  1. No problem. I know exactly what you're going through. I had an easy time of it. Got my e-cig, took a couple puffs, tossed out my last pack and haven't looked back. For me I was instantly happy and satisfied. In a couple of short weeks I was enjoying the side benefits so much (not stinking like an ashtray, not having to go out of my way to smoke, blah blah) I knew I was done. My wife....not so much joy. Even though she hasn't had a ciggy since we started, she has struggled greatly and it took her a couple months to get "home free". 1) it was her desire to quit that drove her but she had to do it intellectually, not emotionally. She had to keep the practical goal of quitting in the forefront, ahead of any habit and routine and the "love" of smoking. 2) it was important to her that I quit and it was important to me that she quit. We knew it wasn't going to work if only one of us quit. 3) she had to "learn" how to vape. She partly wasn't satisfied because she wasn't getting the vapor production that satisfied her and she struggled fighting her smoking instincts. This we took care of this by getting her a quality e-cig (Joyetec eroll) that closely mimicked her smoking routines. Only later did we upgrade her to a performance unit. but it was a learning curve for her 4) we talked about it every freakin' day and night, lol. It was our "project". I did all the research, listened to her problems and solved them. And that took time and a little bit of $$ 5) finding the right juice- absolutley essential. A good tobacco mimic was vital for her at first. 6) we made it fun! Watched YouTube reviews. Looked at stuff on line. Went to local shops and talked with other vapers. When our community blossomed, she struggled less. Now we are rockin' the vape. In fact she has turned more people on to it than I have. She got her son and his friend off cigs. 2 of her best friends are now vaping. Good luck! Hope this helps. If y,ou have any questions just ask. This place is super friendly and the combined experience is priceless.
  2. When you come up with the formula, let me know!
  3. To milestones and success for all !! *raises vape* Thanks to all for your help and support and well wishes, spoken and unspoken.
  4. Yeah. I have never really seen a straight chocolate nor a reallt great chocolate. I got a chocolate toffee from a local shop that wasnt horrible but wasn't just chocolate. The chocolate truffle from vape dudes was ok. If you think about it there are a million different chocolate flavors in the world and most of those aren't "just" chocolate. Almost all of those are mixed chocolate. Like those evil ghirardeli squares with the caramel in them. Dang those are good. You would think chocolate would be a good vape but it really is more complex flavor than it seems
  5. Steeping might help the ones you already have. One thing that helped me out and saved a couple of juices for me was, early on, i purchase a 15ml bottle of flavorless juice. In a few cases when the juice i bought was too much, too heavy or outright perfumey i mixed in some flavorless to tone it down. You don't need as much flavorless as you think. A few drops per ml to taste. And premix the juices. Mixing in the clearo is not that great
  6. You do get a better vape with a manual set up for sure. But you can get an acceptable vape from an automatic and have the advantage of being hands free, you know, for gaming, driving, playing your guitar.....
  7. The wife and I, stinky free 90 days. A small but respectable milestone, hmmm? We love our new life.
  8. Brand new Brick & Mortar store and a very cool idea. This place specializes in e-juices. They have a few devices and some basic gear but they're really set up to deliver the juice. And juices they have... This place really is a bar. Nice friendly inviting atmosphere, flat screen TV with the game on, and a long wooden bar with bar stools. Behind the bar, a giant rack loaded with e-juice. I moseyed up to the bar and set myself a spell when a friendly waiter brings over a menu. Nice menu! Well laid out and professional. It's exactly like what you'd see at a 4star restaurant. The Vapor Bar carries premium juices from at least 7 different makers and dozens of flavors from each vendor - the Vaping Monkey, Uncle Jack's, Black Label, Lush Vapor, and a few more, including their locally made Shark Juice. All testers are at 6mg nic. I sat there for about 1/2 an hour tasting juices. Outstanding service. Great e-juice. Fun atmosphere and met lots of friendly people. Great social atmosphere. I paid a little bit more for juice $11 - $13 for 15ml. BUT I walked away with 45ml of the best juice I have ever tried and I will vape all of it.....and go back for sure. Well worth the extra money to know what you're getting instead of hit or miss on line. This won't stop me from ordering on line but it is a nice break to get out and socialize with other vapers too. Highly recommended if you live in the South Bay Area
