  1. We have an office surplus store in the area. Companies that remodel, go out of business etc, off their stuff to this place and it is resold. I got a nice office chair for $30. You can usually find quality there if you don't mind used stuff.
  2. Yeah, I pretty much still consider my vaping to be a vice albeit an incredible alternative to smoking. The only reason I don't vape around kids is that I don't want to set an example to them. I know that's hypocritical but I just don't want to encourage them. That goes for any child of any age for me. I always have that dilemma when I see teens smoking but that's where parents or friends come in, not strangers. As for the dog, he did not enjoy smoking but he doesn't seem to mind vaping.
  3. I'm afraid I'm another one who hasn't experienced any measurable benefit from steeping. Any juice I have liked right out of the box remained great and those that were perfumey and chemically tasting never lost that flavor even after 3+ months of steeping. But, a lot of well respected people swear by steeping so, again, one more example of how subjective juice and tastes can be. One promising thing about juice life; I do have a vape dudes flavor that I like but it's not at the top of my list so I don't tend to vape it much. I've had a 30ml bottle of it for 3 months now and it still tastes the same as it did when I bought it. Hasn't changed one way or the other after three months. We do have 2 B & M stores that sell prepackaged juice with born dates. Of the flavors I have purchased from them, none of the born dates was older than about 3 weeks - a month. But these guys sell a LOT of juice. Some of the juices are not marked but that doesn't necessarily make it bad juice. And, since I get to try the juices out before I buy I also find it interesting that the prepackaged juices, which in some cases are a month old, taste just the same as the samples I taste. All of that is to say I haven't found a lot of wild variation in juice flavor or throat hit over time. It either tastes good and hits nice out of the gate or it doesn't , for me.
  4. That's awesome. Your success rate just quadrupled! Best of luck to you both!
  5. How about something like "it's a very long process, and it takes time, and how what a marvelous success you are and my, don't I smell nice, and isnt it wonderful how food tastes incredible and gee it feels great to be alive. Etc" And then glance over at the spitoon and crinkle your nose a little and shake your head. They'll get the message
  6. Wow. A lot of complexity here that I havent experienced. I have all Joye-tech ego batts, variable and fixed. I used to not charge them until they fully ran down. Then i did quite a bit of research on batteries of the ego variety and lith ion batteries in general. I now charge my batteries whenever I want without regard to charge cycle. Ive charged them at various levels of charge, even when they are at 70 - 80 - 90%. . I have noticed no difference in charge life. Apparently even if the battery is on or off the drop in life is miniscule. Not enough to even think about. I havent found it to make any difference. There is some evidence that "charge ind light" can come on before battery is fully charged but it is a small factor. A few percent. The number one factor in battery life is compatible charger. The charger must be rated for the battery. The number 2 factor is heat. Leaving batteries exposed to heat shortens battery life. And of course discharge varies with load. You will get different life based on coil draw. After that it's just how much your vaping! As usual, the previous is my educated opinion and subject to human folly and fate. YMMV Cheers
  7. Yeah. For me the 24mg really gave me that kick that I needed in the early days. Anything less than that and I was not a happy camper even at 80/20. But that was the early days. Now I'm a certified lightweight, lol. I've found I really dont crave that massive throat hit that I so needed only a couple months ago. Now I am totally satisfied with 12mg and plumes of vapor with 50/50. Its funny how my tastrs have changed. I still, however, will not put up with a bad tasting juice. Gotta be good juice, lol. And after 4 months I have 4 absolute vape all day juices and a couple "passables" that keep me in the game daily. Life is good :-)
  8. ^^^this^^ From everything in your OP, you've got to get a clearo that doesnt leak and a juice with a 70/30 min pg/vg at 24mg. You get that, and you'll be there.
  9. The juice heats up and cools down over and over and this changes the charactrer if the juice as well. My coffees can go super dark in a couple days. The light or nealy clear juices take longer but they will also carmelize too. I used to top off my tanks couple times a day but now I vape them down and periodically clean my tanks to minimize this..
  10. Nicotine CONTENT is measured by the milliliter. Example: juice rated at 24mg has 24mg of nicotine in every 1ml. Therefore, a 10ml bottle has 240mg of nicotine. If you are vaping 4ml of 24mg juice per day then you are vaping (4 X 24) 96mg of nicotine per day. HOWEVER - your body may not be absorbing 96mg of nicotine. From everything I have read there is no reliable way to measure the exact amount of nicotine that is absorbed by vaping it. Vaping habits and practice along with your own body's ability to absorb nicotine, which may vary person to person, make the math of it only a guideline at best and do not reflect actual nicotine absorption. The only truly reliable way to know what "too much" is, is to monitor your own body reactions and adjust accordingly.
  11. Spydr - You said 4 mg. Did you mean 4 ml?
  12. I think a little clarification is in order here. The FDA has not "approved" any e-juice at this point in time. However companies that make e-juice can and do use FDA approved ingredients. Carrying those ingredients would allow them to state that in some form
  13. Oddly enough i find coffee vapes conflict with real coffee so I have found bakery flavors to be the best with coffee. Cinnamon roll, banana bread, anything creamy, vanillas etc all good coffee vapes.
  14. Well, B & M stores can be frustrating too. They were out of my replacement coils and the drip tip I picked out from the display so I struck out there but I did walk away with 2 new juices. Lush Vapor "twisted cooler" and "seedless watermelon". Nice summer flavors and not too sweet.
  15. Yeah, like a fine wine, I guess? Or a $50 steak? :-)
  16. Of course. :-P what was I thinking
  17. Cream: Monkey Cream - The Vaping Monkey
  18. How about we each reccomend something that we havent tried but maybe heard about or found that looks promising Ive been wanting to try Fuzion vapes.... Edit: Fuzion with a "Z"
  19. How skilled are you with a drill? At the base of the tank are the air holes. You would need to drill one or more out. Find the bit that fits. Go up one size and drill one out. Try it out and repeat with another hole if necessary.
  20. Started with 24mg. I'm now at 12 mostly with ocassional jumps to 6mg. I plan to get to 0mg. Once I'm consistantly at 0 I'll likely decide then whether to quit vaping. No plans to quit now, but I have a sense that I may quit altogether. It'll likely be months from now before that decision comes.
