  1. Hi and welcome, For a 3 pc.unit I believe the Joye 510 is the most popular, you can find a great deal on a kit here www.cignot.com They have refill juice in many formulas also. For a simpler 2 pc.kit you could try www.vaporkings.com for the KR808D-1.He has refillable cartos and juice as well. If you'd like to combine the 2 some vendors now have 510 cartos for the 510 batts. Some of the members here, including myself, have been enjoying the ease of use and long lasting(all day for lighter vapers)510 cartos. liquidexpress.com,dietsmokes.com and vaporkings.com are 3 that I can think of right away. Sorry if this didn't help to narrow it down for you,but a lot depends on how you smoke and what preferences you have. Some folks like to just drag on the auto batts. to get a puff and some want the control of a pushbutton type.If you like to tinker and fiddle with your toys, then you would probably want a 3pc. like the 510 with carts, atty and batts.to play with.If you want a simpler design then go with 510 and cartomizers or the KR808D-1 with their cartomiizers.Any of these can be refilled with the juice of your choice if you're inclined,or just replace the cartos with new prefilled if you don't mind the extra expense. For me personally at the moment I like haveing the 510 manual battery type so that I can switch back and forth from cartomizers to atomizers and cartridges depending on the situation and mood:) The real experts will be here soon to give you more help,I just wanted to get you thinking about what may suit your needs.
  2. You can get a pre-paid debit card, that way you only put money on it as you use it. No worries about someone else spending your cash. I use the Wal-Mart type.they have 2,1 that you load and use once, and 1 that you keep and load as you need it.
  3. Thanks Christopher, It's so easy to get info here I never even thought of going to the source Just call me **** Tracey I guess. ha ha it even blocks out the nickname for Richard
  4. Now that I see how well the 510 cartos are working this is all just for the heck of it. I dipped the caps into hot water to melt the glue then used a small screw to pull the caps off. Then I heated a nail to make a hole in the top of the inner carts, now I can use the small screw to pull the carts out for refilling/changing flavors by taking the stuffing out and rinsing, or I can just drip slowly into the melted hole:) I had to use a dremel with a cutting wheel on the threaded end to increase air flow enough to keep from getting juiced. This is because I'm not using the OEM batts. I'm using a 905 with adapters:901 to 510 then 510 to 901/808d.These are the small adapters from madvapes and only add ~.5 inch to the total length. The greencigs hold close to the same amount of juice as the 510's but the warmth and TH aren't even close with the same juice used in both on the same PV. The good news is these have never had a burn issue reported that I can find and seem to last for weeks.I plan to use these as backups and flavor samplers since they are easy to refill(now). The up side of all this goofin' around is that Colada and Grape Soda taste even better in these than a 901 atty.So I have to say the half hour of tinkerin I put into the 5 of them has been worth it for the flavors just not an all day vape:) As always this is just MHO and YMMV ooops sorry I just realized this should have been in the mods section. My bad, again
  5. If any of you have the time and inclination I'd like to know the length and width of the VYPR PV please and thank you.
  6. Yep that's the way it works out for me on both my 901 and 510 atty's.I usually just put 2 drops to keep from flooding, and take about 6-7 ~5 second drags.Flavor is pretty much gone by then,so 2 more drops etc. I've just this week started on 510 cartos and so far they're great. My wife and I are still on our 1st ones each.I've been refilling mine once daily and got a syringe so I could measure the juice.1ml per fill If I were using cartos only it would be ~1.5 fills per day.I've only filled hers 2 times this week since she's a casual vaper. If the rest of the pack lasts this long with no burn issues I'll be a convert for sure.I'm gonna sacrifice each carto after a week of use to check the insides, unless they taste burnt sooner. Sorry to get off track, the more experienced users will chime in shortly on the atty issue.
