  1. Actually, Afallucco, this is not correct. If you get too high a resistance you will have to activate your battery with the button longer to bring the coil up to temperature enough to vaporize the liquid. = shorter battery life. Sia- the 1.8 or the 2.0 will give you the best performance for your battery. As far as flooding, you can take apart the T2 and clean and dry it and it will perform like new. I have also found that if you fill the T2 too high up to the metal band at the mouth piece you can flood them. I always fill mine to just below the band and they don't flood. Actually you can fill up to the point where the wick goes in to the coil but no higher. If you fill higher than that on the T2 a thinner liquid can flood the coil. I started a thread called "a question about resistance" and Viper Ron posted a resistance chart that shows battery voltage versus resistance that is very helpful.
  2. Doh! Thanks Tameiki. I just read Kitsune post on flavorings and that helped alot too. Im surprised that our juice cintains such a high percentage of flavoring. Im assuming that is still true today.
  3. Can someone give me some info on flavoring? I assume flavors are marketed by suppliers like anything else. Do different manufacturers use different sources for flavors? Why are some flavors clear and others heavily colore?. Or is the color not in the flavorings? Im just looking for some basic info on juice construction Thanks
  4. Yes i find this frustrating as well. Not only pg/vg missing but other info as well. I ran in to this when i was trying to find out about juice coloring. No information. I just generally shy away from vendors who leave out obvious information. Ultimately I am responsible for what I ingest into my body and if I dont know, I just wont go there. Its too bad because i generally liked gourmet vapor's liquid but i cant find what's in it so until I know i just cant buy there yet
  5. The CE4+ is rebuildable. You can just get replacement atomizers. Be sure to buy a few of those too. Easy to clean and take apart if you're changing juuces.
  6. Yeah, tell that to my wife. She does like her bling :-)
  7. I tried the tape over the hole trick and it works pretty well. Not perfect but much better. I still don't think I'm getting my battery back, lol
  8. Lol, I know I'm asking for miracles... Couple years ago I found a great deal on a truck. I couldn't pass it up. Good condition and low miles and I gotta have a truck. I just like them and they come in awful handy. Just ask my friends who always wanna borrow it. But I digress.... How do I get ciggy smoke smell out of my truck??? Is it even possible? Even when I bought the truck it had been detailed to death and I could tell it had been smoked in. Does any one know the best way to get rid of the smell? ....okay, the second best way. I can't afford a new truck right now as I've got vape gear to buy according to you all. Seriously anything work? And I refuse to hang one of those disgusting Christmas tree jobbers from the rear view. *gag*
  9. Well I made an important discovery tonight by accident. I know this probably belongs on a technical thread but there has been so much discussion of it I thought I'd mention it here. I tried a search because I'm sure this has come up before but I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. Short story- my wife has been having a little more difficulty getting complete satisfaction from vaping. She hasn't smoked but she just hasn't been totally satisfied. She complained of having an airy draw. I'd hear her vaping and it just sounded like she was getting too much air. I tried to teach her to pull more slowly but she just didn't like that it wasn't natural. We have the same set up - eGo battery and Kanger T2. I converted her to the T2 and she loves it except its airy draw. Finally I decided to solve it. Long story, short- I have Joyetech ego batteries and she has the "cute" knock-offs. After trouble shooting the T2s because I thought it was a Clearomizer problem I finally discovered that the Joyetech batteries have a significantly longer thread. Originally I thought their only function was to hold the battery and Clearomizer together. But now I see the threads play an important part in airflow. The air holes in the side of the T2 match up well to my threads on the Joyetech restricting the airflow nicely. I never have had a problem with airy pulls. I get a nice soundless tight pull and awesome vapor production very similar to a real cig. When I finally compared her threads with mine, I would say she has little more than half the amount of threads on all her batteries versus mine. What a simple thing. I never thought to swap out the batteries with her. She was amazed at the difference in the pull and not just that, but she was getting richer vapor and better flavor. She's a happy camper now. Of course, now I have to buy some new batteries, lol Anyway, just thought I'd share. Goes to show you how compatibility with parts is not always ideal and if your not satisfied with your rig well maybe something can be done about it.
