and make soft. I dont know why i can't read that.....I don't know what I did there. I give up....
  3. Wow. Good point. I never lock in the base resistance. In fact, on the evic the resistance jumps around like crazy, especially when I'm hitting it. I never thought to lock in the resistance. That should keep the power consistant (to THAT resistance). I never had that problem with the mini Invader. I'll try that. Thanks Jason! I also have a roll of the tempered Ni which I haven't tried yet. That should help it stabilize physically. I have long suspected that the soft Ni coils change shape.
  4. I have a dogeX2 RDA that I love right around 40Watts. And that sucker gets hot. But it cranks at 40 watts. No de desire to go higher for me....
  5. I have noticed some inconsistencies with juices over the years. Some more than others. But the biggies like 5 pawns and those that heve been around a long time are generally consistent and I've always chalked up differences to born on dates. I used to love Suicide Bunny Derailed bit they went through a formula change after the diacetyl scare I think and it's never been the same.
  6. Yes. This is what I'm talking about, lol. I get to the point where I'm wondering why this and why that. Jiggling, reconnecting, trying different batteries... Oddly enough, I have the least of my problems with the mini Invader. Im pretty sure it's a wicking/coil issue over a board issue. Er.....or possibly airflow.....er....I mean, airflow and wicking.....and coil diameter.....and temp setting.....ya, temp setting. That and juice flow.....and....wattage. Can't forget wattage.....and.......
  7. Lately my Ni coils have been finicky and I'm not sure what I'm running in to... My coils all meter out about .15 But after I run tthem for a bit, they peter out. They start off strong, break in after 10 or so hits, chug along for a short while then promptly die out. The resistance seems to change I hit the temp ceiling fast and it stays there. I inspect the coil and it looks fine. Now recently I have made a few changes- I'm using the evic VTC mini more. I also changed to cotton bacon. Im a little stumped and I don't know why my Ni coils are collapsing so soon, sometimes within 1 tankful. When it's great, it's great but I've gone blind and I don't know what to look for. I use the ST mini exclusively for TC. Am I just having a bad hair day? Have any of you run in to this and what did you discover about TC that makes or breaks it. Right now I'm sucking down a twin kanthal build and loving it until I sort this out.
  8. I don't like to get my face anywhere near something that's a 100W watts. Haha. Sorry I can't help you.
  9. Doesn't add up 40W? 300*? if you are vaping temp control then those settings are a little wonky. Temp control is prob shutting down that coil before you're getting any vape. If I were you, without changing your nic, I would bump the temp up to 350 and drop the wattage to 15 or 20. See if you notice any change.
  10. Hamburger menu and footer? I dont know what that is exactly. Keep in mind this is not the full site but what appears to be a mobile site. At the bottom of the page is a menu. It has the following choices: SHOP MY ACCOUNT REGISTER TERMS AND CONDITIONS RESET PASSWORD BEKULAI WHOLESALE AFFILIATES NEED SOME HELP/CONTACT US and that is it. There is no other footer. The pull down menu at the top of the page just has store links.
  11. I've tried the Blu, the Njoy and the Joye e-roll. if you ever have times where you want to vape and you wish you didn't have to carry around a heavy box mod and tank or even felt an ego style with tank was too much or more than you needed then you might enjoy having a cig alike. i actually thought the e-roll was pretty clever. It's the same size as a 100 cig. It's a tank and separate atomizer system so you can put whatever juice you like in it. It comes in a cig case about the same size as an iPhone (the small one!). You charge the case and the case charges the ecig. There is a new one out now - the eroll-c. I sometimes have times when I miss this. i sold mine to a guy who was a cloud chaser but he loved them because he could just hold it in his teeth while drove (a stick).
  12. I know I'm missing something easy here... After my horrendous day trying to post from mobile yesterday (posts freezing on "save", posts showing quotes from my last post, "show new replies" not showing) I decided to delete my history and log in newly this morning. I was surprised when I went to the vapor talk.com site it says "store & forum" yet I could not find the access to the forum. No link that I could see. I ended up doing a google search for VT forum to get here this morning. Im sure I just missed something simple. This is all from my android phone and I don't use tapatalk. Mike
  13. I have to say the nautilus is my favorite slap in a coil and go device but I haven't tried many others. Works well for me when I want simple .
  14. .....he must be trying to watch himself vape in the mirror...
  15. The temp control is automatically bumping it down in wattage which you can't see while you're vaping. If you could watch the screen while you were hitting it you would see it jumping down in watts. My guess is, it's about the same as you are used to. As long as the taste and vapor are about the same you have no worries. If you get a little light headed, bump the wayts down to 12 or 15.
  16. @Tam cripes I typed out a beautiful reponse. You should have seen it. Haha Cajun. If it's good flavor and vapor, you're good to go. If it's lacking, bump up the temp, not the wattage. Just remember if you put a different tank on it you may have to switch modes to power mode instead of temp control mode. (some modern mods switch automatically)
  17. Yeah. I see now. This editor is giving me fits!! My phone is locking up. Im not seeing replies. Then I am. Then it's quoting my previous post. Then it won't post !!!! Ahhhhhhh!!!
  18. Is it using a temp control coil? (it should have come with both a standard coil and a temp control coil) you have to match the settings of the mod to the coil. Also, in temp control, the mod automatically adjusts the wattage. You set the wattage to 15 or 20 but then adjust the temp up or down. 450 might be too low. Try 480
  19. Read your manual. Sounds like you have it in temp control mode and not wattage mode.
  20. It comes in bats and you peel it off in layers. Its very loosely wound and by the time you groom it and shape it you have shed off a lot.
  21. Oh yeah, we love pics. I get up your way a few times a year. Love it.
