No, back light it. Put a light or a window behind the cloud. It will enhance it. ...although a blacklight is a good idea too...

Here's a couple of my favorite tips: Frosted acrylic Wood with extension (notice how short this tip is) And a delrin tip I don't have a jade or stone tip with me today

nice.... Notice the remnants of his primer puffs, heating that coil up, behind him. Then a thick, rich cloud. Sweet. Im not a cloud chaser myself but I can appreciate them haha.

looking to replace my vape? Advice?
Bebop replied to Sarah_1988's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Everybody has different vaping styles. Or different vaping techniques. All of these variations lead to different performance. Different flavor. Different coil life. I have pretty good working hypothesis on this. My wife and I use the same coils and tanks. We both vape a variety of juices. She goes thru coils twice as fast as I do. Sometimes we even use pre made coils but most of the time we use coils I make myself. She says to me, "can you check my coils?" I take a hit off her rig. GAUGH!!! Terrible! I just made these coils a few days ago. My coils last 2 weeks sometimes with just a drop off on flavor but nothing close to burnt. How is that possible? We have completely different vaping styles. I like LOTS of airflow. I take relatively quick, hard pulls with lots of airflow. On a cool coil I take a couple primer puffs just as I fire the mod, not inhaling. Then, I do a nice deep and brisk pull. I get lots of flavor and vapor. I vape higher wattage than she does. Yet, my coils last twice as long. My wife, on the other hand, fires her mod then starts to nurse her hits. These long, gentle draws. You can hear the juice cooking on the coil. She gets way less vapor. The contrast to our styles is either end of a broad spectrum. I'm sure everyone varies between these extremes and some fall outside of these extremes. but I'm pretty sure that coil longevity is tied to juice flow rate and airflow. there's a good chance that if you are prematurely burning coils up, then your airflow rate is too low for your wattage setting and the juice is just sitting there cooking on the coil. I'm not really saying it's wrong or right to vape one way or another. But I do think it explains why different people have different results to the same coil. Not all coils are the same, for sure. I think most experienced vapers develop a sense for how much air to cpull over that coil. There's a little sweet spot in there you can feel and hear. And any "low watt" vaper probably has experienced the sensation of pulling too much air over a coil too which can be pretty unsatisfying as well. Just lots of air. just my thoughts on it -
What the frack is fracking??

I got my jade tips from either Sweet-Vapes or Vapor Authority. I don't remember which.

I favor almost everything over steel. I always change out all my drip tips. I have a couple of jade (stone) tips that are great and look awesome. I also have some wood tips that are sweet. Highly polished and smooth. Very nice but they are a short tip so I use an extension to bring them off the tank a bit. I like glass but they get dirty and funky looking fast. I like the feel though. I also use wide mouth delrin and carbon fibre tips. I like them too and a couple are trimmed in steel but they're not my favorite. Anuthing but steel

@Foofightervapegirl I just added an 80w TC eleaf to my collection. Love it. Mainly got it so I could try out SS Temp Control. But Im diggin the battery life, wow. It's very smartly designed and has a clean look and feel. It was a good choice for me.

Morning! coffee and a vape for me. I suppose I'll get around to some protein soon enough. The break from the heat has been welcome! Morning! coffee and a vape for me. I suppose I'll get around to some protein soon enough. The break from the heat has been welcome! Guess I didn't need to say it twice, lol Chris!

I should have added two things: 1. Make sure your mode matches the coil, i.e. You have it set for titanium. It won't work if set for wrong mode. 2. Be absolutely certain you have primed your coil with enough juice before you fire it. If you fry that coil before it starts hitting you're better off starting over. Once you fry a coil you never really get that taste out. hope that helps

They are the worst. When something is out of sorts with your mouth it is incredibly annoying.

So..... This is just an anarchist's thread? Is that the idea? Wide open free for all under a single thread? Ok....I'm following this one... Hope you're feeling better soon, chris

Tell me the pg/vg ratio of your juice if you know it. set your temp to about 375 and your wattage to about 20w to start. bump up your temp first without changing your wattage. Take it as high as about 450. Still unsatisfied? Raise the wattage. somewhere in there you will find the performance you are looking for. I as about your pg/vg ratio because with hotter temps and coils below .8 ohms you will need higher vg content in juice to eliminate premature "burnt" taste

Well since a short or near short equates to heat, I'd say that's how it's done. No doubt Claptons take a lot of juice to light up. One thing I've noticed is that claptons require more amps even given the same resistance as a standard subohm coil. Not sure why that is but a .3 kanthal wind and a .3 Clapton behave differently. Claptons get hot. I've tried them in my youde zephyrus and they heat that sucker up big time with a .5 coil and 40w. The tank gets literally almost too hot to handle.

...or, you can't find the caramel macchiato because your wife got up before you and took that sucker to work with her.... ...Aren't you glad you stashed a whole bottle of cafe mocha SHE doesn't even know about???.....
-
.... You load up a fresh coil, grab your stuff and head out the door while you let that fresh coil soak up your favorite juice... ...and then you take a hit off that thing expecting all that yummy goodness... ....and you discover that coil is a dud or a burner! Aren't you glad you have back ups???

The ProTank 1 is such a simple device. The only reasons for no airflow, coil working or not are: 1. Blocking airvents at base with fingers or such. 2. Plugged airvents At base 3. Plugged chimney or drip tip 4. Plugged coil

Let's just say it was educated.

Duhhh......I guess I should read the post title, huh? @Tam Hey maybe it's that dust ball in the pocket thing!!! ......never mind.....

Which protank? 1,2,3 or 4 It could just be the airflow???