  7. Hi Resa, I know what you mean about the low nic juice,I had to get some for my redneck 5v. I don't have the tornEgo (yet)but I did read that if the cartos are too low for you you can use the charger extender with the carto to make it a bit taller congrats and good luck, and keep us posted on how well it works for ya Since terijo has went mum on us
  8. Thanks Dave, You do know we'll be looking forward to a comparison from you right? It will really help since 510 cartos are so new to hear from someone else who's used both.I'm on my second fill with my 1st carto and it seems like vapor production has fallen off slightly.maybe it's just not as full this time since I didn't measure, just dripped till the poly looked juicy:) Missy or Mhint100 on u tube did a review of a pcc that will hold 1 assembled PV while charging a batt. plus hold 4 carts,Don't remember the brand or style of e-cig but I'm going to look for it now.Shouldn't be to hard to mod it to make 510's fit and it's smooth plastic looking instead of sharp cornered metal. If I find a link I'll edit and post it here: OK it's the m702 pcc and I could only find it on some china sites.Looks like it may be too much trouble to mod for 510's cause it's got lights and meters plus it would probably be too short(I don't know how big an m702 is but she compared it to an m401)the case is only a few mm taller and no wider or thicker than a marlboro pack.Sorry for the false lead yall
  9. Yeah I hope they last for weeks but If I can get 3-5 refills before they start to burn I'll be happy. The burn issue was what kept me from getting kr8's to start with, well that and the inconsistancy that so many on other forums mentioned.Checking for that burning is why I wanted an easy way to get the caps off.The hot water dip works great. Plus I have refill options too. Don't forget to report back on how the 801 at 5v works for ya,I haven't tried the 801's yet and I've got my eye on an e-cigar next.
  10. Ordered a 5pack of Greencig cartos from nhaler and a 5pack of 510 cartos from VaporKings on thurs.night, both got here, today very good service I think. I'm very disappointed in the Greencigs, not much vapor or flavor(vanilla)and I got juiced right away.Tried modding a carto with a 901 flat tip but still got juice in my mouth (blehch) the other 4 unmodded got me too so maybe I'm doing something wrong or maybe they don't like being on a 905 with adapter (?). The 510 cartos on the other hand had great plumes of vapor and lots of flavor (too bad I didn't like the usa mix 24mg) Now to those who haven't tried it yet, dipping the mouth piece in boiling water for a few seconds(20-30)makes the caps come off really easy.I'm going to refill 1 with some Dulcis to see how long it lasts and how many refills I can get out of it. My wife likes the prefilled juice ok so 1 carto should last her for days since she's mostly a casual vaper. By the way for those who were waiting, I checked vaporkings tonight and they have the blank 510 cartos back in stock and they said they're the ones with a soft rubber easily removeable mouthpiece, just my luck,I'm too impatient Anyway I think I'm gonna like the 510's especially if they have the longevity I'm hoping for.As for the greencigs maybe I'll order a kr8 batt. to see if I have better luck with them that way. I've got plenty of juice flavors to play with and I'll be starting trainig for the enumerator job with the census next week (my cushy QAC position ended today ) So maybe I can stock up on my everyday vape juice and get some more toys too. I HOPE I HOPE I HOPE:)
  11. Way to go Brandon, Feels good doesn't it? +1 from me also
  12. Hi guys I haven't tried this myself(yet)but I've read that if you dip the mouthpiece end of the cartos in boiling water for a few secs.the hard plastic cap will pop right off. Apparently it melts the glue just enough.I'll find out next week for sure since I plan to order some of these 510 cartos later this afternoon.
  13. Oh Yeah, got my VT juices. Ordered on the 2nd late at night received on the 7th,not bad for cross country and over a weekend:thumbsup: The Dulcis is much much better than the cheap stuff I had,I think it will be a nice evening vape. The Grape Soda is sweet like a nice wine but not overdone, and the Colada WOW I'm lovin it.This could be an all day vape occasionally or a nice sweet dessert type vape.I'll definitely be getting more VT juice when Chris's new Miracle arrives and he has time to get back to work. oops just realized this should probably go in the review section,But which one? suppliers or juice?
  14. Dang it Uma,I'm really sorry.I hijacked your thread and didn't realize it until tonight. My apologies to you! As for the 14500 batts I get 1-2 days of use,but I have a few analogs and evenings I use the redneck 5v in between.Charging usually takes ~4 hrs.
  15. So how do you like the VYPR-510? Is it a small light comfy unit? I got the 905 cause I didn't want a big PV
  16. Nice, congrats,Let us know how the cartos work out. I really want to try these but the burn issue is holding me back. I love the look and small size of the TorneGo,but can't justify it for myself due to the high cost of batt.replacements.I've been using the DSE905 for several weeks and I like it so far.The cost of 14500's is only $5-8 bucks + shipping and the chargers are about the same price.I'm thinking if the 905 fails I might replace it with a VYPR,little brother to the VP2,they seem to be good quality mods. So far I'm still using the original atty and batt's. on the 905 with good results,so it may be awhile before I swap to something else. Also my redneck 5V is still going strong so I've got a bit of variety
  17. I'm stoked, just ordered 3 flavors from VT 1 Dulcis 2 Grape Soda 3 Colada I'm a bit nervous about the Dulcis, the only RY4 type I've tried was a cheap $4.25 10 ml bottle that smelled like a combo of harsh chemicals and beer (and I'm allergic to beer) it was so bad I couldn't vape it at all.I've went back to it a few times after spending time with other juice but it's always the same. The good news is I know someone who thought it was o.k. so if the Dulcis doesn't suit my taste I've got someone to share it with. Now the hard part,I gotta wait for my order to make a cross country trip Yall wish me luck and patience.
