ECF has a rather good one of these threads, where someone posts something they don't want, and in the next post down the person says "I'll take that" and posts something else they don't want, so its a give and take. I would suggest opening up one of these on VT but ECF has literally thousands of active users which makes it a little easier. But everyone on VT is 1000x friendlier than those on ECF!!

actor92191 got a reaction from mastiffmom in E-Cig Intro Demo, Fox Style!
So it took about 6 to 7 hours to create this intro. It's basically a copy of the 20th Century Fox intro, E-cig style!! Give me some feedback on it and let me know if you want a custom one for your reviews!!! The only problem I have is I can't seem to fix the little flicker in the light that shines in front of the words.

I agree. I don't really see juice drying up soon but I do see it regulated and taxed. Which really means we will just have to pay more to fuel our habit.
Personally, I am not really trying to cut my addiction, but am looking for something safer. And if the costs rise I won't be happy but will probably pay it.
I am not totally against regulation though, you want things you order to be somewhat safe. Personally I think they should legalize and tax pot.
A heck of a lot safer than smokes, not into it but I can at least see that
Have some juice on hand and will order more, not because I think it won't be available but I do think costs will rise
I comend suppliers like VT that are at least doing what they can to label juice snd package in child proof caps
Perception will carry a lot when the FDA decides on who to go after.

actor92191 reacted to Burn in Fears Of What Is Ahead
IMHO, a "bomb shelter" would contain what you calculate to be your consumption for 2 years. (liquid nicotine is widely reported to last for 2 years under the right conditions). To give an example of my calculation, I will use my consumption and others can just plug in their info.
FOR DIY:
Amount of Juice consumed in a day: (this is a tad high but higher is better) 4ML
Strength of Juice: 12 MG
Amount of unflavored 100MG nicotine to make 10 ML at 12MG strength: 1.2ML
note: 10 ML makes the division easy if you prefer different strengths of juice, just multiply strength by .10 so 24 MG would be 2.4ML, 18MG would be 1.7 and 6MG would be .06
Amount of Flavoring for 10 ML juice: (25%, you may like it stronger/weaker)2ML
Amount of PG/VG for 10 ML: 7ML
note: If you change the amount of flavoring of nic juice, make sure that you adjut the VG/PG level so that it totals 10ML.
There are 712 days in a two year range
I use 4ML per day, I would consume 2,848 ML of juice in a 2 year period.
2848 divided by 10ML bottles that I make means that I would need to create 285 10 ML bottles to last me 2 years.
285 is now the factor I use against the items in bold, I listed above
So I would need
342 ML of Unflavored Nicotine juice
570 ML of Flavoring
1995 ML of PG (2.0 liters)
I buy my nic juice and PG/VG from My FreedoM Smokes
Here is the price for my bomb shelter, this is without the 15% discount they offered for last weekend.
$158 for 375ML of 100MG unflavored nicotine base
$70.00 for 2.0 Liters of PG
$140 For flavoring, I will show Flavour art, which you can get for $150.00 for 600 ML from e-cig express
Total cost for 2 years of juice: $368 ($.01295 per ML)
When you consider that this is 6 cartons of cigarettes, $368 is not really that much money at all. Usually, the best price for mixed e-juice is in the area of $.50 per ML. Also consider that you will not pay shipping at either of the vendors listed above for this order. This would mean that premixed juice would cost about $1424.00 if you bought it premixed.
Bottles (which you can reuse the ones you have now) syringes and plastic gloves for DIY is really trivial, you can get all for $10 or under.
Presuming you have the devices to vape with (and appropriate backups) your bomb shelter is almost complete. Find a cool, dark and dry place to store your goods and you should be set for 2 years.
Sorry for the mammoth post but I think many people would be interested to see what a 2 year supply cost could look like if you DIY ($368) or buy premixed at $.50 per ML ($1424.00)

actor92191 got a reaction from Phaseman66 in Intense Cravings For Tobacco Cigs?
The transition can be very hard, but the best thing to do when you have the cravings is to vape until the cravings pass, even if you need to vape for 20 minutes. You'll be surprised to see how vaping can really satisfy the craving! If the cravings are really really strong, I would recommend using higher nicotine juice, like 24mg. That will also help kick the cravings.
Good Luck!
One other thing, cigarette cravings are not only from nicotine, but are also psychological. You need to convince yourself that vaping IS smoking! Don't think of it as a "replacement" or an "alternative," just think of it as a different brand of cigarettes! Try to vape in the same routine as you would smoke. In other words, vape when your used to smoking. Think of it this way, your trying to trick your psychological/nicotine cravings into thinking that nothing has changed from the transition from cigarettes to e-cigs.
Hope this helps!

actor92191 got a reaction from luck in Joker 2 Already?
you know... something held me back from getting the Joker, maybe it was because I already had a device that took the exact same batteries, minus the LED and "protection unit" (which is unnecessary because Tenergy batteries have a really good protection in them).
All of a sudden this "variable voltage" concept comes out and everyone drops everything!
I see buying PV's a lot like buying any other technology: wait a few more months until something better comes out or until the price drops for what you want!