  9. Where did you order from? What mix and nicotine levels did you use?
  10. "Lush Vapor" cappuccino ......mmmmmmmmmm
  11. The formula, or the ingredients of the juice is more important than the flavor. A juice manufacturer can make just about any juice flavor sweet or bitter. Lower nicotine levels with a balanced mix 50/50 pg/vg will give smoothness and less harsh "hit". After that its flavoring and sweeteners used. I have been surprised when ordering juices how a Strawberry or blackberry at 24mg nic with a 80/30 mix is way way different than 6mg at 50/50. If you like smooth sweet flavors I would drop the nic levels and use a 50/50 blend and start there. Edit: I would go with sweet fruits, bakery items, and maybe candy flavors There is no substitution for being able go to a vape store and "taste test". But keep in mind that they usually have their flavors for tasting at low nic levels (6mg - 12mg)and if you buy that flavor at higher nic levels its going to taste different and less sweet. This is just my experience
  12. More great suggestions! Well I had pretty good success with a good basic cleaning. I removed everything from the cab .....everything. I did a monster vacuum and a killer wipe down with ammonia. Then I used a "woolite" upholstery cleaner on the seats. Then I flooded the carpets with a light mix of simple green and water and wet-vac it all up, some places more than once. Rinsed thoroughly and wet-vac again. Then put in oven on 350* for 45mins (parked on street and let it dry, lol) I would say I got 90% this way. I haven't done the air filter or vents yet. By then I was exhausted. But I'm pretty happy with how far I got and the results. My ride has never been better! Thanks for all the great ideas!
  13. What Tam said. Check out the Vision nano. Pre fill with a few different juices. Whoever said ' Variety is the spice of life' must have been a vaper!
  14. Kerk. I understand what you want. Do a search on YouTube for Joyetec eroll. Look for review by Vapor Chase. Watch that one, its pretty good. Nice performing 510 automatic. I have personally used this and can say it performs better than common Blu cig, njoy, etc. Edited to change search to "vapor chase"
  15. 3 words - vaping in bed Not an ashtray or butt to be found 90 days, baby! 90! (In my best Telly Savalas voice) Picturing 1800 analogues in a pile and shaking my head in disbelief
  16. Well I went to the store to buy the 306, it was pretty busy so while I was waiting I notice this one employee is doing something funny (strange), oh, he's rebuilding an atomizer. So now I've got a free show. And I'm watching him and the whole time I'm thinking 'that's not hard. I can do that. He's rebuilding an Octopus RDA. Of course, I start asking questions. Now I'm in trouble. So I walk out with a 510 (he didn't have any 306's) AND my new Octopus which is the picture I posted. THE OCTOPUS ROCKS! There it sits majestically atop my ego 1000maH twist......a few drops of cappuccino...GLORIOUS.....a few drops of mocha java....BLISS....a couple drops of caramel popcorn.....a couple more drops of caramel popcorn.......a couple more drops....well, that pretty much lays out my Sunday for ya....now, where's that Belgian Waffle....ah, yes....... STUPENDOUS. *disappears in a cloud of vapor*
  17. I just thought they were amazingly cool looking. And i'm usually pretty practical. But one look and I was like 'let me drive that thing' . Meanwhile, I'm preparing a post in which I curse all you dripping queens for turning me to the dark side, lol. I have taken the red pill. I am not who I was 24hrs ago......
  18. I couldn't vape less than 24mg for about a month or I'd be climbing the walls. Then I braved throwing in some 18mg once in a while. 3 months later, 24mg tastes strong to me. I only vape a few hits of it before dropping to 18mg or lower. I have 3 clearos with 6 now i rotate during the day with 18 if I need it. I can totally see myself with very little nic in a couple months.
  19. Unfortunately i dont know any short cuts except when starting out, buy smaller quantities or go to an actual tasting bar at a vape shop. You really should grab one flavor that does it for you or will hold you over while you search for the holy grail, lol Tell me what you imagine a good flavor is like. What flavors do you enjoy? Do you want to totally get away from tobacco flavors?
  20. Not to turn this into a steeping debate but i have never really noticed a difference in steeping juices. I have about 5 bottles of WTF!? juice that are now 6 weeks old. This weekend I rolled them out and tried them again and they are every bit as nasty as they were 6 weeks ago. I cant say I have one juice that improved and ive been pretty patient. But the ones i got that were great staight away stayed great. I dunno. Jury's still out for me on steeping.
  21. I'll have to try a vodka wash.....maybe even clean some clearos with it if there's any left over.
  22. You might be getting a little nicotine "buzz" on the lips from your mouthpiece. Try keeping it clean by wiping it down especially if your tipping your rig up. I don't know what you are using but I used to get that sometimes.
  23. Glad I wasn't there, lol. All I remember...thought I was gonna die! I don't think I smoked for a week....
  24. Lol, no Tam. Musician....
