I'm still very new to my mechanical mod. I have bought both a kick and a hologram safety fuse. I have played with the kick a bit and ALWAYS use the safety fuse. I find the kick difficult to use though as the adjustable screw is so tiny and hard to see without some serious bifocals (and my eyesight is 20/20. I'm not sure if the kick is worth the hassle to get it dialed in as I must take it out of the mod completely to get it dialed in. My question is this. If I opt out of using the kick what ohm rating on a KPT 2 and viva nova's is safe to use or not safe to use? I normally vary between 1.8 - 3.0 ohm cartomizers. Does it matter any? I'm not using sub ohm rebuilds yet. Thanks for your input as it would greatly put my mind at ease. I hope my question makes sense. DG *edit- I'm vaping with an Electric Angel clone and reviews have said it has very little voltage drop.

I vape indoors and in my vehicle with my son present. I've read somewhere (but I could still be wrong or read the article inaccurately) that nicotine when hits the air almost immediately dissipates rendering anyone in or around it highly unlikely being able to ingest it. That being said I still make every attempt to blow the vapor away from my his face if he is sitting nearby. As far as the vapor (minus the nicotine) is concerned I personally do not think that it and of itself is harmful. It does bother me some that he see's me vaping and on some level might find it cool and eventually when he gets older might want to imitate me, as he does with everything else. His mother still smokes analogs and occasionally vapes. She never smokes inside the house and when she smokes in the vehicle the window is always open/cracked. I have told him that what both of us are doing is not wise and if I ever catch him that there will be repercussions. As far as vaping around my cat, I'm not bothered in the slightest as I feel since I dropped nearly 5k on his hip replacement I have earned the right.

I can't say for certain but prior to giving it a proper cleaning, my tank sat for about a week completely filled with juice. Dont know if having juice sit in it for a while or cleaning properly cleaning the tank was my solution to get rid of the metallic taste but one of them certainly did the trick. I do know for certain that I never did clean my tank prior to its first use.

As I've mentioned before when I used my KPT 2 I was getting a metallic taste. After about 4-5 tanks I took it apart and cleaned it really good and refilled it. Low and behold I no longer can taste the metallic. Woohoo!!! I'm really loving it now. *bows and thanks the vapor gods*

Sorry it took so long to reply. I just got back to the Green Zone for work (with tons of supplies this time, I may have over did it but what the heck). That being said, I finally completed the survey. I agree with mmseng that the survey was well put together. I'm very glad to see others in the forum are members also.

I'm pleased to announce that I just became a member of CASAA and will donate hopefully soon. I'm must admit though that I was shocked to see that there were only 5000* members. Really? That can't be right or am I missing something? With this industry picking up as it is and as popular that ecigs are in general how can those numbers right? Either way I want my voice to be heard if it comes down to the Government trying to take away another one of my freedoms. It would be nice for a poll to see how many members of vaportalk are actual members. DG

I toyed with the V1 of these in a B&M store nearby. It was definitely a lovely device to hold. More solid than expected and well constructed to boot. But I wanted it to have VW as well so I passed on purchasing it. Glad that I did now as this version has what I wanted. When this comes out I will most definitely be getting one (hopefully before I come back from work in Nov).

Most excellent ways of explaining the nicotine to her. Thanks very much. So overall by vaping she may actually be taking in more nicotine, but that in and of itself is not so terrible considering that she will be knocking out the all of the other harmful carcinogens. Once weened off of the analogs and she feels comfortable then at her own pace she can adjust the nic levels in the e-juice to suit her own needs. When I think of myself I can honestly say that I am a nicoholic. I have dropped down to 12mg of nic in all my juices, however I still for the most part chain vape. Honestly I just love vaping with all the different flavors and combinations of devices out there. Perhaps its just me but for the time being and the foreseeable future I dont want to quit vaping. I actually find it fun.

My wife who still smokes cigarettes and occasionally vapes asked me a nicotine question that I could not answer so I hope those with more knowledge on the topic can help out. I vape with 12mg of nic in my juice. Her cigarette pack says that it contains .6mg of nic. So if she vapes my juice with 12mg of nic will she ultimately be getting more nicotine in her system from my juice as opposed to smoking her cigarettes? I would like to put her mind at ease by vaping. Thanks in advance. DG

I havent tried it with a non metal drip tip yet, but on your suggestion I will. If it works for me as it did for you it may encourage me to use my KPT again. Such a pity though sitting on my cabinet looking all beautiful and shiny.

