Fantastic collection McQuinn! I love the simplicity of the boxes, but I think that copper pipe mod is super sexy. Do you have any construction photos, details, blog entries, etc? I'd like to see how you did it and also know where you got the battery spring. Also, could you let us know how it handles and performs once you get your battery? My thoughts exactly. But I wonder about atomizers and liquid. I suppose somehow they could be picked up from the black-market, but there are tons of issues with that. Thanks McQuinn, this is an inspiration. Perhaps one day I'll give that copper pipe a shot if you have success with it.

I agree with that too. The only exception I've found is the Essence (clove, b/c I've not tried any others yet; though a few more are on their way to me). Despite the very strong flavor, it was easy to vape the flavor out completely like a generic Dekang juice. We'll see if the others are like this.

Omg, so much info... Well, I ordered some blank 808 cartos from ELiquidPlanet today (along with some more juices), so now all I need is that 510 to 901 adapter right Brian? Gosh I sure hope so. But that means finding something else to order along with the adapter to justify the shipping.... I'm sure I can come up with something

Tektronik, if I'm understanding all this stuff (which is doubtful) you *may* be ready to use cartomizers on your VP2. I don't have a VP2 of course, but looking at VaprLife's website, looks like it comes standard with an 801 thread, and you already have an 801 to 901 adapter, and according to madvape's website, the 501 adapter that I'm after is a 501 to 901/808 cartomizer adapter (which suggests the 901 and 808 share the same thread pitch). So in theory, with your 801 to 901 you should be good. Anyone else care to verify? Well for some reason I can't edit my above post. No biggie. Actually the protection circuit is based off the output voltage rather than amperage, which makes sense I suppose. A little digging found the following: Advertised voltage cutoff: 2.75 User-Tested cutoffs: 3.1 to 3.17 (much higher than advertised) I couldn't find any discharge graphs that tested discharge voltage over a load of 1.5amps, and I'm guessing max power output for that 8 watt atty at the max voltage of 4.2v would be 1.9amps. I'm sure a 14500 battery could handle that much current without having so much of a voltage depression that it dips down to 3.1 and trips the PCB. If I'm accurate with Ohm's law, we're looking at a resistance of about 2.2ohms at the max 4.2v. Not actually as low as I would have guessed. But that's just derived and not advertised or tested, so who knows.

Thanks for the reply Chris. Yes, I'd like to use cartomizers with my 510 batteries b/c that's all I have (besides some 14500s). I heard the new 510 cartomizers don't hold much liquid, so you have to top off or just switch them out more than the other cartos that are available (plus I'm hoping to actually refill them a couple times before throwing them away, and that chewy paper shell on the outside of th 510 carto doesn't look liquid-friendly). That's why I was trying to wrap my head around the adapter terminologies.

I really love it, and look forward to hearing more about the safety feature you mentioned. I do however feel compelled to ask if you plan on phasing out the VP PT and the Spade. The VP PT has been out of stock for quite some time, and more recently the spade. If the joker turns out to be everything you've hoped, I can see the point of making it your base for a future passthrough, etc etc. Just curious, b/c I'm really craving a good quality passthrough lately. Again, fantastic looking device!

Okay, so I'm trying to plan ahead for my wife since it looks like she's good with the Essence line of liquid from ELiquidPlanet. Unlike me, she works away from home, has an hour long commute both ways, and is in class for 4hrs a day 3 days a week. Needless to say, dripping may be a bit of a challenge for her. So I'm thinking cartomizers would be her best bet. But I'm totally confused on the connection terminology. I know that there are some brand new 510 cartos that just came out, and while first impressions of flavor and TH are good, it seems that since they're much smaller than regular cartos they really don't last very long. So I was thinking of going the adapter route, since I've already got five 510 batteries to give her. But what am I adapting to? Is a carto an 808 A 901? I just can't tell. NHaler has a "510 to cartomizer" adapter, but I don't know what numbered connection that is and what carto connection i should shop for when it comes time to get the actual carts. Any ideas?

Congrats Scott! That's great news! Honestly I can't say how much I've been averaging b/c I've got 27 bottles i'm sitting on here, and switch around between them constantly. I think that's b/c I haven't found my 'all day vape' yet, and since i'm not stuck in an office away from home, i can have all this junk piled up all around me. I've heard from other folks anywhere from 1 to 5 mils a day once someone is nice and set into their new lifestyle.

Hey Dave, thanks for taking the plunge there sir. I had the same question. I've seen and heard of 'high volt' attys, but not this one that's meant for extra power on low volt applications. I suppose somehow the resistance is lowered to where it draws more amperage. I've tested only 2 of my attys with my multimeter. One that was quite broken in measured about 2.7ohms and the other one (brand new) was about 3.3. I'm really curious to know how these newer high volt attys measure up in this regard, and how their performance measures up as well. So you got the last one? Or you mean you're having to wait 1-2 weeks too? EDIT: I'm curious to know if this new atty pulling extra amerpage would trip a protected battery's safety circuit? I'll try to find some more info in regards to the specifics of the trustfire PCBs; specifically the 14500.

And a few I even listened to more than once (episode 14 included, my personal favorite... "What's happening?!?!" - my favorite quote to date).

My vote is for GSP. I say this with anguish and regret, b/c I just really don't like the guy. I can't really explain *why* I don't like him, but I just don't. It doesn't make sense really, b/c let's face it, he's honestly THE best athlete in MMA. Besides that, he's a fantastic figher And really, there is a difference between the two. But he marries them wonderfully. I always root against the guy, and I'm always handed my *** b/c of it. The wife loves him. More so than even Tank Abbot and Frank Shamrock combined. So yeah, I think he's going to own it.
