You have it backwards. Less resistance requires less voltage to make same power. Given the same voltage, less resistance makes more heat than higher resistance. I should add that the above doesn't mean that the goal is the least resistance. If your resistance is too low it gravitates more toward a dead short and this can be dangerous. Your battery becomes a time bomb. You should research this further or talk to someone who knows before you get to heavily in to modifying your gear.

Have you tried Fuzion "krankberry"? -
Awesome! Welcome. The mini PT II is a great upgrade. Enjoy!

silica wicks are already more dense and more uniform in size. They tend to expand when wet. But they are subject to the caramelization that takes place at the coil. Over time they become stiff and bond with the coil. They lose the ability to hold moisture, hence the gradual "dry" hit that comes about after a few tanks. Silica also doesn't burn. This had me fooled for a while because I always thought the "burning" taste in an old coil was the silica but it's not. The burning comes from the caramelization of the juice compounds and the gradual takeover of the coil by the caramelization. Dry burning of silica wicks gets rid of this caramelization for the most part but it's not 100%, so eventually the coil will not recover after a few dry burns. Eventually the silica does weaken and deteriorate from the heat. I can lengthen the life of a factory coil by cleaning and dry burning, maybe 2 or 3X but I think it is wise to just toss them or rebuild them after that because it probably isn't healthy to be inhaling "burnt" juice.

This is my final guess, since I can't see your rebuild) - you say you use cotton. I would bet your cotton wick does not have enough material. The juice is flowing too heavily to the coil and is not restricted enough. Remember, as the juice wicks and is constantly being fired by the coil, the wick contracts and gets gooey with deposits from sugars and whatnot in flavoring. This does two things, the wick loses its elasticity(stays compressed) and loses its ability to hold the juice. Once that happens the juice gets by the coil and into the airway and battery. Try beefing up your wick (more cotton) and not necessarily more flavor wick. (I don't believe in demons. )

Tyler. It doesnt sound like your battery is variable voltage - you can't "turn up the voltage". Therefore you will get the best "hit" and vapor production with 1.8 - 2.0. If that is too much for you then bump up to 2.2.
-
1.8 - 2.0 start there.

Yeah. I have a great reason to root for Denver, now. Thanks Sherman!

But we can have an opinion on filtering, right? The OP makes the statement that filtering "let's all the flavor and nicotine through". This is quite a statement since it defies physics. In my opinion it is unnecessary to filter vapor and the filtering of vapor cannot be done without removing particulates that contribute to flavor or restricting the transfer of nicotine.

Flush with what? You don't mean the holes do you?

Hey Rob, I don't know of any juice that doesn't "age" and turn brown, especially after cooking on your atomizer too. The flavorings contain compounds that caramelize on the wicks and coils.

That is awesome! My wife and I quit the same day and we are so pleased about it to this day. Our 1 year stinky free anninversary is just around the corner. It has been one of our greatest endeavours and we still are pleased beyond our wildest dreams. We look back and laugh at how we ever survived as smokers. There is something about knowing we will never smoke again that is so liberating.

The chargers are different!!! Dont use the 510 charger (blu) for ego batteries! Fortunately sounds like you have a genuine joye battery with circuit protection so your battery is prrobably ok. Charger not so much. I suggest tossing the charger out and get standard ego charger ( $5) -
I remember destroying a couple before I figured it out!

As I recall, the wire, instead of a coil is more like a loop that runs from the bottom of the cart to the top and then back down. The filler is wrapped around it like a cylinder . If you are not careful, when you try to pull the filler you can tear out the wire. The filler is like a pad rolled in to a tube. It has an edge, or slice that you have to line up with the wire to remove. Sorry, I'm struggling to describe it correctly, lol

My Joyetech batteries are 9 months old and going strong (knock on wood) they have been in rotation with other batteries though too.

Welcome. Works for me. I like to mix some juices now and again so I test 'em out.
-
I have a little stash of a few 510 bridgeless atomizers i use. I try to keep "like" flavors in one atomizer. Seems to work pretty well
-
That's interesting. 9 months in and my top 5 flavors are all from different places. One of them was a find at a local b & m 7 or 8 monnths ago. It's also interesting that my ADV are not knock your socks off flavors. I have some flavors that are amazing and what I would call "better" juices but I just cann 't vape them all day. My all dayers just have a subtle, pleasant taste that cruises along, never gets old but not as remarkable as maybe some others that tend to cloy on me after a couple dozen vapes.

Niners love it when its loud and they are underdogs. been a haul for them not being at home. They could take it.

Alright! Way to go!

Yes, but impotant wicks are positioned properly.

Try reseating the coil head stem to the coil head base Remove the coil head. The stem is press fit onto the bottom. There is a flange at the bottom of the stem. Rock it apart gently. You will now see the coil exposed in the coil head base. You will see a wick going thru the center of the coil and then another wick just laying over the top of the coil. Adjust it so flavor wick is riding over the top of the coil. Reseat the stem making sure it snaps to base trapping wicks. Check that the bottom pin is not crushed in. Reseat coil head firmly in to base.

Lost on what to do next. (Tank/Rebuildable)

No, you want the coil to seal tightly to the base. Tightly