At the moment I'm vaping Mister-E-Liquid's Ry4 with a hint of menthol. Man do I really taste that caramel and vanilla. Oh so creamy (nic at 12 mg).

I've been reading about folks finding their sweet spot with certain PV's and I've just found mine and it only took me 5 months and 5 different PV's. Gosh I've got to be the dumbest to have tried so many and for such a long time before finally finding that elusive sweet spot. I'm using the electric angel clone with a kick along with a viva nova stv tank and a 2.8 ohm atty. The juice is tasting great and the vapor is unbelievable. I'm so happy that I had to share. Now to get the hang of rebuilding my rsst genesis and I will be complete. Oh and at the moment I'm not so happy with the KPT 2. I taste metal with everything I've tried in it. Yuck. Vaping Dragon's Blood. I havent let it steep but a couple of days, but I can tell you this.....It's friggin awesome. I'm gonna most def have to get much more of this stuff. I'm so glad I dropped the dime for this.

I just received my sigelei zmax v3 today and have been vaping it non stop. I dont know about v2 but the V3 really rocks. It has a great heft to it making if feel very durable. Took me all of about 5 min to figure out the various displays and such. I am extremely happy with it. I love it way more than my KTS telescopic storm (I will most likely sell it). If my V3 holds up to harsh conditions at work (Iraq), I will most likely buy another one as a backup unit. IMO you wont go wrong with the V3 of the Zmax.

Just ordered an EHPro Electric Angel clone since I've read great reviews about it. I'm beginning to be a clone junkie. What is wrong with me seriously? I can't stop buying new stuff. I think its a sickness. Well at least I havent gotten into the original high end mods yet *chuckles evilly*.

I dont know about the taste buds and them going on vacation, but I can say that after 20ml of cinnamon ejuice (the most tasty juice to date), my taste buds were wack for at least a week and a half. Anything during that time tasted like crap. Since then I've quit anything cinnamon, even though I love it.

Couldnt hold back and am trying Bobo's at the moment in a KPT2 and it produces some serious vapor coming from the KPT2. I dont know if steeping helps or not so I just said screw it and went for broke. Interesting flavor I must admit. Nothing like I've had before. To me it sort of like black grapes minus the sweetness of the grape for some reason. Its not unpleasant and I think I like it, but I'm still trying to figure out the taste. It will be interesting to see if steeping this bad boy will bring out some additional flavors.

I just got in my orders and one of them is smoktech rsst genesis atomizer. Felt like I wanted to begin rebuilding my own stuff. I searched and searched for one of those nifty ohm readers from all vendors, but alas they were all sold out. So I did the next best thing. I just ordered a sigelei Zmax V3 to check my atty's voltage. Of course it was just an excuse to buy another PV but hey the excuse worked. Oh and not to derail this thread, but I just tried for the very first time to get my rsst up and working.....epic failure. Those guys on youtube make it look real easy. I will eventually get the hang of it, but I found it difficult. Me an my big clumsy fingers trying to wrap a coil around a wick was most likely comical to watch but extremely annoying to me.

Ordered mine this morning. NJoy still giving samplers away.

Could I just use the carto as a dripper, then buy a drip shield? If so then it may be my way into dripping.

Thanks for that reality check. I will wait. But why in the **** would they not come pre-drilled? That part really pisses me off.

Thanks IMedic. This really helps a bunch. It looks like the carto's that I have definitely do not have pre-drilled holes in them. That really sucks. I guess I will go buy a micro drill set and get it done. Sure do wish the holes were in them already. Do they need holes in them or can I just fill the carto up, but then I guess no juice would get inside right?

Thanks for the reply. It does look like holes need to be punched out, however why would it sell knowing it needed that? I dont mind tinkering and customizing, but would have thought that it would have come ready to vape. Alas my wisdom on the topic is nill. Wait we shall then.

Hello fellow vapors, Recently I purchased a KTS telescopic storm from http://www.vapedoctor.com/kts-telescopic-storm-kts-mod-v3-starter-kit/ It came as a kit that included a DCT tank as shown in the link above. Thing is I have searched youtube on how to use this model and I came up with nothing. There are other DCT tanks that have been reviewed, however I haven't found any instructions on how to use this particular model. If you have any experience that you can pass along that may assist me I would be greatly appreciated. I dont want to use it without some sort of instruction from someone. Sorry I'm still new at this but I'm trying. Have a wonderful day vaping day.
