  1. Hello everyone. My wife just bought me the Project Sub-Ohm Carbon Fiber Edition Flaskman by Vapor Flask for my upcoming birthday. I'm really excited about the device as it is my first experience with a DNA device (let alone the new dna 40 with temp control). I have been reading a lot about using ni200 wire and from what everyone says it appears to be a real pain in the backside until you get the hang of it. I was just wondering if any of you out there have experience with it and if you can pass on any tips and tricks my way before I make it home (still in Iraq atm) and give it a try. Thanks and have a great weekend. DG
  2. Ya Earth it is mighty strange. No matter what build I put on it it is always .2 ohms less than what my ohm reader says and what my IPV2 says. I hope that its just a one off defective unit because I love the form factor and may want to bump up to the V2. Either way I still used it as my daily.
  3. Unless they work a little on the accuracy of their internal ohm reader I may have to pass on v2 even though I enjoy using my ipv mini (mine is off by .2 ohms).
  4. Congrats on the Orchid decision. I'm sure you will enjoy it.
  5. Hey Tug you can't go wrong with the Russian. It's a solid piece of kit and the flavor that it produces is off the charts. Really it depends on what kind of airflow that you like or prefer for mouth to lung or straight up lung hits. When I began vaping I was only doing mouth to lung and the Russian fit the bill, but after a while I began to get into lung hits and the Russian's airflow just could not keep up (even wide open with the screw removed) so I had to move on and eventually got into the Lemo because of it's more open airflow (adjustable). The Orchid on the other hand has great airflow (not adjustable, at least mine is not) that is more suited for lung hits. I hope this helps you make your decision a little easier.
  6. I have the Lemo and DEFINITELY recommend it (coming primarily from the Russian 91%/Kayfun, Fogger V4, and the Orchid Vox edition). When I get home I will buy the Lemo Drop and the Joytech Delta 2 with the rebuildable deck option (loving those single coil tanks).
  7. Agreed... funny listening to a guy speak Japanese while jamming to what almost sounded like The Notorious B.I.G. He does make a clean double barrel coil though. His method is definitely different than mine but end result is the same.
  8. Yeah that double barrel build is awesome but really sucks up that juice as well as battery life. I have since removed it and put in a 28 ga 1.5 ohm coil (trying it out as I am normally under 1 ohm). I'm quite surprised at the flavor and vapor production with this build in the Lemo. While I'm away from home and not having the ability to order more juice I have to stick to more traditional single coil builds to save my juice a bit. This is also one of the main reasons I was elated with the Lemo. It's a single coil style tank. I do like dual coil tanks but damn they are juice and battery hogs. When I get home I'm gonna buy the new Joytech Delta 2 (with the rebuild deck option) as well as the Lemo Drop. I'm super stoked that more single coil tanks are being made (I know there are more out there but these are simple and I love simple).

  10. I have also heard of this but fortunately mine worked fine without any incident, but this was way before I began rebuilding or sub-ohming (.5-.9). I don't think I would sub-ohm with this. I've moved on from it a long time ago so its just collecting dust. I'll give it away one of these days.
  11. Does anyone else who uses Koh Gen Doh peel off the stiffer outer layer of the pad? I do and user just the inner portion. I'm not sure if there is any difference but it has become a habit.
  12. I began vaping nearly 2 years ago. I started off with 24mg nic, after about 6 months I moved down to 12mg for another 6 months, then down to 6mg for nearly 6 months and now I use both 3mg and 0mg for all my juices. I cannot vape any of my 6mg nic juices anymore because they are way too harsh for me to handle. I find the 0mg lacking in flavor. I guess I'm just used to the nic taste, so its gonna be a while before I completely give up the nic. I can vape 0mg for a week at a time but I tend to go back to my 3mg juice every other week or so.
  13. Very nice build Mr. Smith. How does it vape? On a side note I just built a double barrel coil on my Lemo. Wow so much room compared to this build on my 91%. I was able to easily cram a 9/10 wrap 26ga kanthal on a 5/64 mini screwdriver (deck holes were almost too small but the 2 strands did fit). It ohm'd out at .5. I will say this much......I loved the double barrel build on my 91% but with the extra airflow that the Lemo gives....OMG what a great vape. I'll post pics the next time I make it on the Lemo. If you have a Lemo you gotta try this build. You won't be disappointed. DG
  14. I'm gonna have to try this one (as well as the Billow). I'm a bit concerned about only a 3ml tank, but I'm fairly certain a 5ml version will be made available at some point in time. Thanks for sharing this. I've gotta admit I'm a tank junkie.
  15. I'm sure these are awesome, but I think I will stick to old school drill bits and mini screwdrivers.
  16. This RTA looks promising. Just watched the youtube video review of it and it looks cool and I'm sure the cloud chasers will love it. A wee tad bit of a juice hog I would assume but really nice looking. Check out the review if you haven't seen it.
  17. I was a huge Kayfun / Russian 91% fan. Both are what really kicked me off on tanks and how to perfect my builds. I used them for at least a year. Then I began experimenting with other tanks because I just wanted more airflow and just didnt feel like tinkering and opening up the airflow. I have since moved on to the Lemo by Eleaf and I can honestly say this is the best Kayfun experience that I have ever had. Not to change any minds but if you're interested in the Kayfun but have little experience with them, I would personally recommend trying the Lemo. It has the same build deck style. The flavor is just as awesome as my beloved Russian and has awesome airflow at a fraction of the cost of an original Kayfun. Good luck with the Kayfun V4. If its as good as the original Kayfun / Russian I'm sure it will be a stellar tank that will please you for years to come. DG
  18. I almost pulled the plug on the sx mini but decided the ipv mini would be a better choice to get thrown around in Iraq. If it ever comes down in price I will for sure.

    Legion?

I agree on the Magma choice. You will love it. I have one and its awesome.
  20. @ Rixter...ya bro I was gonna say how the heck did you get the cotton down through the hole. This is the only reason I left gennies alone. Never could get the hang of doing it, but then again I was totally new at building. Perhaps one day I will give a gennie another shot.
