  1. Hmmm wonder how easy one could mod a tobh for bottom feeding.....
  2. There's a reason Pbusardo uses a Provari and hh357 when reviewing juice! Rock solid and will work at desired setting every single time you push the button.
  3. Blu-Ego-Vamo-SVD (cartotanks and KPT's) Evic- Provari- Provari Mini - DIY Dna30 Just built my first dna a few months ago. Vaped for over a year before building. All depends on how handy and patient you are. There is lots of small work. Soldering, hand filing etc. Then if you have the tools available. Good adjustable soldering iron, drill, drill bits from 1/8-7/8, dremel etc etc.
  4. All done! KFL Not included! Small scrape on the rear cover, not in the pain just in the finish. Had enough delays with this build just need to get it done. May buff out tho, its not in the paint just in the clearcoat.
  5. Hmmm had some small zip ties now they are missing!
  6. Third times a charm i guess. Boards all wired up, have a few odds n ends to tie up. Shrink wrap, epoxy the battery holder down etc. Sent RMA request to evolv for the two busted *** boards.
  7. Let's see ... DNA30, Provari, Provari mini, 2 custom Sigelei vv/vw, Nzonic clone, VmodXL, Evic, Rainbow Spinner. Tanks - Taifun GT x2, KFL, Russian 91%, few drippers, KPT, KPT mini's, few Ibtanked cartotanks, Bella Elegance, evods... Whole left side of my desk is DIY flavoring. Gallon of VG/pg under desk and a bunch of 1000mg nic in freezer! I'm sure I missed a bunch! hopefully I'll be a Provari mini and R91 lighter today!
  8. Ya the board looks the same. Exact same ribbon cable also.
  9. Shoot me a pm, work something out getting a chip in there for you.
  10. Correct.,which is why all the parts are interchangeable.
  11. Rip Trippers reviews the clone.. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aE8HdQhTO8s
  12. 10 extremely small solder points to put a new screen on. Evolv uses a machine to do it. I'm pretty sure they'll repair them. Just pissing me off, I'm tiring of this ****ty cradle. The cable is the weakest part of the DNA.
  13. I am so pissed off right now. Another screen snapped off. I am not touching anything for a day or two. I am abandoning the cradle and doing it the original way. I just need to modify the cradle that's epoxy'd into the enclosure currently.
  14. I'll be buying a new DNA screen here shortly since I snapped one last night! Still pissed!
  15. Scroll down a bit, they offer two 510 connections. http://www.fatdaddyvapes.com/shop.html
  16. I mention i hate the ribbon cable on the dna? Snapped the screen off. Small delay, quite irritated right now so i'm gonna put it down for the night and solder on a new board tomorrow night.
  17. All wired up! Functional test before i mount it in the enclosure. Gonna grab some dinner while i wait for the epoxy to set up a little more. Click for video goodness!!
  18. Finally able to wire it up!
  19. Primed, painted and clear coat drying as I type! We'll see how dry it is tomorrow night, might be able to finish it up!
  20. Save yourself some math! http://www.kritikalmass.net/battery-calculator/
  21. It's useable, but it has that amp limitation that you'll need to be aware of. As long as you don't go over it you'll be fine. 6.8 amps on a mech isn't much. I wouldn't go any lower then .7. On a fresh battery, assuming 4.1 volts on a .7ohm coil you're pulling 5.86amps and 24.01 watts. By changing to a .6 coil the amps jump to 6.83 and 28.02 watts.
  22. Protected means it has a small amount of circuitry that will prevent it from exceeding its limits. They do a few other things as well, overcharge, overheat protection etc. Generally you do not want a protected battery in a mod. Most PV's have protection built into the chip. Except mech's which have no protection obviously. Bet in mechs, you want the high drain type of batteries that can handle the load.