  18. Hi cro, didja checkout the link in jeffb's post? does this look like what you have? try doin a search for the m series and see if they match yours(probly the m 401) If they don't match we may need a pic or more info to help scope it out for ya Welcome to Vapor Talk and keep us up to date
  19. Sorry Jaysee,I don't have a camera, and probly couldn't figger it out ifn I did just picture a little white plastic body with black tape and a cord at one end and an atty stickin out of the reflector
  20. O.K. Sunday I got really bored and started going thru some old boxes of junk. I came across a box full of cords and power supplies for old games and cell phones etc.. Guess what? some of these things ran on 5 volts Now the the old rarely used cells started firin as I toked on my 905 hmmmm everybody keeps sayin that 5v is the sweet spot for vapin. Since I just can't resist tinkerin sometimes I grabbed my 4081 atty and a madvapes freebie 1AAA flashlight took the reflector off removed the bulb and bored out the the reflector so the 4081 atty would fit.So far so good. Then I grabbed a #2 pencil(unsharpened)and cut off ~10mm of the end to be AAA length. But now it's not big enough around hmmm, DUCT TAPE :punk:Wrap it with a bit of thin cardboard then duc it. Get a big thumb tack for the -end to touch the spring in the bottom,a small nail in the +end to touch just the inner hot post of the atty.Bored out the small hole in the bottom of the flashlight where the keychain connctor goes to run the wire thru and tied them to the nail and thumbtack.Plug in the powercord for a test and SWEET!!Just wrap the cord and body with a bit of electrical tape to keep things in place and start 5V 2A vapin Still might need to Solder the atty in cause it's a tiny bit loose but I been tokin on this since Sun.night and so far I'm lovin it.Just gotta get me some lower nic juice now cause this is too fun and I'm gettin buzzed. Just had to tell yall, cause this was fun and seriously cheap,"just the way I like it"

    Q #1

Hi and welcome to Vapor Talk, I don't know what a "choice" e-cig is so I'll ask if you drained the atty before use? The primer fluid these things come from the factory with is kinda RANK !! If it isn't the primer fluid then I would suspect the juice.Do you use prefilled carts or are you using e-juice to fill carts or drip? Some folks have reported similar problems using PG juice,it's kind of an allergic reaction. VG can also cause this in a lesser # of people. You may have to experiment with different juice blends to see what works for you. Check for vendors that offer 3 or 5 ml samples so you can find what works best for you with out to much wasted.Even better if you have friends or family to share with, then yall can trade up O.K. we're hunkered down waitin fer incoming,go ahead and toss some more Q's. Lotsa great folks around here so prepare for a bunch of good A's in return
  23. Sounds good to me I'd like to be in on it. Might be a problem for me though as I use a prepaid CC.
  24. Thanks Raven, yep I been doin the tooth scrapin tongue brushin thang, and the nose exhale while takin a 2nd drag as well. sure hope it's just a phase but either way I aint givin up! I just replied to your other post but I'll say it again anyway WELCOME to VT
  25. I've been using a DSE905 with a 901 atty for ~a month now. I drip at home and use a cart with the PTB made easy mod while I'm out. It's been working great until this afternoon.I switch between Pina Colada from madvapes and 555 from myvaporstore.Only probs till now was some minor leakage. All of a sudden I'm getting no taste from either one and if I "hotbox"to try to get some flavor I get a thick vapor but it kinda hurts my upper lungs,WTF?It's not really bad but it's noticeable. The atty still gets warm and there's plenty of vapor but no taste and then I get the uncomfortable feeling in my lungs. Am I vaping too much? Is my atty dying? Or is this a phase that my taste buds are going thru? I started on disposable 510's then got a 4081 but my wife has the 510 and my 4081 has been sitting for a while so probly dead batts.Haven't checked yet. I'll try the other PV's tomorrow but in the mean time any ideas or advice? I do have 1 other new 901 atty to try also but I'm draining the primer junk out of it tonight so that will have to wait til tomorrow also. Any insights from you folks would be appreciated! P.S. I forgot to mention that I mixed the Pina Colada with some Marbro and noticed tonight that the juice has kind of a beer smell to it. The juices are all 24mg
