Yep but can be fun, the only way I could get the wife camping was to buy a tent that fit in the bed of my truck,so she was off the ground! We have traveled all over exploring hot springs both wild and captive (commercial) Once we spent ten days in the middle of nowhere Nevada, in November,near a hot spring well, that flowed into large metal tubs, and several other springs nearby....,very little electric, batteries and solar, only saw wild burros and pigs for a week, but still just car camping some would say.

Back in the day. Multi-day backpacking trips, all in the western US. Star filled nights near a hot spring. But my old bones won't take it anymore, and the knees are shot, awaiting replacements ...

I use a lanyard on ego sticks, but glass apps make them wobble top heavy. In the truck I have one of those cup holder inserts you find at auto parts stores, they have holes for pens and a cellphone, or ego sticks or a APV fit well after a few uses.
