Started work on a dual 18650 and a smaller lipo mod today. Drilled out cases, will be finishing fit and filing next two days and begin paint over the weekend.

Careful of the 'touch button' if it gets wet it will auto fire. When battery gets low, it will continue to fire after letting off button.

Never had an issue with this vendor yet. At $4.73 per cell, chance you take. IMO these out perform the sony vtc5.

As stated, they are fine for regulated mods, DNA,SX chip mods etc but not good for mechs. I use them in my DNA mods with great results. A 1200mah lipo lasts longer then a 2500mah 18650 lion cell.

Careful with the DNA clone chips. Quality control on the boards and the mods made with them aren't that great. The Authentic DNA and SX chips are where the quality us right now.

Now imagine that in a enclosed in a mod, in your pocket or in your car while your shopping. Battery safety is no joke.

Throw it away!! It's just a battery! Certainly not worth the risk. Something went wrong with the cell. Li-ion cells discharged that low can form sharp crystals in the catalyst which rip through the thin bag that holds the catalyst. When the bag is ripped, all bets are off. Time for the famous vent with flames. Since you do not have an xray machine to see inside the battery, you can never know when and if those crystals form. Venting with flames can happen at any time. Tomorrow or a year from now. Also remember that venting with flames is a THERMAL non-electrical condition that can take adjacent cells with the venting cell. Pretty soon you wont just have one cell venting but 10 or 20 (if you store your batteries near each other), and thats more than enough to burn down your house or catch your car on fire. They didnt just ground an entire fleet of planes because li-ion fires are not really a problem. They grounded the planes because li-ion venting cells are VERY dangerous. And did I mention all the toxic gases that a venting cell produces? And reviving a low-voltage cell saves how much money? Just not worth the risk.

Problems with the manufacturer, not the boards outright failing, Or not supplying proper voltages, reading incorrect ohms.

Did he have a short? I would be extremely careful with that battery. It was over discharged to an unsafe level and possibly damaged.

Sadly the clone DNA's are not worth the boards they are made on. The quality is so hit or miss, with A lot failing within weeks. Quality boards with a great company to back them up. Authentic dna boards only for this guy.

Look for some keystone 1042 or 1048 battery sleds. Single and dual,respectively.

Alibaba is basically a vendor site. It's where vape shops shop etc. There is usually a "minimum order quantity" for instance I just ordered 300 LG 18650 batteries for a group buy. Try and find my price $3.80 per cell before shipping/fee's you won't find it anywhere period. I go straight to the horses mouth for prices. But I have to buy 300 at a time to get that price. For a normal guy wanting a few pieces, don't look at alibaba.
