  1. That is true Rixter. Temp control for under $70 is quite amazing. Hope this will drop the prices down on some of the other temp control devices out there some. But I doubt it.
  2. It's different. I'll wait out on this one for the time being. Not enough rain in Iraq.
  3. Wow! What a topic. Scary but I'm glad you brought it up drizzt. Many newcomers reading this should benefit from it. I hope that your buddy learns more about what he is doing before he hurts himself or someone else around him.
  4. An update to my post: I'm down to 1.5-3mg. I have ordered a few 0mg. I used them for a couple of days. I'm not sure if its a psychological thing or not but after a couple of days I think I'm still dependent on the little nic that's in my juice. My juice two of which are the same, one with 1.5mg and the other with 0mg, taste completely different in a yuck kind of way. Again it could be psychological but who knows. I'm gonna stick with 3mg and lower forever I guess.
  5. Welcome to VT. This is a great place to read, listen, ask questions and learn. You will find everyone here patient and willing to assist. I hope that you have a great vaping experience and always remember vape etiquette and safety.
  6. Mech mods may not go away but all of mine are sitting collecting dust. I have a V3 Tronix Flip, a Wood Fairy Mod, and a copper Viggo . All are original. Since I don't use them at all anymore I may get with VT admin and help set up a contest of some sort and give one or all them away (don't tell my wife she would kill me as I spent a lot of money on them). Sort of my way of giving back to the vaping community. I don't know, I guess I could just sell them. Still mulling over the idea. I return back stateside in 3 weeks so hopefully I will have an idea what I want to do.
  7. Not to make an argument out of this but your statement (because everyone's experience is different) is not entirely true. You state "Any Tank" twice which would leave someone not familiar with tanks that "Any Tank" cannot handle a very high VG liquid or that you have tried all tanks in the market (which I find unlikely). This is very misleading in my opinion. I use a Lemo, a Vox edition v4 Orchid, and also used a Fogger V4 and I only use 20/80 ejuice and I have no problems with burnt hits...ever. Now although I do yet own a sub ohm tank such as the Kanger Subtank mini, I have read and seen many reviews where others are using them with high vg content in their juice without any issues (even the stock non rebuildable coils). For rebuildable coils its all about how you build your coils, airflow, and how you wick your coils. As soon as I get my subohm tank I'm very certain that I will be able to vape my higher VG eliquid through it without any issues at all. Thanks, DG
  8. Sweet. Pass on the knowledge. I wish I knew this when I was using my Russian 91%. Would have saved me from those nasty burnt hits I was always getting.
  9. Awesome! I'm glad that it worked for you. You are most welcome.
  10. I finally found after some searching the wicking method that I have described. I tend to thin my cotton tails a bit more than the video describes but I have found it works splendidly. Enjoy even if its a bit long winded.
  11. I'm just waiting on a survival story where someone makes fire to stay alive in the wilderness by using an ecig coil.
  12. You are most welcome gag8tor.
  13. Thanks Mirage for the kind words. I am super stoked to hear that this works just as well in an RDA as it does in an RTA. Happy vaping bud.
  14. Lately I've found my wicking takes much more time than wrapping, and installing coils. At times it gets to the point where I find myself nipping single strands of wick. Talk about overkill and a headache. But no dry hits is definitely a pay off.
  15. Hey Tug I used to torch all my coils but I guess I have gotten lazy after torching for a year and just pulse fire them now. Go figure eh? That being said if I use anything under 28ga (which is almost never), then I would torch'em.
  16. Best of luck to you Mirage. Sorry to hear about the stress.
  17. Hahahaha. I can imagine how hard that was. Who says we vapers don't know how to show restraint right?
  18. Keep on practicing, your vape experience can only get better not to mention more fun.
  19. Good luck Mirage. I hope it helps. I'm not too sure how well this works with RDA's because I'm mostly a RTA kinda guy and the above is basically for an RTA.
  20. Very true what jasonculp says. Although I do not have the kanger subtank mini yet, I have found that the tighter the cotton is through the coil the better wicking I get when using my tanks. I have been building a lot on the Lemo and the VOX edition orchid v4. When I get the Kanger subtank mini I will use the same method as I describe below. I have been using Koh Gen Doh Japanese cotton. What I do additionally is: 1. Cut off a section of the cotton and remove one side of the thicker cotton side. 2. Fold it in half with the thicker side on the inside and the fluffier side on the outside and then roll it on my pant leg until its rounded (not too tight of a roll but tight enough (after practice you will get the feel for it). 3. Pinch one end and insert it into my coil making sure its nice and tight. 4. Cut the ends about 1/4 inch from my deck (rather long). 5. Take a sewing needle or pin and start running it through the ends (takes several minutes for each side) taking out all clumps and gently pull the excess off (this leaves the ends almost see through). 6. Trim the wick ends very close to the deck and cutting off excess from the edges. 7. Place chimney onto the deck (do not saturate with juice yet to keep the wick ends fluffy). 8. Gently, very gently with needle slightly move wick ends towards chimney deck just enough to see light from the juice channels. 9. Add juice to only the coil and slightly pulse the mods fire button to draw in the juice (not long enough to make vapor). Continue until the entire wick is wet. 10. Reassemble tank, fill and enjoy. I used to get dry hits when I took too long of an inhale or when chain vaping. Using this rebuilding technique I never get dry hits anymore. YMMV. I found this method on youtube someplace but for the life of me cant remember who made it.
  21. I love the original Lemo so I gotta try this one as well.