  10. I have a package coming from vape dudes today, hopefully. I went for the strawberry fields too. I'm also trying a couple of their coffees and I picked a couple "oh my gawd what have I done" flavors. The other day I mixed my own strawberry/lemonade from 2 juices I bought and its awesome. Coffees are my main vapes but it was so hot here last week I could barely stand it. I needed a "summer" vape lol. I now keep a kit with 3 batteries, 2 T2s, and 3 CE4s. The T2s have 2 different coffees, and the CE4s have fruits. I find I just need a break from the coffees , but I can't vape the fruits very long. I have a honeydew that's outstanding but only for a few drags then it starts to cloy, you know, so good it's bad, lol. The strawberry lemonade I can do a lot longer. It's pretty refreshing. But I still need that dark, smoky, bitter taste mainly to mimic tobacco for my main vape.
  11. Keep talking...I'm learning, lol (Cue munchkins)
  12. Great chart. Thanks Viper Ron. So by the chart - it looks like if you draw a diagonal line through the middle of the green area you get the best trade off, vapor production vs battery life vs coil life. And, what do you know, with my twist I start tasting "burn" on my 1.8 - 2.0 at 4.0 - 4.2v so the red zone is really the beginning of burnt flavor. the juice would be a factor too. 50/50 is "slow" to wick and I find 80/20 "fast" Bcarter, I am finding similar things. I like sweeter/cooler and bitter/hotter
  13. Well, you didn't just jump in the pool....you did a cannonball off the high dive! Welcome
  14. Mike said: "The lower resistant ones can take on a burnt taste if you put too much power to it and they are never right again, so I try to avoid cranking my twist fully when I have less than a 2.2ohm on it." That's what it was. I think early on i was cranking so hard on that sucker i was burning them up prematurely. I was burning up a coil in like 5 days. Actually I was frying it and then it would never recover.
  15. I'm pretty sure i will eventually quit vaping but it's a little too soon for me to commit absolutely. I can say for sure I will drop my nic levels as I progress. I still need my 24 in the morning but then I vape during the day on 18 - 12. Sometimes i need to go back to 24. There something about it that just has a hold. Iexpect this to be a process that could take a while.
  16. Hats off to you kitsune and here's to the boss! (clouds of vapor)
  17. I hadn't thought of that. Lower burning temps would tend to carmelize the liquid, wouldn't it? Clogging the coil. I might try a new resistance level and play with it.
  18. Sorry to hear about the kitty but he/she had good long life, huh? I've got an old blind pit and I'm not looking forward to that day. He still thinks he's a lap dog. I've wondered how it'd be trying an analog again. Thanks for straightening me out!
  19. Ah...another chef. Thanks for the referrals. Believe me I'm having enough of an adventure just finding a few normal flavors, lol. I don't think I'm ready to try the crab juice yet...
  20. I I like this. We have a gourmet vaper among us
  21. My "quick and dirty" method is remove the tip. Pour juice out in something to save it with. Unscrew the coil/atomizer. I blot the wicks with a tissue. Wait a minute to let the juice wick back off the coil from inside and blot them again removing as much juice as I can. You have to be gentle because you can easily pull the wicks and disturb the coil and that's not good. You can get the wicks pretty dry. I can easily rinse the tank and the tip and dry them with a tissue. Then I just put it all back together and refill with new juice. The old flavor may be present for a few drags but in most cases it goes away pretty quick. It doesn't work with all juices. I tried a cola one time that was really difficult to remove but if you're going from a light flavor to another it's pretty good. If you are using disposable clearomizers you don't have much choice but to rinse and let them dry thoroughly because the water will wick on to the coil inside and you have to wait. I've heard you can dry fire it to vaporize the water before you add your juice back in. The longer method and more thorough is the one bcarter describes.
  22. I can't tell you how many hours I've spent researching and reading e-cigs and related material since I quit 6 weeks ago. I have been absorbed in it, frankly. Yesterday was the first time I went back to the liquor store where I usually buy my analogs. He hasn't seen me or my wife for over a month. I had to break the news. I don't smoke anymore. Just for a second, his face dropped. He had already reached for my cigs. I told him I was seeing someone else, that i was vaping. He nodded and pointed out the little 505 stick on the shelf and I pulled out my eGo. His eyes widened up. He had that look in his eye like 'you'll be back'. I promised him we could still be friends and I'd stop in once in a while. I paid my $6 for a drink and snack. I used to drop $30 - $50 at a time there every few days. Wow. Ok, it was harder for him than me.
  23. Prepare to be more amazed. You'll probably start feeling better in short order. Smokers are going to start smelling funny to you, lol. I wish great success to you and your wife. It's so worth it. Keep reading and learning. There is more to discover and even greater satisfaction not to mention cost savings.
