Yeah that's weird that you have restricted airflow on the horizontal RBA. Shouldnt be that way. Again this could be a wicking problem. I don't know. Hard to troubleshoot without it right in my hands.

What Happens When U Mix Root Beer & Vanilla?

Weinhards over Haagendaaz - oh man. Puts A&W to shame. But I'll take your suggestion as it's one of my favorite desserts. -
Interesting. Hot spot maybe? Sometimes coils get hot spots and don't vape evenly. Can you knock the gunk off with a needle or something? Try this experiment - reassemble after cleaning and then drip a couple drops right down the chimney. Repeat it again and again. You might get a bit of flooding but it will tell you a lot about your wicking... Edit: I meant to vape it after each dripping if that wasn't understood. Essentially tirning it in to a dripper. If it vapes well then you know your wicking isn't keeping up with your heat and juice.

I swear there's foam in there. Good to see you Comp! -
Hard to see but is that a vertical clapton? In general I find vertical coils to be slightly uunsatisfying when compared to horizontals. Can't really tell but it just doesn't look that burnt. Maybe the coil is ok but wicking needs to be modified?

Bliss. Bliss happens. I went outside my usual and vaped a tank of Mt Baker Root Beer (it's spot on) as I will occasionally do a change up. Halfway thru my second tank it was beginning to cloy and I decided why waste it and loaded up the tank with Vanilla Gorilla from EC Blends. Good stuff.

Well. Now I don't even know what you're talking about. We clearly aren't talking about the same thing. This is exactly what I mean by inferring something he clearly did NOT say. You're free to draw all the inferrences you want but the video speaks for itself "Selling out the industry"? You give him too much credit. That doesn't even make sense. Vaping is a 3 billion dollar industry and RT isn't even a bug spatter on the windshield of the vaping industry, lol. Poor taste? Buffoon? Sure. His antics annoy me but his methodology with regard to vaping is sound. Im sorry. Much ado about nothing.

Well, i suspect that's somebody else's interpretation of what he said. He doesn't say that in the video but I can see how his detractors would love to infer that. It's all political bs anyway. There are some people who cannot stand others successes.

Im no RT fan particularly. But what exactly did he do that was shady? And I watched the video. He doesn't make any claim that vaping caused hypothyroidism. Is it somewhere else? He used his mass appeal and wide fan base to plug a product. So what? Is that the controversy? We have known for a long time that vaping causes dehydration. All of his symptoms are symptoms of dehydration. He plugged an electrolyte. My gawd. Round up the boys. Let's go lynch RT.

Yeah you can really drive a new coil pretty hard. But dont be surprised if that changes in a couple days.
-
Watts/Volts - they are a product of each other. If you adjust one, you are automatically adjusting the other. You do not set them independently of each other. Everybody has slightly ddifferent settings they prefer. There is no magic number. It's kind of like driving a car - some people go 25 in a 30 and some people go 35 in a 30. At 15W you're probably doing 40 in a 25. Try adjusting it to taste and go from there. And remember, if you're doing 40 in a 25 you adjust your budget for tickets.
-
It'll be fine for a while but at 15watts you'll probably burn out that coil fairly quickly. Just put coils in your budget if you're happy

So I am digging my new (ish) Youde Zephyrus V2 tank! Holy cow they made some nice improvements to this gem and I loved the first version. They improved the top fill design so you don't have to twist off the top and unplug that little rubber deal. Now, you just twist the top 90 deg and fill and you're good to go. Also, they have provided a plug that allows you to use in single coil mode which means it is now suitable for TC mode and that is fantastic. They also totally redesigned the wicking ports and it is much easier to wick and soaks up juice like a sponge. This thing is a juice hog but oh so good. I'm getting a couple more.
-
I build all my own coils. I just get better performance and they last longer.
-
Hahaha. What it means is, you need your wickingworking to be able to keep up with the temperature your coil produces. if it cannot Wick the juice fast enough you'll scorch the Wick and get a terrible taste. so power doesn't mean everything. if you throw 50 watts at it but your juice can't keep up bad news. in a stock coil off the shelf they boast being able to handle 40 watts or whatever but the truth is it'll be a lot less than that. unless of course you are building your own coils where you get to control all of that. that's where the fun really starts.

The istick 20w is just the battery. It doesnt tell me what tank you have but no biggie Im kind of assuming you won't be building your own coils. There are half a dozen popular sub ohm tanks with little variances. You'll pay $25-$35 just for the tanks. Coils will run you $10-15 per pack (5). Take your pick. Don't go too cheap. Ive been using the youde zephyrus tanks and kanger sub minis for a long time. Tgey are both direct to lung tanks, not great mouth to lung so if you're not used to that you may want to go with Nautilus or Atlantis style tanks. In a sub ohm tank you wont want to vape any more than 6mg nic. Higher vg gives more clouds but mutes flavor. My happy place is 3mg nic in a 30/70 or 40/60 on a .8 coil at about 20watts but varies with different juices. I have a couple of other dripping atomizers for playing around but the above is my daily go to. There is a lot of variation and you can make just about anything work. Just stay away from cheap stuff off ebay and have a go. Best of luck!

What's the best place you've ever vaped?
Bebop replied to Jessyvapes's topic in General Vaping Discussion
High Sierra No smoke. No butts. No rangers and gorgeous views. -
With a little knowledge you can make anything produce flavor and clouds. But remember, more clouds does not necessarily mean more flavor. You can find a happy median with both devices. All about juice and coil resistance/wicking.

What tank are you using? Need some details. What are you currently using? Most importantly, what juice are you using and what nicotine level? Post some pics. Entertain us !

VTC mini here. It's great.

Just my advice. Don't go crazy on .25 coils. Thats way hotter than the .5. You may want to go the other way - .8 or 1 ohm.

If I remember correctly the CF is a constant output battery. It's not variable which means you jave to match your coil resistance to the voltage output (it doesn't put out 40A - you're looking for a voltage output. ) Sorry its so complicated but you basically need to get a variable sub ohm battery. Without that control you're flying blind and and subject to burning up your coils. Yeah, your battery is putting out 4.2 volts which on a .5 coil is probably close to maxing out that coil and thus short life. I dont have my calculator with me but with that battery which isn't the greatest in my opinion you'll increase coil life by moving up to 1ohm coils. Its just not that great of a rig and if you're going to sub ohm you definitely want to move on from that

All good info above One of the keys to higher wattages is wicking. I'm sorry but the premade standard coils just aren't that great at wicking, especially the verticals at higher vg mixes than 50/50. This is just my own observation. With the RBA section I can improve the wicking but even still depending on the juice and coil resistance with a basic .8 ohm build I rarely can push a juice past 18W. On a .5 or .4 ohm build wattage can go up but remember, power or watttage is a function of voltage against coil resistance. It follows that a lower ohm coil will naturally take higher wattage. This is why the age old process of boosting power til you get "burnt" and then backing off from that is still the best method for dialing in a wattage. All you can do to get the best advantage is improve the wicking and that already varies depending on juice consistency (viscosity) no matter the pg/vg ratio. And there is only so much you can do with a premade coil in that regard. Just my opinion Incidentally, this is why dripping is so popular since you are "artificially" juicing up the coil directly and so therefore you can up the wattage with great success since you are not relying solely on wicking ability.

Ok. So you have some kind of clearomizer (tank and atomizer combo). It's not a liquid seal. Probably just cosmetic o-ring. Not a big deal.
