The lightsaber!

The vape he is getting in the TW video is very weak, imo. I wonder if it comes in LR? I want to get ahold of these, http://www.royalsmokers.com/Clearomizer.html, in both the low ohms for my ego and the high ohms for my Joker. Has anybody seen/used these ce2 clearomizers? I have seen reviews on YouTube where someone is using a LR clearomizer on an ego device. Looks sweet and would put an end to the burn in the cartos you can get when the wicking material gets to dry.

Isn't this the same tank system totally wicked is promoting? http://networkedblogs.com/c5T2d?ref=nf

Brian, Thanks for the reply. I used my multimeter and got readings between 2.0 and 3.4 for most of the cartos (old and new). All of the cartos produced the same result as before, with the blue diamond of death arriving before shutting off. I switched batteries and the same result. Put a brand new carto on, didn't even fire. Put the same carto on my Ego, no probs just not 5v vape quality. Tried probably 12 different cartos to no avail. The only thing working now on the Joker is the high res atty w/drip tip (the flavor and vapor are not as good as when the cartos were hitting). Looks like I'm going to have to contact Vaprlife. Thanks again for the input.

I've had my Joker since July (or something like that) and have been using the same cartomizers on it since day one. Last week it started acting up and I thought it might be because of the carto. I put a new carto on and it worked again for 2 days before it began to have a conniption fit again when I refilled the carto. Again, I figured carto problem. 6 cartos later and the device continues to act up. It will gradually go from green to blue on the first drag. Quicker to blue on the second drag. Finally it goes immediately to blue by the third drag and won't run at all after that. Now when I put a standard high res atty on it, with a drip tip, it runs fine. However, the flavor on a high res atty is not nearly that of the cartos. I have new cartos on the way, but I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and if it might be worth contacting vaprlife about it. Any tricks, tips, helpful hints would be appreciated.

Hodge, I think it depends what voltage you are vaping at. At 3.7v the LR atties w/a drip tip are the ticket and cartos cannot compete. You can't use LR at 5v and I find that cartos at 5v are the best, easiest, efficient and cost effective. I use 510 Janty/Joye LR w/my ego and cartos w/Joker. When I put cartos on my Ego, there really is no comparison to a LR atty. LR cranks out the vapor, flavor and the atty lasts significantly longer. If you're at 3.7v the LR atty is the way to go.

My Joker arrived today and I cannot emphasize how happy I am with this product! The VT service was awesome again, as always. Thank you Chris. Now, I have a few questions: 1. Batteries, when they are charging, how long do they take to charge? 2. Does the light indicator change when they are fully charged? 3. What has been your experience with the battery life? The vapor production and flavor with the Joker are both excellent. The draw is very short compared to a 3.7v device (Ego). I have been using both cartomizers and old atty/cart system. Both methods work very well except when I overfill a carto. The Joker brings the heat and an overfilled carto does not do well with that much heat. I'm still on the learning curve with cartos. As always, any help is appreciated. Any tips or trick you might have would be great. Thanks, Brian 122607.wmv 122607.wmv

Congrats Ouster! This will either curb your "Out of Control", from the other thread, or open up a whole new world of vaping for you. Enjoy the Joker! Brian

Chris, Your customer service is impeccable! I placed my order for VT Tobacco and cartomizers late Thursday night and I am vaping with them Monday morning before 11:00! Yes, I had to vape before posting and it was worth it. The cartomizers on the Ego are excellent, good vapor and great flavor on the VT Tobacco. I am vaping a LR atty, a BE 510 and a cartomizer for comparison. Perhaps I will do a brief video review of all 3 in the near future. All I can say is the cartos are the way to go if you are on the go. Filling and refilling is easy. This is a product that is well worth the investment and the service from VT is equally as excellent. Thanks again, Brian

The smoker's Polident idea, suggested at the end of that thread, sounds safer to me. The Heat N Clean, popcorn machine cleaner, sounds great for cleaning and not so great for inhaling.

Question 510 Cartomizers W/ego/tornado Vs. Low Res Attys
osubckys replied to osubckys's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I like the LR atty but it isn't a tremendous difference over the BE510s or regular 510 atty. The vapor is slightly thicker and warmer with the LR. Halo flavor is good with both. I was going to try the cartos because of ease of use. Vape on the cartos looks good on all the vids I've seen, both 5V and 3.7V. I was just curious as to what to expect on the time to refill and the lifespan. Either way, I'm ordering some in the near future. I also want to try them because my buddy and his wife are on the vape now and she's not into the whole refill the cartridges game. Thanks for the heads up Chris. -
Chris, Is that true for all 5V units, absolutely no low res atty? I thought Damulta was running a LR atty on the Phidius Woodimus and that is 5V.
-
Now that I am certain that the 510 cartomizers work with the Ego/Tornado and they can be refilled rather easily, I am interested in knowing if anyone has done a comparison between the 510 cartomizers and the low res attys on the Ego/Tornado? Also, what are the opinions on the flavors in the cartomizers at the 3.7 of the Ego/Tornado? I'm going to get some but I am solid on the low res attys w/Halo Torque both w/the blue foam mod and direct drip right now. However, refilling when driving can be a pain at times (during a turn). I was wondering how long a full cartomizer would last? Thanks for the heads up in advance.

