Out of the six protanks I own, I have one that acts up similar to what you stated above, I thinks it's a manufacturing flaw, seems threads aren't milled correctly, and gives same wacky readouts or NO Atomizer flash on my evic, buts works on egobatts or my Tesla fine. I plan on returning it! But the other if five work stellar....

Sounds like a stuck automatic, if your unit starts when you inhale (without pressing a button) its a auto unit, and they can go bad. A buddy of mine has one and will start up if you turn the stereo up!! Most here use manuals, press a button and inhale..... Start with a quality unit, bounce around the forum and you will find many choices, and lots of advice!

Better buy two, so you can get thru a half a day...
