Almost looks like winter today. First real grey skies and a spot of rain threatening. Can't believe we went this whole summer without traditional BBQ pics in the lounge.

That .5 clapton doesn't start singing til about 30watts and that's approaching the limit of the subvod. Avoid it. A regular ssocc .5 should be okay. Truth is the subvod is really an entry level kit and you are finding that it just under performs a bit for your needs. I think it's fine as a pocket device to get you thru a couple of hours but it's not an all day affair. It just has a quick drop off aftrr an hour, especially with any sub ohm coil. Save your dough. Sounds like you might be ready for an upgrade soon.
-
I agree. A regular .5 ohm coil should be okay but with reduced battery life. But a clapton coil will not work well on the subvod and will suck that battery lifeless quickly. They take too much power to heat up.

I remember more than a few complaints about the switch and a lot of modifying talk on the Nemesis back a couple years ago. Never owned one but it was a hot topic years ago.

Your battery is running low. Dont forget to clean the charger too. Those subvods take a long time to charge fully. Like 3 - 5 hours

California Moves Against ‘Public Threat’ Of E-Cigarettes With A Tax
Bebop replied to Christopher's topic in General Vape News
Insert long wordy diatribe on the politicians and morons who agree with them. I'm too tired tonight. -
....when, you think to yourself, okay I've got enough tanks and mods and RDAs now. I'm good... ...the somebody comes out with the Alien mod....oh no.....

Getting a strange error message when posting "too soon."
Bebop replied to Tam's topic in Website Feedback & Bug Reporting
I've never had a problem with flood control system. Never even knew it was there, lol. But lately there is some glitch in the posting. For me, and it may be part of flood control, I hit submit on a post and instead of it taking the submission and returnong me to the thread, it just sits there on the submission screen. In fact it will allow me to keep submitting my post (until I figured out it WAS submitting my posts and I was merely submitting duplicates). That was ftom a tablet at home. Haven't experienced it on mobile and it only happened last night a few times -
Hi Brian. Welcome.

You'll thank yourself shortly when your body begins to heal from all those ciggys. Best of luck to you!

What do these coils work with?
Bebop replied to Patricia's topic in Tanks, Clearomizers & Drop in Coils
As far as I could tell, it looks like those coils fit only the Horizon arctic tank. A search showed that I couldn't find any other tank they are compatible with. -
I like my sub tanks minis at about 60VG or 70VG. That's just a preference though. I personally don't enjoy max VG juices as much as juices in the 50 - 70VG range. It's a flavor thing for me. But, you bring up a good point, cany. If you build your own coils, you can definitely rig up a coil/wicking combination that will run higher VG juices. If your not dripping and you want to rig an RBA in a tank to run higher VG juices then you'll want to make your wick/cotton kind of fluffier and lighter, not too dense. You'll want an RBA deck with bigger juice channels or holes. That would work too.

I don't know of a good tank that will run 80+ VG. You'll have to wait for the Vaporbeast guys to come and confirm that the Vaporbeast will handle 80VG. At any rate those Atlantis coils are probably not handling 80vg very well at all. Once you're in to max VG territory your average tank isn't going to cut it. Those guys will probably respond tomorrow.

Thank you, your honor.

Maybe turn it off? I don't know, seems like half the time it's ok. It's only on a hot thread that I find it most annoying. But if it's no difference to anyone else, i vote turn it off.

I see what you mean about the air flow slots being high. And, even inverted, they could be too low. My experience is airflow right opposite the coil is best. I don't know. Im not a huge dripping fan. But if I find a flavor I really like - and I have lots of it - I can get in to it and nothing beats it.
-
Doesn't the toptank mini come in two sizes too? Haha. That's what I mean, too many freakin designs and variations lol.
-
Ahhh....ok. Didn't realize that. Can you post pics of the body and deck?
-
Yeah, what RDA is that? You would do well to get a proper RDA and forget all that tank flipping bs. RememberRemember, airflow is key to an RBA. Those coils have to line up on the airpath nicely to get the most out of an RDA. my Doge X2 has great airflow alignment and a pretty deep well. Hits great and can chooch for multiple hits before reloading juice. It's a great little RDA and cheap

Sorry. I can't edit my post now which I would have done to avoid confusion for future readers- You have a top tank mini which is essentially an upgraded, top fill subtank mini that has slightly less juice capacity So Id like to retract what I said earlier as I was thinking toptank nano when I described the shorter chimney. The top tank mini uses the same subtank coils and RBA deck as the subtank mini. ThIs post is for no other reason than clarity. It's hard to keep track of all these freeking tanks haha. I guess that's a good sign. I mean, the top players are still cranking out the products!

Bam! Glad you got it.

I wanted to add - dont forget that that once you get excessive gurgle, the juice could travel down in to the base. Flooding in the base can not only cause gurgle which can't be burned off, but it also disrupts your airflow and could potentially cause electrical inaccuracies that make the tank not perform well. If the gurgle doesn't clear up by burning it off, pull the base off, remove the coil and dry it up, and rinse the base and dry thoroughly before reassembly and that should take care of the gurgle. If if your still getting gurgle after that then you might have a problem at the Oring on the coil/base, either no Orin's or a double Oring.

Hi Chris, I was wondering. Is there a way to make the "reply is merged" featured user controlled? Or make it so a user can toggle that feature on and off? once in a while I might have an after thought on a post . Sometimes I want my afterthought to be a separate post for clarity. So the other person knows I have made an addition to my post. A reader might not catch that I have added a short line to a post, when he has thought that he has already read that post. Sometimes the merge feature is fine when you are responding to a post when you know the originator is not there. But when the originator is actively reading your posts, they could miss a point that was added automatically with the merge feature. just a thought

I don't know if you missed that thread but the ssocc is a regular Nichrome coil, not stainless steel so it should only be run in wattage mode. The stainless steel refers to the body of the coil. ok. Your opening post says subtank mini, which is a totally different tank but they can use the same coils. 70vg is good. Are your juices super sweet? You are probably best suited around 22 watts. The toptank mini has a pretty short chimney, it performs well but it's not really made for high production/high wattage like other sub ohm tanks. The sugars in very sweet juices tend to spit more than others. I have run in to bad coil batches before. It's rare but it does happen. See if you can clear that gurgle first then run between 18 - 22 watts and see what happens...

Do you know which version of the sub tank you have? Does it have 1 airflow slot or 2? ive never been able to run a .5 ssocc coil above 30watts. They say they are rated higher than that but I don't believe it. Are you sure they are authentic Kanger coils? is your juice ratio less than 60vg?