Electronic Cigarette Sales Banned In New York
osubckys replied to Christopher's topic in General Vape News
I will preface this by stating that I do not live in or purchase from NY state. With that said, I am beyond disappointed and in complete disbelief that a room full of public representatives, whom are supposedly extremely well educated, would base a decision on something such as this on misrepresented lies manipulated to promote continued greed for taxpayer dollars. Do not be fooled by the way this vote was conducted. If the possibility of generating new tax revenues for NY would have been presented as a counterpoint to Linda B. Rosenthal's position, the nay votes would have been swayed quite easily. I also cannot believe that there was no comparison done to examine the legal position of state of CA and their handling of electronic cigarettes (personal vaporizers). Ms./Mrs. (I don't care) Rosenthal, please show me some data, some facts, SOMETHING!!! I do not support the kiosk sales and would never condone sales to minors either. However, I would not speak so freely without evidence to provide as to the contents or health ramifications of personal vaporizers. Congratulations to the elected sheep of NY for voting without any knowledge at all. It would seem to me that vapors will have to take up the fight to the FDA to produce factual data regarding personal vaporizers. I have no problem regulating them for purchase and consumption by adults only. Make them available through the same means as other regulated products, such as pharmaceuticals, tobacco, alcohol, etc. To stand there and say people are becoming addicted to cancer causing anti-freeze and promoting sales to children is ridiculous. Without any knowledge of the topic, most people in their right mind would vote against that (I would hope). Although she left the door open for NY to revoke the ban pending FDA approval, we all know without generating tax dollars for NY there is little or no chance of this ever happening. We also know that if the federal government does not generate tax revenue from these products, the position of the FDA will not change. If these so called protectors of the public gave a damn they would go after big tobacco first, and I don't mean let people smoke outside as long as we get our tax revenue from them killing themselves. Cigarettes in NY at $10 a pack generate a substantial amount of money for the state. Ms./Mrs. Rosenthal's position is clear, "WE ONLY CARE ABOUT SAVING LIVES IF WE ARE NOT GETTING ANY MONEY FOR IT!" I only hope we as a collective do not take this action lightly or quietly. They are supposed to work for us. I can only pray that other states will not be so foolish and so greedy as to make uninformed decisions with the impact that I fear we will witness in NY. If and when the ridiculous happens, I will continue to vape, with or without nic, on store bought vg, flavoring and mods, because I'm damn sure never going to buy another cigarette again. Thank you, Brian T. Cotterman -
I'm certainly leaning towards the "taste buds" in combination with the residue in the attys. The juice never sees light or temps in excess. It is about 3 months old (I bought several bottles). However, when I put the new juice into a new atty, it was happiness again. This leads me down the "I must have new attys and new juice always" dilemma. Then the cleaned attys began to bounce back. I also find that mixing plays a huge role in flavor. I am now measuring more scientifically, rather than just "hey that looks about right". I found that improper measurement can ruin the entire batch, which sucks because I have to go through the spend, order and wait process again. ALWAYS BUY ENOUGH JUICE AND SPARE ATTYS!!! Taste buds are a huge factor and when you find the "latest, greatest" flavor everything else seems inadequate for several days. I've been at this long enough to know, but the Harley 56 is excellent. Thanks for all of your input!

I have been vaping with both my 510 and my Ego and using Marlboro and RY4 as daily vapes. Recently I received my bottle of Harley 56 by Halo and, like a kid on Christmas, began vaping it immediately. It is the best liquid I have had to date. However, when I went back to my other liquids they taste TERRIBLE . I cleaned some of my attys, put on new attys and tried again with the same result. This leads me to the question: Does e juice go stale, bad or does freshness have an effect on taste? I have been vaping for 6 months and I had never encountered this problem before. Thanks in advance.

I haven't tried this yet, but my buddy uses white vinegar to clean his coffee pot and just drops his 510 attys in there and heats it up. After 10 minutes or so, he's done cleaning both and rinses out the attys with hot water. Then he lets them dry on a paper towel over the heating vent. Like I said, I have not personally tried this but I am going to. I have used the Coca Cola method and, either I'm doing it wrong or, it has been very disappointing. Happy Vaping.

I haven't had any problems with the juice on the plane. I only carry a small 10ml bottle for daily refill, so I'm under the limit of 3oz bottles for the flight. You shouldn't have a problem there. I haven't had TSA question my pcc or 510, but I wondered if anyone had ever taken a mod and had it questioned. For example, would they question my Ego? Having TSA confiscate a $20 510 vs. an $80 Ego are 2 different issues. I would not want to be the person who has a VP1 confiscated by TSA. I saw a video with Chris and Parkeddddd at Niagra Falls with the Joker. If a mod was going to be confiscated by TSA, I would think that would have been. So I am assuming no issues. Unless they drove from the US across, but they still had to fly from CA and TX. Perhaps the best is to just put the mods in the carry-on and use the 510 for the flight?

Welcome! I'm in Ohio and the state has been smoke free indoors for several years now. Bars and bowling alleys have taken a beating in lost revenues because of the new laws. However, with increased exposure pvs have been well accepted throughout the state. I always introduce myself and my vape to the management and explain that it is vapor. I do this to prevent somebody across the room firing up a Marlboro red then pointing to me with the proverbial, "But he's smoking." The ensuing backlash would be ridiculous. Once you have permission and start vaping, be prepared to stop whatever you are doing and do a complete dog and pony show for the entire bar or restaurant. I was at BWs playing QB1 when I vaped and I missed the entire first half of the game! Every customer and server in the building had to see it. I even put a few new carts on my spares and let them take test drives. I let them try the 510 because I'm not letting anyone test drive my Ego yet. I find that if you let the manager and your server know and you have permission, you're good to go. Just be ready. Oh and on stealth vaping, I've only done that on airplanes and in the airport for long flights. Out of curiosity, has anyone had any issues with the TSA and your pv through the checkpoints? Happy Vaping!