actor92191 reacted to Popsicle in How Appeal Is Being Created For E-Cigs
This isn't a big issue, but there is certainly a quiet buzz about it, and I find it very interesting. Sorry if this thread has been done before. I didn't see it.
For MANY years, cigarette companies have used various types of imagery to associate cigarettes with what people want to be. A rugged cowboy smoking may appeal to men who seek to be viewed as tough and masculine. An attractive woman seductively smoking a cigarette may hook women who are after a sort of edgy and dangerous beauty. Since cigarettes have first been mass-produced, there has been a struggle to lock on to an audience and make them think that cigarettes are the key to their happiness.
At this point, this isn't widespread, but I see some electronic cigarette companies using the same tactics. Scantily clad women vaping, muscular shirtless men vaping. Look at the Blu site; I have heard a lot of people say that Blu won them over with the graphics displayed on their website, such as attractive people hanging out in a club, a DJ, and even a sharp-dressed man in a suit, all of them with a Blu in hand. Not trying to step on anyone's toes, but look at even the Maserati ad that has been around for a while now. The night cityscape with the cursive text conjures up images of limousines and clubs where you can't get in unless you're "on the list".
Now to get to my point...
Some people think that this is inappropriate and brings a bad image to the industry. Some of us scoff at suppliers for using these types of images in their advertising. I think that a lot of this goes back to the fact that it was originally done by our current enemies.
What do you guys think?
My opinion? The cigarette companies use this marketing tactic to lure people into a deadly addiction. Is there really anything wrong with us using it to lure people into an alternative to that addiction that is infinitely healthier for you? You also have to keep in mind, there is a stigma around electronic cigarettes. A lot of people view them as silly, frivolous, and just lame. Vapers are losers. Vapers vape because they can't handle cigarettes. It is imperative that we change this way of thinking. You never know, that photo of a girl in a bikini holding a 510 might save a life. Tacky as it may seem, we are fighting fire with fire. We can play their game, too.

I wish there was a number we could call. I prefer to express my opinion through a phone call rather than a message that will probably be deleted.
If they go through with this ban, then TRUST ME, I will find ways to get my e-cig supplies, and so will everybody else. If I can manage to get marijuana on a daily basis and other illegal drugs I shouldn't mention, I'm confident I'll get my bottles of e-liquid. Think about the old prohibition of alcohol and the current prohibition of marijuana, it's not stopping anyone from getting what they want, and it hasn't in the past! LOL I can just imagine calling my "dealer" and picking up some attys and a few bottles of liquid. But in all seriousness, these bans would move e-cig's into the underground market. We have the right to vape.
Regardless, we must do everything we can to stop this ban.
One more thing I want to add. If they go through with these bans, then more and more people will start to think that e-cigs are not effective and bad for your health. People will think that since it's "illegal" that means it has to be bad for you, because, after all, the government is always right. On top of that, I'd guess that about 80% of current vapers would not want to do anything illegal, so would have no choice but to either go cold turkey or go back to analogs. However, I'm sure that most of us veteran vapers would NEVER go to back to analogs after all the progress we've made of being smoke-free.
Here's a good question,
If, lets say, they go through with these bans, couldn't I just buy my supplies from a supplier who is from a "legal" state? If not, I might just have to stock up on e-liquid. However, I just can't imagine it being that difficult to get supplies, even if they go through with the bans. Then again, most suppliers would not want to risk their business by selling to an illegal state and lose their company.
IN A NUTSHELL,
These bans would:
-Prevent potential vapers and let them die from lung cancer
-Put some current vapers back to analogs, so we too can die of lung cancer
-Create an illegal, underground market, so anyone who keeps vaping is a criminal
-Put a lot of suppliers out of business
-Make me so very upset

actor92191 reacted to Lee in What To Buy?
The recommendation of the 510 is a good one. But don't get too hung up on whether or not it looks like an analog. I think you'll find that to be one of the least important factors if you find you enjoy vaping. In fact, if you end up like most of us, you will probably start thinking about one of the mod units pretty quickly because of extended battery life. And none of the mods looks like your Marlboro or Camel analogs.
In fact, I'll go a step further and say that once you get going, you won't even care if you get a cigarette taste when you vape. If you're getting your nicotine, you'll enjoy a variety of flavors that are available. And even better, you won't make up in the morning with your mouth tasting like a herd of camels hiked through your overnight.
Good luck with making the switch. Odds are, you will find this is a much better option than analogs.

actor92191 reacted to actor92191 in Stick V3 Question
nope I just direct drip into it. I actually tried using the cart a few times, and for reason it didn't vape too well, and the liquid stayed in the cart. In my opinion, direct dripping is probably the way to go on the 510/302 attys.
and since its rounded, it will be left on it's side, so you might wanna make sure it's nice and dry and vaped-out before setting it down. I've experienced some minor leakage problems so be careful!
